Don't be surprised if Jim raises guidance from $100 million to ????, in the not to distant future
predictions are fun....I'll just say expect SUNW to out preform guidance for the foreseeable future.....And guidance is and should continue to be very bullish.....Like 100+ million for 2016
I recognize today's announcement didn't move the needle much, but.............You gotta love this company!!!!!......The PPS will eventually catch up to the unbelievable fundamentals.
Cerp, you keep pounding that drum! We all have opinions and yours is no less valuable...
Jim is very judicious in targeting possible acquisitions. There will be no compromising the tangibles they look for in their proposed targets. Some companies have made it through 90% of the vetting process only to fall short of SUNW stringent criteria.....
And I for one wouldn't want Jim to change a thing...
Darb...Thank's for posting interview...
In a past interview when asked whether SLTD would be the largest solar company, Jim replied ...
"Our goal is not necessary to be the largest company, but the most profitable"
What do we have in common with those guys?
And the answer is????????
I don't blame JN for not putting out PR's announcing new contracts, positive developments, ect.....
Look what it's done for the PPS in the past? Nothing! IMO they are bypassing past patterns and are going to hit the market with what i expect to be great earnings....
No more heads up for Mr.Market as it's been unkind to us
This is the last correspondence from SLTD to shareholders. Over a month ago.....Were do.....This week.....Watch......
Solar3D Closes the Acquisiton of Elite Solar
Roseville, CA – December 1, 2015 – Solar3D, Inc. (Nasdaq: SLTD), a leading provider of solar power solutions, announced today that it has closed its acquisition of Elite Solar, a Durham, California-based solar systems provider including Universal Racking Systems, a manufacturer of highly advanced ground mount racking for solar systems. As previously announced on August 12, 2015 Solar3D entered into an agreement with Elite Solar to acquire the Company through a merger agreement. The purchase price for Elite Solar was $7 million.
The addition of Elite Solar to the Solar3D family of companies marks the third major acquisition executed by the Company since it embarked upon its acquisition strategy. This vision of consolidating profitable solar companies servicing customers in key markets has led Solar3D to experience tremendous growth, resulting in its successful efforts at uplisting on Nasdaq in March 2015, increaseing 2015 revenue guideance by 20% and issuing revenue guidance of $100 million for the year 2016. With the purchase of Elite Solar now completed, Solar3D continues to identify additional solar companies that possess solar expertise that is complimentary to its existing subsidiaries, and that will boost the company's top line revenue and operating profit.
Elite Solar has had a breakthrough year in 2015, with revenue expected to increase more than 100% of the 2014 figure with even greater growth in EBITDA. Prior to the acquisition, Eite Solar recently reported over $7 million in projects that have recently begun, as well as a backlog of contracted projects of over $5.5 million. With additional sizeable contracts pending with large agricultural and commercial organizations, Solar3D believes its newest operating division is well-positioned for even greater growth in 2016.
“We are very happy to be part of the Solar3D team,” said Kirk Short, CEO of Elite Solar. “We have already found many ways to collaborate to drive sales and work toward becoming the most efficient solar integrator in America. We believe that the collaboration of our companies will allow us to grow much more rapidly and profitably.”
“This is a win-win transaction,” said Jim Nelson, Chief Executive Officer of Solar3D. “The Elite Solar executive team led by CEO Kirk Short will thrive in our culture. Their expertise will make us a better company. We believe Solar3D stands out within the highly fragmented solar market for focusing on what is in the best interest of our customers and delivering what we promise. With Elite’s help, we expect to consistently drive revenues and profits and thus provide short term and long term value to our shareholders.”
About Solar3D, Inc.
Donald Trump would say, and I would agree.....Kill the damn cat!!!
66 million.....2016 projection of $150 million...2x's revenues we "should" be at $ 10 to 15 pps by this time next year....Or 200m to 300m market cap..
In my opinion it seems that the street is now willing to give SLTD the market cap it deserves. My guess is about 2x revenues or around $5 pps. More importantly as our revenues grow that same willingness should continue.
Seems that ITC hanging over solar made investors nervous in taking positions as no one really knew what the effect would have been, and wall street hates uncertainty....
I still feel JN would continue to drive revenues even if the ITC wasn't extended, however wall street would need to see proof through numerous earnings reports to realize SLTD is not your typical solar company
Brought over from another board....
This past weekend, delegates from nearly 200 countries signed an accord (a legal, binding contract actually) that states how each country intends to reduce carbon emissions and lower greenhouse gases. Now I'm not an advocate for Climate Change, and I'm definitely not an advocate for the terms of the accord, but since I am a shareholder, I see this as a win for renewable energy and a loss for fossil fuels. Knowing this was coming, many oil producing countries have decided to unload as much oil as they can, overstepping OPEC quotas and ultimately dropping the global price in oil.
My hope is that the Solar industry soars from here, and that the companies which I own are the correct picks. Does this mean that SLTD will benefit from this deal, in some sense yes.
So why the little attention from the media about this? Well, to start, our government just signed a contract that legally binds the US to pay a carbon tax, and to pay a back tax for all of the polluting we have done since the industrial rev. It allows for a global governing body to rule over the US and which actually supersedes our constitution in certain areas of governance.
This will be one of the largest transfers of wealth in world history as the money flows from industrialized nations to 3rd world countries. But it will also signify the agreed upon change from a fossil fuel centric culture to a renewable energy based culture.
My post is not intended to be political in nature, but often that is the determining factor behind certain sectors in the marketplace. And I believe it to be so here as well.
GLTA SLTD shareholders, and may you prosper from this unprecedented accord
One of the tools JN has at his disposal, not now but maybe 1 to 2 years away is to begin paying a dividend.
2016 we will be around a $150 million company, if management's guidance is still extremely positive SLTD can take 2 million a year, and pay a 10 cent divy
That would draw institutions, and screw the shorts as they would have to pay the divy on their short position....At $5 per share that's a 4% divy
And if were at 150m i would think there would be enough net income to facilitate growth while paying this small divy..............Just a thought
Asia boom.....Receive are patent in China, and start licensing it out....
Seems to me that the trading pattern has changed in the last few trading days...Hoping and expecting a number of small incremental green days followed by rational exuberance...
I don't see SLTD as a high risk investment anymore. As the plan unfolds in the coming quarters any speculations should diminish .....
In markets that consolidate you have two scenarios.....One consolidation due to shrinking markets...(I'll bet the last surviving buggy whip manufacturer made the best buggy whip in the world)... .
But SLTD is on the forefront of consolidation in a ever expanding market.....Winner!!!!
The weak link to Solar 3d is the cell. Shorts can't question or cause doubt regarding the stunning growth and managerial expertise of such..
So they attempt to cause doubt as a generalization of the whole by casting a dark shadow on the part...That being the cell....
Good luck with that when next year at this time we'll be looking at a $150 million company, achieved critical mass, and ready to move to other states...
Oh yea....Then there's the cell...!!!
I actually invested because of the cell. But it was soon after the sunworks acquisition which gave me a sense of confidence that the company was not a one trick pony....The diversity JN was creating was my green light
JN has stated that the ITC expiration will not effect the growth in our market place, nor the growth in SLTD.
If you our correct and that's what is looming over the pps, then the company will have to prove to the street that their growth will continue in spite of the ITC....
Great earnings will always win the day......We just may have to prove it. I personally have the faith in management to fulfill what they have projected regarding post ITC growth......imo
I had the opportunity to sit down and talk with Jim in Philly, and forgot to ask him that one important question
I'm wondering if sltd will eventually have to go back to the markets to raise more capital...
After the elite acquisition were down to about 7 million, however with the projected income could we be self sufficient?
We've got enough cash for 2 more acquisitions the size of elite, but not sure of the burn rate.
Hoping that with these 3 companies income, plus 2 more yet to be determined we can resist further dilution (except shares offered in sale). If anyone can pull this off it's Jim
At the Closing, the Company paid cash consideration of $2,500,000 and issued 1,506,024 shares of its newly designated Series B Preferred Stock valued by reference to the average closing price of the Company's common stock for the five trading days prior to the Closing, for a total consideration of $7,000,000.
Pursuant to the terms of the Amendment, the consideration for the Acquisition was amended to change the consideration to be delivered at the Closing (defined below) from shares of common stock of the Company ("Common Stock") to shares of Series B Preferred Stock of the Company and to provide for an aggregate consideration of $7,000,000 in lieu of $7,150,000.
Hmmmm...
Thank goodness....That only gives us enough time to lose 3 or 4 cents a share...LOL
Happy Thanksgiving....And be happy we own a part of this great company...
I was told a month ago the company goal is between 500m to 1 billion in revenue.....So 100m quarterly is a justified expectation
Revenue for 2016....Around $150 million'''''''
Side note....I live near Philadelphia
I salute you sir on a masterful post.....This post deserves a sticky....Mods?
Honestly...If you want to know the direction of this company, just look at the three acquisitions Jim has made.....
Sunworks....I don't even need to say anything
MD Energy....Growing exponentially
Elite Energy....Another company that is not only profitable, but poised for major growth....
This is a track record that as SLTD we can depend on as Jim will continue to make acquisitions that will add the same type of value as these other three....
Long....
Picked up more warrants as well
I also believe those whom are willing to throw in the towel are freaken crazy!!!
I was told by management that the short position transcends what is reported...Naked shorting is alive and well...These are not my words/thoughts..
The company will win in the end as numbers will win the day

2016 sltd will be booking 30 to 40 million in revenue per quarter.
Ok thanks for the clarification....In my defense, he was pretty hard to understand...
True....But I also heard him say to expect good news soon from Asia regarding manufacturing partner....I think!! Anybody???

CFO's are suppose to sound boring!!!I'd be concerned if he wasn't..lol
