it will soon be 6am on the 28th in tasmania so a good time to have a pr would be this afternoon here in the states on the 27th of course.
if not today, hopefully this week, the time has come and is long overdue.
good luck to all and to all on this board.
i agree. time to drill. i called the office of gslm on the 25th, and no answer. not surprised with the aussie day. now it is the 27th.
mebbe tomorrow we hear.
let's see.
it is now almost 7am in tas. on the 27th of jan. is the "aussie" day on the 26th??
at any rate, hope things start "cooking" soon; i should say, drilling.
yes, i hope that this is the week they drill.
i am at a relative's house and cannot open the abc interview that you posted(computer glitch). is this current or from two yrs. ago??
i have confidence that there will be a discovery at the bellevue well of some kind. they have to just start drilling and i believe they will soon because the rig is there and ready to go. just a matter of putting together the money and hopefully soon.
here's hoping that they will drill this week: it is now monday in tasmania.
i agree. thanks to all on this board and especially howard h.
hopefully, the drill turns next week or soon at any rate!!
here's wishing all of us shareholders the best return on our investment!!
thanks to all on this board, and the info given. much appreciated.
changed my mind.
have time for one more post. any news from tas or just the same old nothing going on?
won't be looking at this board until saturday. any info you can supply i will read about it then.
thanks howard and to all on this board and all shareholders-let's hope for the best!!
you're right. my granmother's swedish meatballs were the greatest, and the rice pudding and the lefsa and other stuff but the lutefisk(cod treated with lye) was not fit to feed to my worst enemy and one of my uncles said anyone who ate lutefisk would steal sheep too.(apparently he did not like mutton either-and i guess lamb smells unless cooked right)
any info you can relate about the drilling or do you wish to withold comment for now?
howard, you give us hope, please supply info when you have it. thanks a million, or tux a mica in swedish(spelling not correct, my family is from near stockholm but i don't know any svedish).
i always appreciate your posts. i do hope our frustration is indeed over. swede
could be. drilling should start soon or the money spent on the rig just setting there is such a waste and should be used for drilling.
had to laugh a little at your post, howard. needed a chuckle. been totally exasperated with empire and the lack of communication and when garrison in kansas said he is frustrated that is frustrating(oh i said that)
"drilling should start next week" i do hope you are right at least the price is up to .06 on the ask which does not mean much it should be at .20 .
any info you can supply please do so. quiet day today.
i will tell of results, if any, from my phone call to tas. btw, fyi, and for everybody's information: the phone number is: 011-61 3 6231 9339. a young lady named jess will answer(if the weather isn't keeping them closed today-or friday now on tas soon)
i suggest a polite but firm statement that us shareholders want the drilling to start NOW.
ENOUGH OF THE POSTPONEMENT BALONEY!!
there, i feel better, but not really better until they drill the well!!!
i appreciate this board-others are just full of arguing and lack of any substance-this one is much better-substantive comments here from solid people-much appreciated!!!
i agree with mdfyinvestor, eegc should offer something to the hunt rig to get this thing going even if for only 7 days.that would take them through 3,000 ft.(meters i don't calculate) or the chinese, smart win, should insist having someone on sight to monitor daily progress and daily results of the drilling. (positive or negative) the reason i state that is because they seem reluctant to release the remaining money to eegc. hands-on monitoring of the rig drilling daily would solve that problem. i understand that smart win has plenty of money so why not send a team to "oversee" their investment.
i may call tas. again later this afternoon and really vent my frustration with them. if us shareholders don't --who will??
i am looking for success here but am not going to wait another two months when the drilling should have started 2 months ago--sorry, but i have to "vent" to somebody!!
i will do so. thanks for all your input now and in the past. and i know you will post any pertinent news about the drilling if you hear anything and thanks in advance.
good luck to us all!!
i agree with your assessment. i did ask the tasmanian office once(i have called 4 times total because i want this well drilled right away) and i asked jess, who answers, if she was getting a lot of calls and i remember acknowledging in some way that she did.
i just didn't want to see the hunt rig people keep charging for the rig daily(which i am sure they are) and then money runs out and they pull the rig.
thanks howard. i will. when do you think they will finally close the financing? and start drilling. just looking for an honest opinion because none of us knows.
dear howard : you have posted excellent info over the past few weeks and very informative. i did receive a statement today from my brokerage firm that i am a client of about the sharholder rights. i called kansas and talked to tara the secretary and she informed about the premlimenary letter which she had not told me about before and that is why i was so confused . the sec has not approved it yet which may be good because, i for one, do not have any more money to invest in eegc even at 4 cents and the only way i am interested to do so is: if they find oil and the price really jumps on the news. then i will exercise my rights by selling some of my position.
this is a good and informative board. let us all keep contacting the co. until they drill. they need to hear from us as squeaky wheels which always get the most grease.
case in point of poor communication of eegc-i should not have to read a message board to find out that a shareholder has received the .07 rights offering from his brokerage firm. a simple general press release seems appropriate to me that the sec approved it etc. etc.
just common sense. nothing negative at all about my comment.only what a shareholder expects and deserves.
correction. my last post should have said-i have held my eegc shares for a long time..don't want anyone to think i am a broker or anything else-enough "conspiracy theories float around on the internet" anyway-i'm just a small investor with several thousand shares that just wants to make more money than what i invested.
again, best wishes to all shareholders!!
i have held shares for eegc for a long time. i want their success because as a shareholder that means my success. no one asks the company to divulge info that isn't public and violate sec laws. when the american office in kansas is frustrated with lack of communication by the tasmanian people it is only fair to ask questions-because an oil rig cannot set on a site without costing money. and sooner or later, the money runs out and the hunt people could pull off the rig. that is why one poster here was right. get the money fromt he chinese or sell some of the pacific rim shares that mach one owns now and that eegc has a part of. the stock traded yesterday at 25 cents a share + so sell some and use the money for drilling.
just start the drilling and then it will make us shareholders happy. best of luck to all!!
my last post for the day, and i just hope and pray that eegc drills this week, us shareholders deserve it!!!!! good day to all---------!!---swede---
as a follow-up, has anyone, at all, talked to malcom bendall??
or found out anything of concrete value that they will be closing the financing soon with smart win and finally drill this well?? opinions are nice, but good, solid factual info is far better than conjecture all the time.
yes, i contacted tasmanian office and do not receive anything but "up in the air" statements. then they tell me to contact john garrison and i did and finally got a hold of him. he is also frustrated on his end as the financing is not finalized.also, it seems very odd to have a drill rig setting there at probably a cost of $10,000 a day(i'll stand corrected if wrong) amd no drilling in sight to be done, as of this writing. is that not a waste of shareholder's money?
also, seismic is seismic-does it take 30 million of it without drilling one well?
yes, i want eegc to succeed and hit oil/gas because i hold thousands of shares and i feel we are not getting anything but the runaround and i am not "whining" either-legitimate complaints. in conclusion, the chinese are doing a financial audit before releasing the 1mill+ of funds to do the drilling. are they "whining"?? no, just using common sense and reason as i am. someone needs to call tasmania or a lot of us shareholders and let them know they need to drill or this stock goes to 1 penny or a half-penny soon---it's totally unfair how us shareholders are treated and the kansas office of empire as well who are also kept in the dark.
good points. thanks. these are the things that mr. bendall should be revealing or stating in press releases. or in a letter-also if roads needed to be built because of lack of infrstructure-fine. the communication of this company is poor and borders on being pathetic. do NOT misunderstand me, i want it to succeed and i have enough $ invested. i am not a negative person, but i have held positions in other stocks where the info is free-flowing and shareholders are updated respectively and on an ongoing basis. the communication and fact giving of this company is sorely lacking and that is reflected in a low 4 cent or 5 cent value. it would be higher, if they can get their act together.
as a follow-up, i do not believe they have closed the financing yet with the chinese. if you have heard differently, post as such.
there have been too many delays with this first well drilling:nov. 08, then dec. 08, then ist part of jan.09 and now we are knocking on the door of feb.09--
these delays are unfair, and i think, immoral of the company to do this baloney.
hi howard. i wish i shared your enthusiasm. when i talked to tasmanian office of gslm all i get is an avoidance of the issue: drilling. when i talk to mr. garrison here in the states he seems to be and, i think, is honest. i am frustrated with all the delays and mr. garrison said he is on his end also.
they need to drill the first well right away or i see this eegc stock going to 1 penny or under.
and: how could it cost over 3 million so far just to drill the first 800 feet? something does not "add up" ... what are your honest thoughts???
