Yes agreed I prefer nan.v as they are drilling currently with $7M cash. IMO Huge upside with their 75km x 15km nickel belt.
Yes .... plus 3000 Meters of Drilling, $ 7m Cash, Metallurgical Tests Confirms up to 35 % Ni. ( that's' 3.5% Nickel)
and NAN also has 2 large long term shareholders
Sentient Executive GP IV, Ltd. 29 % Ownership,
VMS Ventures Inc. 27 % Ownership
These are some of the reasons I hold this stock and write positively about it.
IMHO 100 % of a 75km x 15km nickel belt that is the result of an 500km meteor impact crater that occurred 3 billion years ago is one of a kind project and this is where NAN is drilling & has drilled & discovered 2% nickel along with copper, cobalt, gold, platinum, & palladium.
Yes Antman
NAN hired Alex Balogh the former CEO & Chairman of Falconbridge Mining which was bought out buy Inco then Inco was bought by Vale of Brazil.
Mr Balogh is a great addition to the mgmt. A lot of Nickel experience on the board John Patterson P.Geo is also from Falconbridge.
I like North American Nickel and its project.
They have $7M in cash,( not bad for a junior miner)
They are currently drilling in their 2nd year spending $5M on the project. It's the earth's oldest impact crater with a very large Nickel belt 75km x 15km that's very large.
The area has no trees, the property is in SW Greenland, no Environmental or Aboriginal issues :)
I'm long and will hold and wait for 2013 drill results.
glta
Your right antman,
I too like the company & project.
$7M in cash, currently drilling again (2nd year) a very large Nickel belt 75km x 15 km. No trees, the property is in SW Greenland, No Environmental or Aboriginal issues !
I'm long for now & will hold & wait for drill results.

Tests up to 35 % Ni & 34 % Cu
Vancouver, British Columbia, June 11, 2013 – North American Nickel Inc. (TSX VENTURE: NAN) (OTCBB: WSCRF) (CUSIP: 65704T 108) (the “Company”) is pleased to announce that it has received a report on the results of mineralogical studies performed by SGS Canada Inc. (“SGS”) on three samples of mineralized drill core selected by NAN from NAN’s 100% owned Maniitsoq Ni-Cu-Co-PGE sulphide project in southwest Greenland. Two of the samples came from the Imiak Hill zone and one from the Spotty Hill zone.
The objectives of the study were to identify and quantify the nickel, copper and cobalt-bearing minerals within the samples and to determine the liberation and association characteristics of the nickel and copper sulphides.
Highlights and selected results are presented below.
John Pattison, North American Nickel’s Chief Geologist states: “QEMSCAN is a new technology that gives us a detailed picture of the mineralogy of our sulphide mineralization and host rocks and how it might affect the metallurgy in a mining/processing scenario. At this early stage of exploration it is very helpful for management and investors to know that, based on the mineralogical characteristics of the samples analyzed, there is potential for high nickel recoveries from both the Imiak and Spotty Hill zones.”
QEMSCAN REPORT HIGHLIGHTS
• All three samples show high potential nickel recovery. Mineralogically limiting grade-recovery curves indicate maximum potential nickel grades of 35% at recoveries of 84 to 87%.
• Pentlandite is the main nickel-bearing mineral and it contains 95.5 to 96.3% of all the nickel in the samples. Silicate hosted nickel comprises less than 1% of all the nickel.
• Pentlandite P80 grain sizes range from 53 to 65 µm.
• Total potentially floatable pentlandite ranges from 96.3 to 97.6%.
• All copper is hosted by chalcopyrite. Chalcopyrite P80 grain sizes range from 30 to 40 µm.
• Potential recoveries for copper are variable across the samples. Mineralogically limiting grade-recovery curves indicate maximum potential copper grades of 34% at recoveries of 52 to 77%.
• Total potentially floatable chalcopyrite ranges from 87.1 to 95.4%.
• Pentlandite and pyrite are the main hosts of the cobalt in the samples.
It was good to see the interest and share appreciation. Appears the offers are lighter. Seems that holders are waiting for the drilling news etc.
I think the price jumped a bit due to the up coming drilling.
Obviously more news is coming, I'm holding for assays.

North American Nickel - Maniitsoq Impact Crater
METALLURGICAL TEST WORK CONFIRMS PENTLANDITE
Vancouver, B.C. – March 14, 2013. North American Nickel Inc. (TSX VENTURE: NAN) (OTCBB: WSCRF) (CUSIP: 65704T 108) North American Nickel ("NAN") is pleased to announce that it has received the first results of metallurgical studies performed by SGS Canada Inc. (“SGS”). SGS, using QEMSCAN analysis on samples of mineralized drill core from NAN’s 100% owned Maniitsoq Ni-Cu-Co-PGE sulphide project in southwest Greenland, has clearly identified the nickel mineralization as being pentlandite.
This is a positive first step for the metallurgy of Maniitsoq because pentlandite is the principle nickel mineral in the world
’s nickel sulphide camps.
On the completion of these metallurgical studies by SGS, NAN hopes to establish the macro parameters that will guide subsequent larger scale metallurgical testing of the multiple surface and near surface Ni, Cu, Co and PGM bearing sulphide prospects located within Maniitsoq’s 75 km by 15 km Greenland Norite belt.
The QEMSCAN analysis is conducted in three stages with stage one now complete and stage two and three in progress and results expected in April.
John Pattison, North American Nickel’s Chief Geologist states: “Stage one, the field stitch (FS) imagery, covers only small sections of core, but the results are very encouraging as we can now confirm medium and coarse-grained pentlandite in two of the three samples. We look forward to receiving the results of the particle mineral analysis (PMA) as they will provide us with an indication of the liberation characteristics of the sulphides. While the Maniitsoq project is at a relatively early stage, it is not too early to begin investigating the metallurgical characteristics of the mineralization, as we plan for success in drilling several targets in 2013.”

Pentlandite: World Occurrence’s
Pentlandite is found within the lower margins of mineralised layered intrusions, the prime example being the Bushveld igneous complex, South Africa, the Voiseys Bay troctolite intrusive complex in Canada, the Duluth gabbro, in North America, and various other localities throughout the world. In these locations it forms an important nickel ore.
Pentlandite is also the principal ore mineral won from Kambalda type komatiitic nickel ore deposits, the type examples of which are in the Yilgarn Craton of Western Australia. Similar deposits exist at Nkomati, Namibia, in the Thompson Belt, Canada, and a few examples from Brazil.
Pentlandite, but primarily chalcopyrite and PGEs, are won from the supergiant Norilsk nickel deposit, in trans-Siberian Russia.
The Sudbury deposit in Ontario, Canada, is associated with a meteorite impact crater. Pentlandite-pyrite-pyrrhotite ore in this location was formed from an extensive melt sheet formed by melting of rock post impact, which became sulfur saturated and formed extensive sheetlike ore deposits.

Announces Preliminary Results - Maniitsoq Nickel Project
“All five holes intersected disseminated nickel copper sulphide mineralization at depths of 2 to 52 meters below surface.”
“The recognition of this bulk mineable nickel copper mineralization...”
_____________________________________________________________________________________
Vancouver, B.C. – October 3, 2012. North American Nickel Inc. (TSX VENTURE: NAN) (OTCBB: WSCRF) (CUSIP: 65704T 108) North American Nickel ("NAN") is pleased to announce that the preliminary results from its first drill campaign at the 100% owned Maniitsoq project in Southwest Greenland indicate the property has the potential to host not only high-grade, semi-massive to massive sulphide type nickel copper deposits, but disseminated, bulk mineable nickel copper deposits, as well.
Historically, nickel exploration at Maniitsoq has focused mainly on massive sulphide type mineralization. Two of NAN’s 2012 drill holes (MQ-12-001 and 002) intersected semi-massive to massive sulphide mineralization in noritic rocks at the known Imiak Hill occurrence in the northern part of the Greenland Norite belt. This style of mineralization responds well to electromagnetic (EM) techniques and the results of bore hole EM (BHEM) surveys indicate that the mineralization is open down plunge, as described in a NAN press release dated September 6, 2012.
Importantly, significant amounts of disseminated, bulk mineable nickel copper style sulphide mineralization were encountered in two of NAN’s 2012 holes located approximately 1.25 km east of Imiak Hill at an occurrence known as Spotty Hill.
Historical drilling at Spotty Hill consisted of five closely spaced holes, 32.8 to 59.8 m in length, drilled within a 120 x 40 meter area. All five holes intersected disseminated nickel copper sulphide mineralization at depths of 2 to 52 meters below surface. NAN’s drill holes were spaced 80 meters apart and went deeper. In hole MQ-12-05, NAN intersected disseminated mineralization over a core length of 118.8 meters to a depth of 130 meters below surface, significantly increasing the known depth extent of the mineralization.
NAN Chief Geologist, John Pattison, states: “Once we saw the disseminated, bulk mineable nickel copper style mineralization in core, it provided us with a new understanding of what is possible within this camp-sized land package. Fortunately, two of our geologists, Neil Richardson and Mark Fedikow were at the Maniitsoq camp and we still had time to identify and visit several potential sites for this style of mineralization before the season ended. The recognition of this bulk mineable nickel copper mineralization provides us with a wider scope for discovery and, it appears, many additional targets for our 2013 program.”
In the press release dated September 20, 2012, NAN announced the drill program at Maniitsoq totalled 1,550 meters of diamond drilling in nine holes. (See Figure 1 for locations of areas drilled). A total of 531 core samples have been submitted to Activation Laboratories for analysis and results are pending.
The program was originally planned to include 10 holes totalling up to 2,000 meters. This was based on an average hole length of 200 meters. Several drill holes intersected the target well above 150 meters, so it was not necessary to take them to 200 meters. Also, two targets in the southern part of the property were not drilled as the cost of moving the drill such a long distance, so late in the season with deteriorating weather, could have driven costs up to an unacceptable level. It was decided to leave these targets for next season’s drilling.

More Info:
The only drilling for nickel on the Maniitsoq property was done between 1965 and 1972 by Kryolitselskabet Øresund (A/S-KØ). KØ drilled 119 holes totaling 6,287 meters - average depth 53 meters. The drilling tested exposed sulphide mineralization and shallow electromagnetic (EM) anomalies directly associated with the exposed mineralization.
Results:
9.85 meters averaging 2.67 % Ni and 0.60 % Cu at Imiak Hill
12.89 meters averaging 2.24 % Ni and 0.63 % Cu at Fossilik
4.95 meters @ 1.97% Ni 0.43% Cu at Quagssuk
The Greenland Norite Belt (GNB) is a 15 km wide by 75 km long “J” shaped belt that rims the Finnefjeld gneiss complex.
Natural impact craters are the result of a hypervelocity impact of an asteroid or comet with a planetary surface. The Impacts are an extraordinary geological process involving vast amounts of energy, and extreme strain rates, causing immediate rises in temperature and pressure that produce fracturing, disruption and structural redistribution of the targeted materials and metals. The Maniitsoq Crater is the oldest known impact carter on Earth.
The Greenland Geological Survey (GEUS) is currently investigating the possibility that the Finnefjeld gneiss complex lies at the centre of an extremely large, deeply eroded meteor impact structure and that the Maniitsoq norites may have been emplaced as a result of the impact. If so the Maniitsoq norites would be the only other known nickeliferous norites associated with an impact outside of the Sudbury Basin.
John Ferguson, a world expert in meteorite impacts, and John Rowntree of Hunter Minerals Pty Limited (“Hunter”) investigated the relevant geo-data base and concluded that the Maniitsoq structure is compatible with a large deeply eroded impact site. Hunter approached NAN with the opportunity to acquire the intellectual property and data developed by them and offered their assistance in connection with the acquisition of the Mineral License.
Adam Garde, a Danish Geological Survey geologist, also argues that the Maniitsoq area is an impact structure much like the Sudbury Basin in Ontario, Canada.
Most of the nickel discovered to date on NAN’s Maniitsoq property is associated with norite intrusions that are concentrated in the GNB.
The Sudbury, Canada mining area is a 1.85 billion year old meteorite impact crater and the first mineral discoveries were made in 1883.
The total ore mined to date in Sudbury is approximately 1.7 billion tonnes with 40 billion pounds of nickel, 36 billion pounds of copper, 70 million ounces of platinum, palladium and gold and 283 million ounces of silver.

Yes we do, here's what I have on FRMC
-------------------------------------------------------------
FormCap Corporation (OTCBB - PK: FRMC), an emerging junior in the oil and gas sector, is strategically positioned in the Permian Basin, a prolific area that has produced over 35 billion barrels of oil and 100 trillion cubic feet of gas, and is host to over 20 percent of all domestic oil and gas produced in the US. Following a recent announcement of the acquisition of a new land position within the Company’s Weber City Prospect (Feb 08, 2010), FormCap Corp now owns 5,800 acres in the renowned Permian Basin where it plans to continue to make on-going acquisitions of new oil and gas leases. Notably, FormCap Corp’s Weber City Prospect in the Permian Basin features four, separate well-established hydrocarbon objectives. See: www.formcapcorp.com
FormCap enters into operations and farm-in agreement: With the intent to rapidly advance its exploration program, FormCap Corp recently announced on February 5th, 2010, that it entered into a Consulting and Option Agreement with Mr. Norman Mackenzie of Calgary, Alberta, Canada, to develop and execute the drilling and development plan for the Company’s Weber City Prospect. Chairman and Founder of C & C Energy Canada Ltd., Mr. Mackenzie has over thirty years experience in the energy industry, and currently manages assets capable of producing over 5,000 BOPD. In 1992, Scimitar Hydrocarbons, a public company founded by Mr. Mackenzie, was merged with Rally Energy Corp., which was subsequently sold for over $900 million in 2003.
FormCap’s Weber City Prospect is estimated to contain potentially over 220 million barrels of oil. Prospect wells are anticipated to flow at initial rates averaging 300 barrels per day, free of formation water. Based on a modeling of a look-alike existing producing field (the Anton Irish field), well recoveries are expected to range from 100,000 to over 500,000 barrels of oil per well. With 40 acre spacing in this prospect, there is room for approximately 100 wells.
The smart money is investing in the Permian basin – Oilmen will tell you that mother nature did everything right to create the major petroleum reserves of the Permian Basin. Events that transpired millions of years ago contributed to the deposition of thick, organically rich source beds and excellent reservoirs for the trapping of oil and gas in the Permian Basin. This is why FormCap is here. This is why Exxon Mobil wants back in.
