Found this on the web:Throughout the day yesterday, I made 3 telephone calls (mainly out of frustration). One to the FDA, one to HEB ( the Philly # ), and one to Dianne, the IR rep.
FDA call:
Called general number and was transferred to drug approval dept. Not a long hold at all. I did not ask the woman what her title was but she didn't sound very knowledgeable. She even could have been an assistant, receptionist, or college intern for all I know. All she said was that ampligen was not in her system so it hasn't been approved as of yet. She also said that if it was rejected, it would also not be in her system. So the the conversation was basically pointless, which I expected from the minute I decided to call them.
Heb Headquarters out of Philly:
Spoke with receptionist, LOL. Very nice lady. Just told me heb is still waiting on the FDA and everyone around the office was as anxious as the investors. Could also sense the frustration in her voice. Think she was getting bombed with inquiries. Convo lasted about 2 minutes. She said she wished she could tell me something but there was nothing to tell.
Dianne from IR:
Called her, no pick up. Left a lengthy, calm but assertive message, addressing my sentiments. She called me back yesterday afternoon from a NYC #, 646 area code. She was very cordial with me and we spoke for about 5 minutes. She sounded like she had a southern twang to her voice. I told her she picked a hell of a week to be out of the office, to break the ice. She said she was out of the office but has been working nonstop, 12 hour days since Sunday. She sounded tired and frustrated, but sincere. She said that the FDA has not gotten back to them and that there were no news to report but she wish she had some. I asked her why heb does not issue a pr stating that they haven't heard from the FDA yet, putting the further delay on the FDA, to ease investor concerns. She said that would not be beneficial. You don't want to ruffle the FDA's feathers. Give them their time. Do not pester them. Approving Ampligen will be a landmark decision, as far as treating CFS patients. The FDA is a government bureaucratic agency. She did not say this but the gist of it was to play by the rules and don't piss off the people that can decide your fate. She did say that if I could find another pharm co that has issued a pr stating that they haven't heard from the FDA after a delay was past due, she'd consider it, lol. I informed her that I was a long term investor and she referred to me as a long term sufferer, LOL. She did say that she is confident it will get approved, not if but when. She referred to the pink sheets article as something she would like to think was true and also stated the fact that no advisory committee was called for amp, which was very favorable. She said, just be patient. Everyone is waiting on the FDA ( sounded very sincere). She did voice frustration of how investors that had 2 weeks invested in heb were calling pissed off and wanted to talk about speculation, which she wasn't going to do. That was pretty much it. She said, feel free to call get whenever I like.
Take all this with a grain of salt. I sold my original position but bought back in on the little run up that occurred in AH 2 days ago
