Understand and hear ya. That's why I mentioned the "tons of filtering". GLTY.
For three simple reasons...
1) We have lives (and jobs)
2) Believe in the company long term
3) Sleep like a baby
Wow, you're out of line unless you are depending on a higher price so you can sell and make your mortgage payment (hope not). Take a chill, this is an OTCBB stock and it comes with the territory. Everyone has said, be patient. Things will keep getting better and better with a few hiccups every now and then. Everything is right in front of you to know this is a solid company and good investment. The stock is just broke and it will one day fix itself with all that's going on. Go do something worth while instead of following this board and/or stock every minute. From the fustration I'm reading, I'm sure your body and mind will thank you for it.

BBall,
Not meaning to interrupt, but you are in a boat that many of us are in. The definition of "Long" certainly varies on this board. My interpretation from monitoring the post since May is that a "long" is a shareholder who initially got in at price less than .02 which could mean they've stuck it out anywhere from 3 months to a year or more, and really, more power to them. I would have MovedOn. I got in in May and have bought shares at .03, .06, .11, .14, .19, .22 and .24. My only saving grace is that my majority of purchases wre at the lower levels so I'm too averaging about where you are. I consider myself lucky to have found SPNG at a good time, but I've also paid with some stress of seeing all my positive paper earnings go away...in one freaking day. i have yet to of sold a single share and I've hung on becasue of what i believe in this company from my own DD and this board (after tons of filtering). Hang in there, this will just get better from here out for us "semi-longs".
TAZ
Agree and look forward to the workings of this company and management team everyday. I just don't see any company going from $.006 to $4.000 any time soon much less in a years time, but then again this is SPNG. I'm very optimistic, but some times I just get a little yerked with way too much over optimism on this board. We will see ups and downs like in the recent past, but the baseline will continue to build and rise, just not as fast as people think IMO.
All good stuff!
GLTY
Right on the money FB. So many posters are micromanaging this whole SPNG experience. Most of them can't take their eye off the pps with every minute that goes by. The emotion that this board has is astronomical...way beyond the norm for trading stocks. It might as well be a facebook or a twitter more than a forum for formal company, stock and trade discussions. I spend so much time filtering through the everyday BS and find a gold nugget every now and then and I guess that's what keeps me coming back. Also the fact that Soappy has done an awsome job with the ibox.
Good things come to those who can wait. Go SPNG!
TAZ
Great reply too, very tangible explanation. I'm sure a lot of other posters got something out of this question and answer exchange. Big week next week.
Thank you HG!
TAZ
Help me out here HG,
"now, if this company PROVES that they have only sold 10... the guys that sold the other 20 need to immediately BUY those shares from you so that they are not exposed as the ones that sold them when they really shouldn't have."
what if the "guys" don't by back? Does this then become a criminal ordeal and "guys" can be, or better yet, will be prosecuted?
Everyone is talking about "them" having to buy them back, what if they don't and qwho exactly are these "guys" or "them"... individuals, brokerage firms, independent financial firms?
Appreciate the help.
TAZ
Hey Mack, you too?
I found SPNG on another board back in early May when I was trying to see what the latest was on a fraudster/criminal named Petar Vucicevich who scammed me and others 3.5 years ago under Sulja Brothers Building Company (SLJB). I think he's finally in jail. It was a learning experience none-the less and I pretty much stayed away from OTC's and OTCBB's for years until Spongee came along in that post (wish I had saved it). Right away my curiosity was peaked and I had to learn more.
Eventually my learning turned into buying and I got in at .03 then more at .06, then more at .09 and so on all the way up to .19 and then the fall came. Stuck to my guns because I believe in this company; never have sold a single share and I'm sitting tight with bucu shares at an average price slightly under .10, so side winding these past 2 months at .13-.15 give or take is fine with me especially knowing what's on the horizon. Thanks for bringing back a good memory
GLTY.
TAZ
Wow GG, you certainly put yourself out there today on this one. Pretty ballzzzy. Live and die by the sword is what I always live by I'm sure all us longs are hoping you live. Not sure why you'd test your credibility, but here you go. GLTY and GLTA.
TAZ
I have been following you and others on the board since early May. I rarely post because all I find myself doing is filtering and weeding out the good from the bad, the ligit from the false and the emotion from the facts. Taking with me what I feel is good info (5%, if that). I still disagree with you and we can (or I can) agree to disagree. I do respect your upbeat outlook though because that's at least one thing we have in common. I have to, lots invested here.
TAZ
Come On GG, you really think SPNG moves with the rest of the ligit financial markets? Please! We (all us longs) should just be glad it's been sidewinding the last 2 months as opposed to tanking which means good things are on the way because management is keeping it afloat with their buy-back initiative IMO. Mr. Stox so elequntly puts a positive spin on the stock and comapany and it actually helps me personally remain a believer and thus a long. I sure hope he is right and the "plan" unfolds here shortly and comes before the 10K, but my confidence in that happening is very low. Just banking on the 10K for now.
I guess it just yerks my chain when people talk about SPNG and how it relates it to the NYSE or NASDAQ. Get a clue is all I'm asking.
TAZ
Mrs. Coffee02,
Your message is clear and concise and if it weren't for emotions, it would be clear and concise to the investor such as myself, but it really isn't that clear cut and dry. I believe in SPNG like you do and I find it unremarkable that people are selling prior to the 10K unless they know something we don't. I continue to read subjective posts and try and find reasons why the pps is what it is, or behaves as it has behaved. My thoughts...
1) Trust in management is not there.
2) Flippers are that good (doubdtful).
3) Many fortunate investors that got in heavily at sub 1 or 2 pennies and are cashing in slowly making buku bucks.
4) Being OTCBB...fraud, NSS, MM influence, etc....
The way things have been going, I actually think the 10K could affect the PPS negatively, but I'm a believer in SPNG like you
and will at least see what reveals itself. I'm up already, but not by a lot and I have a sizeable amount of shares.
Pretty frustrating at times, but I'm going to leave my "all-in" status until the dealer reveals the last card of this fiscal hand.
TAZ
Nadar,
How about addressing the "I don't like". there are always 2 sides to everything even if you're heavily loaded on the one side which is obvious for you.
I certainly have a few and wonder if they're in line with yours and others. For instance:
I don't like SPNG's silence on Walmart play.
I don't like the silence on the uplist potential.
I don't like SPNG's possible NSS position.
I don't like the fact that good PRs brings PPS down.
TAZ
Two peas in a pod that is ready to be dropped from the SPNG plant.
I did and it was pretty cool to see the Spongetech logo front and off to the left (as opposed to front and center). Too bad about the TE who popped his achilies (sp?). I was actually amazed to see it so prominently disaplayed. Certainly people will be asking...who is Spongetech?
TAZ
HelpMe, I disagree on both accounts. This stock does not trade with the standard financial markets; it stands on it's own (at least in this stage of the game). Anyway, some big news just came out too. Good luck to you and this just keeps getting more exciting.
TAZ
HelpMe, I think you're hoping it's going to be a red day since you claimed yesterday that you sold some stock and took profits...well good for you. BUT IMO this stock is going to continue to creep up barring any major news.
TAZ
Guys, it's all about the convenience...no separate soap, no bucket required, just a spong and hose. I tried it on my cars and it was satisafactory. Didn't get as much suds as the commercial shows and implies, but it did an overall good job. I was pleased, but certainly not elated. Whether it has a higher value over the traditional liquid soap and sponge is personal preference. It's certainly not a dud as the Philly news anchor confirmed.
Have a good positive day in every aspect.
SPNG believer and inverstor.
TAZ
Indeed, when they start trying to publicly discern orders vs. sales being a huge discrepency, they are really hurting. Yes they are different and they depend on the T&Cs SPNG have with their clients, but orders(bookings) placed today means revenue(sales) some X days later...usually no more then 30 days to go from an order to a sale.
They are really reaching. I wish they would just put their tale between their legs and leave this board. Easy to do since we can't face them. They'de be better off too to do it now since SPNG's progress/growth continues with each and every day.
TAZ
Holy Cow! What's your definition of "Long"? It certainly is not mine or the majority of longs on this board with that comment.
TAZ
Wow, 250K at .144 = $36,000 you invested in SPNG today. I know it's all relative, but to me that's a lot of money to sink into a penny stock in a day, especially with all the volatility going on with this one. I say you got guts, but I'm sure it's not guts you rely on when it comes to your investment decisions. You are evidently confident and a believer in Spongetech. I am too, but I have my $36K's in an Apple, a Chevron, and the Morgan Stanely's, and something less than that in SPNG. Just lucky enough that I got in early enough to get a lot of shares at a low price. In it for the long haul and maybe my rainy day may be my breakout day.
I'm interested in any comments you may have.
TAZ
Holy Cow Everyone! If you can't stand the heat, leave the F'n kitchen. Stop micromanaging your position....unless you're a day trader. Fundamnetals stronger than ever. This stock is still volatile and will be for a little longer, nothing new here. Go watch some fricking TV and come back tomorrow or the next day.
TAZ
I love all this back and forth "stuff". It makes for great entertainment. I really do read a lot of it....when I'm bored. I rather read the posts that concern themselves with PR's and SEC filings and the take each individual has on them.
The bottom line is that....
The stock market is the legal man's way of gambling. Playing the legit (NYSE, NASDAQ) market is like Texas hold em. You have some accurate info (proof if you will) in front of you (your cards and the shared/dealers cards) and you have some info from others...their faces, their playing style, their credibility, their techniques....which is based on your perception of them. Then you take these two pieces of info and plan a strategy....either, raise, call or fold.
Playing penny stocks is like Blackjack. You have the ups and downs and their is no guaranteed hand. No faces to read, just one piece of info from the dealers one card that's showing. If you've played BJ enough, you know what it's liked to get screwed when the dealer's on a roll....and they always get on a roll, it's just when and hopefully you know when to see one and leave.
Why all this???? SPNG is a Texas Hold-em play. I'm having a lot of fun and been making raises for the last 3 months now. I have a good read on this company as do many others. Again, with reading the posts that make sense. I think a lot of the naysayers are playing some other game...it just too bad they have to be at the same table as ours.
TAZ
Do you find that surprising? I don't...kind of like the Dicon announcement when pps went down. I'm not saying it's "fluff" in the least as the "others" have, but the bite is in the teeth and without transparency there is no teeth. However, I believe that's the plan and one day, or many days (assume the day the 10K is released is an example of the day) the "sleeper will awaken"...name the movie.
Have to just sit and suck on this for a while and if you have some extra $, buy some more. Things will get better and the broken stock will be fixed hopefully sooner than later, but this kind of evolution takes time. Too many stressed out and near sited people watching every little tick up or down. Some people need to get a life....especially the bashers.
TAZ
Wow. I'm a beliver in SPNG and a Long holder of its shares and that's a real dumb idea. I hope you are kidding. I'd leave your 401K well enough alone. Investing in one stock alone is also dumb idea.
Wake up please or stop with these outrageous comments.
TAZ
Sorry HF, I wish it was that easy of an excuse.
This stock does not follow the market; it's not only in pennyland, but SPNG is in it's own little world right now with all the attention it's getting on and off this board and with all the media hype and press releases.
Very little transperency for such a hot company right now which makes the pendulum swing heavy both ways irrespective of the general markets.
TAZ
This stock behaves outside the normal market trends.....it's a penny stock for goodness sake. It has it own world that it trades in and for the most part, it's a manipulated one.
Hang in there, the stock price is broken, it will correct itself if you have the pateince.
TAZ
Did a little of my own personal DD and had my 7 and 5.5 year old try the SpongeBob bath sponge which just arrived. I ordered it via the website and got it in 5 business days. It was too funny, they kept looking at me funny because I just was staring at them intently in the bathroom watching their faces and listening to what they had to say about the sponges. Well long story short, they liked them a lot. The next step is to see how long they last.
I've held SPNG since 5/15/09 and have only bought more through the good and bad times since. Have not sold a single share because the "few" (10% at best) people on this board really do their homework and keep the BS out and point me in right directions; I like to follow their reasoning. Plus I read the SEC filings myself and believe what they say and what I see on TV. I've been a believer since I got in, but it's been hard at times, I seem to have been able to filter out the bashers and the clueless and that's why I'm ahead in this endeavor and in for the long haul.
I follow this board here and there, but rarely post. Too much drama for me, just looking for the facts and insight I can work with and a few of you do just that...and thank you!
You can not expect management to address the shareholders if something is going down and if I were to speculate, something is "going down" (that is....something big is going to happen), it will be a positive event and not a negative one.
Looking forward to the comeback.
TAZ
Geez, this board has become utterly useless with all the BS on "NSS" and the stock is going to "POP". What a waste of time and it's now turned into a bunch of 12 year old tit for tats and no more intellectual conversation...and yes there was some a few weeks ago.
Now you can see why I move on. Holy Cow people! Playing stocks is gambling, simple as that except I have fun with the people sitting next to me at the Black Jack table. This board and you people are no fun.
Everyone go get a life now and grow up.
Taz.
Hello fellow SPNG'rs,
This my first post on this discussion board. I stumbled onto SPNG in the middel of May and decided it was a penny stock that had potential. I've actually been following the emotion, the characters, and the relavent information being provided and discussed on theis board. I have found it amusing, educational and more the exception than the rule, benefial for my investment. After yesterdays ride and reading the reaction, I felt compelled to post.
What I feel most people who post on this board fail to understand or comprehend is that investing in stocks is another form of gambling. There is money, entertainment, risk, reward and excitiment....everything that goes with black jack or Texas Hold'm. The difference being is that people like us can get way over their head in stocks, especially if one is in a get rich quick state of mind and that's what drives people to penny stocks. The monetary piece is disguised because you don't actually play with actual money ($ bills), just like chips in a casino. It's a numbers deal. The percieved value of what you're "playing" with is lessened...by design.
In light of yesterdays wild ride, I want to comment on a few things.... This is still a penny stock with huge volume and low PPS and market cap as compared to your traditional NYSE types of stock....less regulation, high volatility, less transparency. I invest in large caps for long term and dabble in pennies for a long haul as well where I see a uniqueness in it such as SPNG. I've certainly been burned before with "LFWK (Loftworks)" (2006) which morphed into Sulja building and the huge deals in Saudia Arabia...blah, blah, blah..they took my money hook, line and sinker. I got to despise a one Petar V, so I've been there and learned is all I'm saying. The key is that I dabbled and lost. I rely on stock investments in mid and large caps like GE (huge market cap), RIMM (tech), DNR (oil and gas) and others. These too have had their ups and downs, but I can sleep at night and not have to pull out the Cognac to quell my fears.
If you are betting the farm on SPNG, it's a huge gamble, but it's your own personal choice. But if it's everyday twist and turn has your eyeballs poping out in front of the screen for better or worse, it's no way to live your life....my opinion, you're missing out and people around and close to you are missing out as well and some even hurt.
Personally, as if I haven't been already, SPNG is a penny stock I'm dabbling in it because unlike others, it has tangible assets (I can touch them), they are advertising, and when the Pres and CFO get in front of an investment crowd to share their products, successes and potential growth, they are making themselves accountable in the public investment world; this is a huge sign they're making every attempt to be a profitable and reputible comapny. If you haven't seen the video, I highly recommend it.
One last comment to those who have attitudes toward their on-line broker such as Scottrade or TDAmeritrade....just suck it up. As an on-line trader via these on-line brokers, we are low on the totem pole. So when volumes get high and fast, those closer to the game go first. It's certainly not about you during these fast times which we saw early afternoon, so just accept it and strategize your trades to account for it. I took a licking yesterday too because I'm long, instead of panicking, I bought more at .22 .19 and .12. I slept well because I still have GE, DNR RIMM and others. I will remain long with SPNG and will ride the rollercoaster; the speed of the ride will be the same, it's just the peeks and valleys will both rise with this comapany which is where you want to be.
Thank you for reading.
