"Raw Nature", a heart-pounding five-part series, presents a striking new entertainment perspective on animal adventures with non-experts is coming to DVD on March 31, 2009 from Genius Products and Animal Planet.
Follow filmmakers Matt Renner, Mitch Tanen, Gianny Truttman and Anneli Gericke as they travel across the world to document first-hand accounts of dedicated wildlife professionals working to help animals survive human encroachment. Used to filming the action - not being part of it - the producers are caught off guard with their too-close-for-comfort encounters with some of the planet's deadliest creatures, including Komodo dragons, white rhinos and giant anacondas. With conservation as its focus, this series offers an unprecedented look at the intersection between human nature and animal instinct and is a serious reminder that the world needs balance to ensure its own survival.

I was long gone before the drop back to .003
"There are lots of better plays out there than this one"
You got that right! ;oD-
Patience is a virtue. I believe it will go lower if not in the near future, it will go lower after a possible reverse split.
Turn the chart around, .000 land more like it!
The filing you are referring to is for the period before the decision to switch from Chapter 11 to Chapter 7. There are no filings yet, but sure as water flows downhill, a filing will come detailing the chapter 7. Circuit City's in a Chapter 7 bankruptcy. Circuit City was forced into liquidating because it couldn’t find bankruptcy financing.
It seems that way especially when nobody speaks english!
You never know, I might dive back in @ some point, actually I broke even. Dont worry, I will remain on the sidelines for awhile. ;oD
Blu-ray Surpasses Digital Dollars
The transition from packaged media to digital distribution for movies and TV shows may farther away than many think.
Sales of Blu-ray titles are projected to increase 150% to $2.9 billion this year from $1.1 billion in 2008, according to research firm Media Control GfK International. That’s nearly twice the $1.5 billion generated by digital last year, which included VOD and broadband.
Digital distribution is expected to top $3.5 billion and represent 15% of the home entertainment pie by 2013.
Michael Paxton, analyst with In-Stat in Scottsdale, Ariz., said wider proliferation of movie streaming and downloading is hamstrung by broadband limitations in households.
“The bandwidth required to stream any type of HD video is way beyond what most households have,” Paxton said.
He said the scuttlebutt for years suggested downloads and streaming would replace packaged media.
“The convenience factor is still not there for streaming media, unless you are watching on a laptop and it is the only option you have,” Paxton said. “The packaged media business model is one that the consumer is very comfortable with.”
That said, Paxton doubts Blu-ray will replace standard DVD, but he also doesn’t believe it would suffer the fate of laserdisc.
Blu-ray is projected to reach 11% of packaged-media penetration by the end of the year, up from 4% in 2008, according the Media Control.
Other analysts (and digital proponents) questioned Blu-ray’s perceived strength, while others said the format’s premium pricing inflated revenues.
“They have to be leaving out the cable and satellite industries to get to that kind of conclusion,” said independent analyst Rob Enderle. “We are likely to see a number of reports like this as the Blu-ray marketing organization works to counter the perception that BD simply ramped too late and still hasn’t hit critical price points.”
Phil Leigh, analyst with Inside Digital media in Tampa, Fla., said the BD revenue projections are misleading because the format currently generates a premium on a per unit basis, compared to standard DVD and digital.
“I’m not sure I believe the revenue forecast,” he said.
Richard Doherty, director of The Envisioneering Group in Seaford, N.Y., said the concerns were moot since BD prices continue to fall as streaming costs rise.
He said streaming costs facing Netflix, Hulu, Blockbuster or CinemaNow are rising exponentially and ultimately have to be underwritten by the end user, which they currently aren’t.
“It’s costing Netflix and other Internet providers ‘tens of cents’ to watch any given movie,” Doherty said. “You watch 90 movies in a month and [they’re not] making any money.”
Reed Hastings, co-founder and CEO of Netflix, said the combination of partnering with consumer electronics manufacturers and reduced disc usage by subscribers would help stymie escalating streaming costs.
Netflix spent more than $11 million on streamed content and catalog acquisitions in the fourth quarter ended Dec. 31, according to a regulatory filing.
“We should be able to keep increasing our content investment while at the same time growing earnings,” Hastings told investors.
Doherty said the current economic recession put expansion plans for the Internet, which included broadband proliferation, on hold. At the same time, demand for streaming has risen leading some cable operators such as Verizon, Comcast and AT&T to consider capping or placing a monthly surcharge on consumers.
“Streaming is going to get costlier and less compelling experience to a lot of people,” Doherty said.
He said President Obama pledged making broadband access in U.S. homes a more economical option, from $15 to $20 per month, compared to about $35 per month, currently. Households that are used to streaming and downloading a lot of content may see their monthly bill increasing to $45 or $55 per month.
“The accelerant to what happens next is predicated by where the President’s stimulus dollars go in the next 90 days to nine months,” Doherty said.
Indeed, Obama created a mild panic in the Silicon Valley last weekend during his first weekly radio address, when he failed to mention a $6 billion stimulus campaign promise earmarked for broadband expansion.
Om Malik, founder of the GigaOm blog network, told Yahoo! Finance that technophiles shouldn’t jump to conclusions about the omission. At the same time, he said he hoped the funds — part of Obama’s proposed American Recovery and Reinvestment Bill — don’t just fall into the hands of Comcast, AT&T and others.
“Instead, the stimulus money should go to smaller companies in areas where there is a broadband problem,” Malik said. “Push to separate services from the pipes and increasing competition in a true capitalistic fashion.”
While broadband proponents wrestle for funds, Blu-ray disc prices continue to fall.
BD pricing dropped 14% in 2008 to an average retail price of $28.93, which still represented a $13.19 premium on standard DVDs, according to Media Control.
Indeed, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment, in a weekly newspaper circular, offered instant $3 discounts on 15 titles, including Pineapple Express, Hancock, Underworld: Evolution, Step Brothers and Nick & Norah’s Infinite Playlist, the latter of which streets Feb. 3.
Analyst Doherty said Blu-ray would become even more affordable after Sony’s recent announcement it would build a disc replication facility in China. He said movies should cost less to replicate and package, which would translate into more attractive new and catalog release prices.
“[Catalog is] what really saved DVD over the past 10 years,” Doherty said.

GLTY. For everyones sake, I hope Mr. Messalas breaks his silence, then you will see .30. If not we will see .003
Nice try but no cigar my friend ;oD
"for period ending 1/16/09" (before the Chapter 7 conversion.)
I agree, since Mr. Messalas has not informed us of his dealings, we can only speculate as to his intentions.
Is it me, or does it seem like every few days we hear of ponzi scheme fugitives or financial criminals fleeing to Florida to evade capture.
FWIW I sold my position with CTNO and have been out some time now.
I see more transparency with much less risk and greater opportunity elsewhere.
They converted from Chapter 11 to Chapter 7.

Even with the toxic assets off the table, the global economic slowdown will hurt GE. My price target still stands @ ~ $8.00 for GE IMHO.
When CC was in chapter 11, shareholders had a chance, now that CC is in Chapter 7 liquidation mode, shareholders are $unk, IMHO.
Stay away from Sharebuilder (large order surcharges)
I like Ameritrade.
IMHO GE is saving face by not reducing dividend. Sell.
The Oscar Nominations: Harvey Weinstein Beats Batman!
There was some worry among serious-minded awards watchers this season that the Academy might cede one of its five Best Picture slots to a box-office hit in the name of ratings. And with The Dark Knight earning recognition from three important guilds in recent weeks, it was looking increasingly likely that Batman would need to rent a tux for Oscar night. But those fears were evidently unfounded — voters went with the Holocaust movie! The Weinstein Company's The Reader scored five nominations this morning, including a nod in the top category, along with ones for Best Director (for Vulture buddy Stephen Daldry) and Best Actress (Kate Winslet, beating herself out for her performance in Revolutionary Road). So even though Benjamin Button heard its name called thirteen times today, was the frequently embattled Harvey Weinstein today's biggest surprise winner? We think so!
Given The Reader's mixed reviews and hilarious history, which included a war with Scott Rudin and a lost million-dollar bet with Nikki Finke, many had counted it out of Oscar's top categories this year, even after it racked up an impressive number of Golden Globe nominations a month ago. But even if Weinstein himself is a little surprised by this morning's developments, we bet he'd never admit it. As he told us in December: "I was never in doubt, because I knew the movie was strong, and I knew that it was just a bunch of silly bloggers looking to make a story out of nothing." And so it was. Congratulations, Harvey!
That Weinstein is a clever fella. He manages to get Winslet nominated as a lead for The Reader at the expense of her performance in Revolutionary Road, thereby screwing over Scott Rudin as well as assuring that Penelope Cruz has no major competition in the supporting category. Well played, sir.

Episode Synopses:
Angolan Rescue Part 1 – Episode One
The clock is ticking. Caged in an abandoned warehouse in Luanda, Angola, Josephine lives under a death sentence. If Eugene can’t get her out by the end of the month, her owner will put her down. Eugene travels to Angola to save Josephine. While waiting for final permission to take her out of the country, Eugene goes undercover to search for other chimps. He finds two chimps kept in the worst conditions Eugene has ever seen. The chimps are abused and hungry, and they mistrust humans. The youngest appears blind in one eye and has had his teeth pulled because he was biting tourists. He needs medical attention. Eugene plans for their rescue on the fly, scrambling to organize their ESCAPE TO CHIMP EDEN.
Angolan Rescue Part 2 – Episode Two
The rescue of Josephine has gone well, but Eugene is now faced with a much more daunting task – rescuing two chimps from a foreign country. Eugene is told by the local authorities that he can try and confiscate the chimps. But how is he going to do it with no legitimate authority and limited resources all before his time runs out and he’s forced to get Josephine out of Angola?
Jao – Episode Three
As the beta male of the infant enclosure, Eugene must ask permission from Jao, the alpha male, to enter and work with the younger chimps. But when Eugene must fend off Jao with pepper spray, Eugene’s access to the chimps is threatened.
Xena – Episode Four
She may be the smallest chimp, but Xena is a very feisty infant. She stirs up trouble for Eugene and the rest of the group. But, when Eugene puts her in her place, Xena protests by escaping the enclosure. She soon realizes that she has reached the edge of the adult enclosure, and if she falls in, the situation would be very dire.
Angolan Girls – Episode Five
Rescued from a decade spent in tiny cages in Angola, Mimi, Lika and Gida are about to taste freedom for the first time. And, Eugene soon enjoys the fruits of his efforts as the girls will have open spaces, sunshine and trees to climb. But, his girls must share the space with three tough males who have never met a female before. It’s likely to be a tough introduction, and there’s hardly anything Eugene can do to protect them.
The Three Amigos – Episode Six
Nicky is from Liberia, and Abu and Amadeus hail from from Angola, yet they ended up together in the Johannesburg Zoo in the early 90’s. Fifteen years later, all three are living at Chimp Eden. But all is not well in the enclosure. Abu and Amadeus have formed an alliance, taking turns as the bullies of the enclosure. Nicky, the more unassuming and sensitive one, is not taking his isolation sitting down. He’s using his superior intelligence to impress the girls with his tool-making abilities. He’s wooing the girls right under the nose of the larger males. Abu and Amadeus are catching on to Nicky’s game. As Nicky continues his exploits, is it possible that he pushes luck too far?
Bonobos: Zac Part 1 – Episode Seven
Zac and Ginga were rescued with the three others Angolan chimps five months ago. But, there’s something different about these two. Eugene thinks they’re not chimps at all but a subspecies called Bonobos. If they are Bonobos, Eugene finds himself between a rock and a hard place. Bonobos are not covered under the sanctuary’s charter and will have to be sent away. Yet, Eugene promised the Angolan government these chimps would remain at Chimp Eden. Blood tests prove they are, in fact, chimps, but now Eugene must determine into which enclosure these two chimps will go. Zac, the timid one, is placed in the infant enclosure. He begins to find his confidence with the infants and starts upsetting the long-standing hierarchy. Ginga, on the other hand, is tough as nails and is placed in with the larger, scarier adults. Ginga quickly finds herself atop the female pecking order. But, what happens to Ginga when she faces off against the males?
Bonobos: Ginga Part 2 – Episode Eight
The abuse Ginga received at the hands of the adult males forces her to make a run for it. She was somehow able to scale a wall, pass through the electrified fence and get away. Eugene confronts her, trying to coax her back into the enclosure. Miraculously, Ginga follows Eugene back to the enclosure she and Zac shared before their release. She knows it as a safe place. But, Ginga cannot remain alone. Eugene reintroduces her with the adults. Another beating ensues and, again, Ginga escapes! Eugene leads her back into her old enclosure. Now, Eugene faces the tough decision: Does he try again or accept the fact that Ginga never may be integrated into the group?
Sudan Rescue – Episode Nine
Eugene travels to Sudan to rescue five infant chimps, fulfilling the fundamental mission of Chimp Eden—saving chimps. When Eugene gets there, he finds seven baby chimps, but he only has five permits. He’s torn as he decides which to leave behind. Can he risk bringing the one seriously ill baby back to the sanctuary, or does he leave him in Sudan likely to die? And it’s here in Sudan that Eugene faces for the first time the horrors of the bushmeat trade.
Sudan Babies Rescue – Episode Ten
What happens when you release five infant chimps into an organized, established enclosure? The Sudan babies have been waiting five months for their turn to be released from their caged housing. Now, with the chimp family settled in after Zac’s introduction, Eugene will have to deal with five more infants integrated with Xena, Cozi, Zac and the rest of the infant enclosure.
Gadgets – Episode Eleven
How do you teach a chimp to forage for water? At the heart Chimp Eden’s mission is giving the chimps the tools they’ll need to survive in the wild. Chimps normally learn from their parents to fish for termites with a stick and use moss as a sponge to gather water. But, these chimps were rescued from captivity and never learned these vital life lessons. Eugene creates gadgets to teach his chimps these tricks of the trade. He fashions a contraption from a huge stump that will only grant the chimps access to water if they learn to use bread as a sponge. Eugene also builds a feeder with honey hidden inside tiny holes. The chimps can only get to sweet center by using a twig. Eugene quickly realizes that building these contraptions is one thing; getting the chimps to use them is an entirely different matter.
Cozi and the Kids – Episode Twelve
Cozi is one of the original four on the infant enclosure. Now, with the introduction of Zac and the five Sudanese chimps, he’s part of a mob—a group of chimps each vying for position. At first, the youngsters harass Cozi, driving him to distraction. He’s falling lower and lower in the pecking order, all under the reign of “King” Jao. However, the normally docile Jao is becoming more and more aggravated, lashing out at the relentless distractions of the youngsters. Eugene tries to maintain some sense of order, but it’s too much for him to manage on his own. And now, Cozi comes to the rescue, acting as the peacemaker between the generations and forming alliances with many of his family members.
Sally and the Future – Episode Thirteen
Sally is the chimp that changed Eugene’s life. When he saw the infant Sally held captive in Angola, he set out to free her along with as many other chimps as he could. According to Eugene, Sally symbolizes Chimp Eden’s grand vision. He wants to build the perfect chimp family around Sally so she and the others can one day return to the wild. But, Sally’s not helping the cause. She refuses to come down from her private perch high atop her tree. Eugene and Philip are concerned she’s not integrating with the newcomers Zac and the Sudanese infants – something she must do if she’s to make the journey back one day. Can Eugene use his special connection with Sally to bring her back to the family and maintain the dream that she’ll return to the wild?

.25 target? What are you talking about, my target on this is $'s! ;oD
Firedog is the only gold I see in a chest of lead.
My guess is Walmart, Radioshack and Target are potential suitors. Staples already has Easytech, so they are probably not interested in Firedog IMHO. What are your thoughts guys?
It would be interesting if Walmart ends up buying Firedog.
Just a guess, but maybe Wilmington does not have reach in Florida, whereas Brookstone does. Like I said earlier UEEC and Therabiogen are in Florida. This is why all of the recent actiivity for Chris & Friends in Florida. Oh, and there is an Olive Garden in Lakeland too! ;oD
Thanks for the clarification!
You and me both bro! If Vince can pull it off, I will jump back in YBTVA with both feet!
Missing the interest payment is just not a good thing IMHO.
Is bankruptcy in the works? GLTYA
WOW thats a great score!
We must own most of the OS, shares are tight! Something is happening behind the scenes IMHO. I still can't believe we are trading under .01
It is -10 outside the Fredman mansion. It is 70 - 80 in Florida, a no brainer to me ;oD
No, the broker check report indeed lists the corporate headquarters of Brookstone in NY, but for Mr. Wardi and Mr. Messalas, under the employment section of the FINRA report it specifically lists they work for the Lakeland Florida branch of Brookstone.
Accroding to the Finra brokercheck for Mr. Wardi, he (and Chris) is indeed employed with Brookstone and both work out of the Lakeland, Florida office. Look at Florida, Brookstone, Therabiogen, UEEC....
