See news in PNR. They are aggressively looking to acquire water/valve companies. Maybe bid $0.50/share for UGSI. Also wondering why LAYN has been on fire lately?
Any thoughts on which republican candidate is the best proponent of spending money on water infrastructure?
Please, please get down to $0.04 so I can back up the truck, get equity line of credit, and buy a boatload of stock!
LAYN. check out their quarterly results. Water division on fire! Years ago I thought Layne would buy UGSI. Now, UGSI should buy Layne and spin off their garbage divisions
We all in this together! I ain't going anywhere. We know Andy's going to take care of us. Just wondering when?
I think if investors see the financials, they might realize how stupid they've been buying this stock over the years and probably realize that the stock is worth $0.04 or less...that's why I'm afraid at this point to even look! I'll let others go through that exercise and they can relay the info to this board.
Guarantee. UGSI will NOT go down today. Happy Memorial Day!
For whatever it's worth, I believe #2. At the right point (whenever that might be), UGSI (Andy and Riverwood) will want to reward shareholders, employees, it's loyal institutional shareholders, including Wynnefield Capital (1 person on the board) and of course, Riverwood who probably owns close to 30-40% of the stock (guess) and who has 2 people on the board )I think that's out of 6 total (it's either 5 or 6). They can't do a deal until they get to the right size in revs and they are probably not anywhere close to $100 million, which is where their market cap is. I just hope that someone with big pockets, comes in and offers the board a large price...and they take it...and our pain of waiting for over a decade is done!!
Obamination. Always appreciate your input. I noticed that the letter was very short and it almost seemed like Andy didn't want to even write it. Yes, infrastructure and oil/gas weaknesses are a negative. However, backlog strength can help. Shares outstanding are a real mind blower! That PE firm who now owns a ton of stock, really shafted existing shareholders. They are ones now in charge, not Andy! And sewer dog, I wonder how your Pictet buddies feel--
Question: Since this is such an outstanding company (and stock), why aren't there more followers on this board??
It's the same few losers (including me) that continue to talk about this fabulous company and stock!
Sewer Dog. Agree 100% with you. But it's not because of greed that I have all this stock...it's stupidity!! And I will be stepping up and buying size at around $0.04!
All-time low. Stock headed down to $0.04 or less. Unbelievable! But most of you guys on this board still love Andy!! While we all continue to lose our shirt!!
How 'bout someone saying something intelligent about this stock. Let's get some discussions going here. How 'bout some bets on how long stock will be single digits? My bet would be for remainder of this year.
SewerDog. I just noticed 400 shares sold at $0.082. Are you dumping 1/2 your total position. Come on...you can tell us!
Hey dog. 56 mill shares out of over a 1,000,000,000 shares outstanding does not represent a large shareholder--even if they still own their position, which they probably don't! And what is your relationship with Pictet? Is that your last name? You are always talking about them....everyone on this board could care less about them! They have no say in this company. They have no board representation. What Straightshooter said is correct---because he's a straight shooter and you are a sewer dog!
Straightshooter. Thanks also for the great info. You reiterate what I thought...we (shareholders) took a big hit when Riverwood came on board. That includes Wynnefield Capital and the management and employees of UGSI. My analysis shows that from owning 0% of the company, Riverwood now owns over 40% of the company. This is unbelievable that one company can come on board and destroy the equity of existing shareholders. With that said, these PE guys (2 on the board), have a great track record. But remember, most PE firms have a 5-7 year investment horizon. Is everyone on this board patient like them? They get paid for waiting--not us!!
Don't think anywhere close. With the dilution from Riverwood deal, I would guess we own collectively less than one-half of a percent. By the way, does anyone know what the total outstanding shares are. It's confusing to me based on the Riverwood deal, but I would guess there is now over a billion shares outstanding. Andy and its board have given away the company, where we are now just meaningless nothings.
Revolt!!...Vote Rand Paul for change!
Appreciate your comments. The 2 ways to communicate to a company are (1) the annual vote, which we have not been given and (2), the stock price itself communicates to the mgmt/board...and we know where that is!
Letter for quarter...any idea when?Another heavy volume day of action. What a fabulous stock!
Mark smith and gsph are pure dirt/scum!
Pipeliner3--100% in agreement...how nice it would be to have an analyst write a piece on this company. But one needs access to the financials and, only a few have access to the numbers.
Andy Seidal is no Mark Smith, founder, who was a circus performer who put out company news releases that pumped the stock artificially. Andy wants a clean company and I'm sure financials will be released at the time the company decides to go public. The real question is when that might be?
The biggest problem we have with this board is we don't have enough interested parties. The same old foggies are always on it. How do we get the word on UGSI out there? More people on this board, more likely stock would trade up because of the limited amount of stock out there.
In order to answer most of your questions, one needs to know the following: current shares outstanding? What % of stock is held by Riverwood Capital? Remember, Riverwood probably diluted our worth when they got involved, but I don't know by how much. And they now have 2 board members. What % of stock is owned by insiders? Management? Behind the scenes? Only the board would know! No one will ever be able to get $30 million worth of stock. How is that going to happen at this point. With that said, these are all good questions, Obamination!
I've owned the stock for over 10-years and have no plan to sell at this point. Waiting to buy much more around $0.04 or so. Andy has had 10 years to get it together. Stock close to an all-time low. Just accept the facts!
"Andy is a smart guy". A lot of people have said this. I never met the man. I'm sure Andy is taking good care of himself. He HAS NOT taken care of his shareholders. FACT!
I will add at $0.04, which is the price a large piece was sold recently. Be patient--it will be there soon!
Any thoughts on the action today?
The only way this stock moves is to get more people on this board...pump it up!! What about that water crisis in CA? UGSI is headquartered there. Shouldn't they be rock in' and rollin on this crisis? Talk to me people. And spread the word...this could be a $100 stock!!!
Empty bones: Spread the word that this is an $0.80 stock in a year. And remember to listen to the Everly Brothers song, "dream...dream, dream, dream...dream". And buy lottery tickets, because there is probably a better chance to make money this way, than to own UGSI. The most frustrating investment of my life. Very heavy losses (on paper)!
Haha pipeliner. It would take 3 months to buy 2,000,000 shares, and you'd have to trade up to possibly $0.15 or more, I would guess!
Sewer dog -- I noticed 200 shares traded so far today. Is that you stepping up your aggressive buying??
Sit sewer dog, stay! Why don't YOU do some due diligence and verify my info on your own. You should be thanking me, not criticizing me. I know it's tough watching your (our) large investment go down in value everyday. Just live with it, or sell your position and get on with something else!
Pictet no longer a shareholder. FACT!
2020 is as long as I want to be involved...not 1 day after Dec 31, 2019! Get ready to see large blocks of stock dumped on this date. I plan on retiring at this time, so I will be out of any risky investments. (Of course, the world could be over before then??)!!
I'm in the same shape, but as we both know, this company has come a long way. When it finally "blows", it will be unbelievable eruption!! And we long-timers know!
Right on pipeliner! We've been betting on Andy and his previous success with US Water Filter. No numbers, which make us stupid investors. With the recent acquisitions along with Riverfront's investment and 2 board seats, I'm thinking 5-7 years from now (the average time that PE firms invest), there will be some sort of IPO or sale of the company.
Cat got everyone's tongue? Let's get some action on this board. Come on UGSI insiders...tell us what the game plan is here! HELP!!
When there is stock market turmoil, stick to quality--UGSI! Stock is Unchanged, while Nasdaq is down 2.4%, S&P is down 1.5%. - stick to quality!!
Sewer dog - I love you, man! My Vegas offer still stands. Can't remember exactly what it was, but we are all headed to Vegas once this stock does something positive...like go up!
