Unless, they offer $10,000 per 1oz of gold and $2,000 per 1oz of silver at the current fiat value. Then, yes. I'd give mine to the govt.
I agree. It is a possibility that Mexico become the first country in the modern era to back its currency with silver/gold 100%...
This is why I think libertad is atractive for some folks...
I personally, doesn't care much about the libertad, as Mexico is not a stable developed country and I am not planning to cash out the libertad in Mexico. In another word, libertad is just another pure silver coin in other countries perspective.
What I am curious to know is whether there is a hidden agenda of govt. to confiscate legal tender gold and silver at the numeric(fiat) face value... I know it's crazy idea to even suspect about this but what if US govt, wants your America the beautiful 5oz coin for 25 cents... Scary thought to say the least.
In UK, legal tender silver coins are VAT free, but generic bullion are taxed 20% VAT.
I don't understand the logic of this...
Are they luring us to buy the legal tender coins and not the generic coins so that they can get the silver back with the cheap face value? Just a crazy thought..
libertad is legal tender in mexico.legal tender value is the physical metal value, rather than phony numerical value.
world power is shifting... slowly but away from the us and a.... hopefully we can take a similar path to the uk as uk is still powerful country even without gold. jmho
10-4. Your auction got the initial bid.
CLYC SPAM ALERT
ABOT great news~
If you do complete listing search on ebay for these coins specific to the year, you will see what is the average bid for your item. GLTY
After doing some DD about the silver market in UK, I found following.
Silver coin (Legal tender) = VAT exempt
Silver coin/bar (non legal tender) = VAT20%
Silver numismatic coin(collector's coin) = VAT5%
*VAT = value added tax, which is equivalent of US sales tax...
Also, in UK, Silver Britannia has a special privilege.
Britannia is CAPITAL GAIN EXEMPT, hence if you live in UK, it's a good idea to stack britannia so you are not liable of the capital gain tax when you sell your silver above $200/oz in near future.
ABOT this one is heating up.
Happy New Year! Wish you all the happiness, health, success, prosperity and enrichment of your gold and silver stockpile.
Hi interloper,
I think it's a fantastic idea to pass them onto your family, children, grandchildren, etc.. My auction finished with no bid for $1,300. So I guess I will keep the 70 set. I sold 69 set for $655 today... Oh well, I know I missed the timing, should've sold it earlier lol
I have 4 2012-S mint set and I am planning to give away 1 set for my niece, she was born in 2012.
My 2012-s set are not graded though. I'm not sure if I should submit for grading or not.
lol That rep is a kook as he/she is indirectly admitting a legal fraud and not doing anything about it as SEC.
Hey quick question to you all...
I haven't opened an account with Wellsfargo, yet.
Am I going to miss a handsome profits if I don't have an account with Wellsfargo at the time Dinar RV'ed?
I read something like 48 to 72 hours of high rate window and the rate will drop...
This is a happy week on ihub... So non premium member can post here. :)
Yes, I'm happy that I am holding a lot of dinar and dong.
RV will get us out of debt spiral. Finally change is coming. Let's hope. :)
Yes. With the fiscal cliff talk, this is the perfect timing.
It's about time. I hope~
did anyone get .0001 today?
Thanks for the great advice. I will definitely consider it.
I think I'll stick with slabbed coin for Morgan dollars though. They are keeper for me. :)
OMG .0001
voted and approved? that's the question. TIA
Oh well, what can I say... I love bottom play and moreover, I LOVE GOLD PLAY!
I'm always curious about these Chinese silver seller on ebay.
Their product is stamped as 925, yet they sell for just a copule of dollars...
If they are real, maybe we can buy them enough to make a 925 sterling ingot. lol I bet these are silver electro plating scam.
http://www.ebay.com/csc/Sterling-Silver-/45377/i.html?_sop=15&_from=R40&LH_Complete=1&_nkw=silver+necklace+925
I hope so.
Hard not to gamble with PCFG when you can get 1,000,000 at $200.
True, Accu./Dist. indicator going up.
PCFG back in 2010, it was rumored to have R/S when it was .001s. They didn't R/S and went to the multi-copperland as high as 8 cents in 2011...
I hope it will happen again.
This is the one of very rare pink gold miners who actually mine gold. Global gold price suppression scheme is forcing a lot of small scale mining companies to close their door, but I hope PCFG will survive onto the next mini gold bull run.
Is there any chance of company not going for R/S?
I'm thinking about selling my 2011 25th anniversary American Silver Eagle PCGS MS70 & PR70 perfect set for $1400 on ebay.
What do you think? Should I keep them as it may become as valuable as 1995-W proof? Its fair market value is above $2,400, and PR70 goes for $30,000. 2011-S MS70 and 2011-P Rev PR70 both have low mintage of only 100,000. Or should I sell them and use that $1400 to buy like 40 ounces of 2013 Silver Britannia?
I am willing to part with the set because I know I can stack more silver, but I certainly don't want to miss the opportunity of holding a rare coin set that can appreciate in value over time...
I don't know about you, but I would not buy privately smelted bar with an unknown fineness from a 3rd party individuals...
I'd imagine that it would be hard to sell them after you melt the silver. It would be more liquid as an original form whether it is a spoons or folks. IMHO
I recommend you to think twice before you decide to melt your silver...
Checking out the number of mintage on Silver Britannia.
Until this year, they had a mintage limit of 100,000? WOW, I didn't know that... And from next year, they decided to do .999 fine silver instead of good ole britannia .958 to compete against other country!? Sounds like they will no longer have the 100,000 mintage limit though. Maybe I'll start stacking britannia from now on...
Maybe 2012 britannia is relatively still cheap for 100,000 mintage coin, which is worth buying now and resell later!? Just a thought.
I never made profits from the dividends of penny stock.
Dividends = forget about it. This is going back down to triple zero after R/S. Maybe we can win some by buying at triple zero after the split.
Going back to .0001 IMO
Maybe these bullion will have a significant premium in 100 years later. Just my opinion.
Lucky teacher. As for me, I took an advantage of the Pre-Xmas silver sale and I added 1 oz Canadian Antelope coin + 1 tube in my collection. I consider it as a near bullion price investment.
After all, Canadian wildlife series are only minted for 1,000,000 each. I have two rolls of Timber wolf mint direct tube from APMEX and am tempted to sell one roll and use the profits and accumulate more ounces... as I don't think the current high premium for the timber wolf won't last for a long term.
Hi DTGoody. It's nice of you to stop here and say hi.
Yes, I wish I sold mine when you sold yours. You made some nice profits there.
I remember DTGoody sold them for the high price. We should hold onto them and hope for the appreciarion in price in a long term time span. JMO
I really wish I sold 2010 America the beautiful 5oz bullion graded by PCGS as MS69DMPL when they were hot. They almost don't have any numismatic value nowadays.
I've been considering converting my numismatics into bullion as well. Numismatics has a rarity value, however, it's a very small niche market and we will have hardship to sell at the fair market value if we need to liquidate pronto. On the other hands, bullion is more liquid and you can sell quickly because they are 99.9% pure silver and you can trade at the spot price.
*Bullion I refer here is not the generic bullion. Generic bullions are fine as well, but I strongly believe government backed bullion such as US mint, Royal Canadian Mint, Perth Mint, Casa de moneda are the way to go. Forget about proof and reverse proof and burnished and all that. Just keep stacking pure government backed 999 silver bullion near spot price is the way to go. JMHO
