Why states require business entities to have registered agents
The registered agent requirement came about as an aspect of due process. A lawsuit against your business cannot move forward in court without your business being properly notified first. The registered agent must have a physical address within that state and be available during business hours so someone suing you can easily find you. This requirement gives the court an easy way to notify you. This also eliminates the possibility of big corporations hiding behind 1000’s of employees. The registered agent is your business’ point of contact with the state and for service of process. The theory behind the requirements of the listed registered agent is to ensure your business maintains a reliable way to be contacted.
Reasons why businesses hire registered agent services
The majority of small businesses (10 employees or less) do not hire registered agents. That said, there are some specific reasons why some business owners do opt hire registered agent services; you’ll find those reasons listed below:
No desire for extra paperwork
Registered agent services typically cost somewhere between $100 and $300 per year. For some business owners, it’s well worth the fee to not have to track the official notices and annual report due dates with the state. If you hire a registered agent service your registered agent should have a system in place to track and notify you when annual reports are due to keep your business in compliance with the state, so you don’t have to worry about it. Also, all your important documents will be kept in one place and you don’t have to bother keeping track of notices.

Cramer: The Pisanis of the World
https://seekingalpha.com/instablog/2918951-g-hudson/1026551-how-the-big-players-manipulate-the-stock-market
"Cramer stated that everything he did was legal, but that illegal activity is common in the hedge fund industry as well. He also stated that some hedge fund managers spread false rumors to drive a stock down: "What's important when you are in that hedge-fund mode is to not do anything remotely truthful because the truth is so against your view, that it's important to create a new truth, to develop a fiction." Cramer described a variety of tactics that hedge fund managers use to affect a stock's price. Cramer said that one strategy to keep a stock price down is to spread false rumors to reporters he described as "the Pisanis of the world". The comment was a reference to CNBC correspondent Bob Pisani, who reports from the trading floor of the New York Stock Exchange. "You have to use these guys," said Cramer. He also discussed giving information to "the bozo reporter from The Wall Street Journal" to get an article published. Cramer said this practice, although illegal, is easy to do "because the SEC doesn't understand it." During the interview Cramer referred to himself as a "banking class hero.""
They don't short it. Cost too much. I can't even short it.
MM pay for newsletter hits to do the work for them. Then they pay them a performance fee..
If they in are in a squeeze, then the firm loses money- the MM loses money, then he losses his money/job.... They will do anything to preserve resources.
