that and your avatar makes me think we haunt the same nether regions of the internet.
Like I was saying; I feel that at a certain point after a stock takes a beating there's no coming back. Point of no return if you will. We're past it here. The only people that are going to make any money on this are those that buy in around .55-.60 I'd imagine. Now matter what kind of run gets even started here it's going to get neutered by people selling anytime it gets above that run. They've made their profit and they'll be gone.
I'm starting to think that once a stock has been whacked, it really doesn't matter what news comes. Any run will be offset by people that bought in after the huge drop.
Guess we know why now
whoah...was not expecting that....
I need to start paying attention to call/put action more often....
Pretty soon going up 4 cents will be like a 37% run
I feel like throwing good money at bad; I may average down here
any time you can invest in a company and immediately lose 75% you have to make that deal. definitely stand by my decision to invest here
Alexza: Where good money follows bad :)
I bet this pops up today. Just because
I wish this would pop already...I want to be first in line to be a FBCK bag-holder
I'm assuming that's why there was a dumpoff; some people waiting for the catalyst and getting bored not wanting to wait til May
wait.....the FDA sends us a letter extending our deadline, helping us, and this tanks?
Well seeing as how we dropped on air, seems logical that we would go up on air + a little bit of good news from the FDA. Plus all those short vultures clearing out now that this thing isn't a corpse just yet...
sweet...and then only an 80% run to get me back to even!!
Colonel Mustard, shorting in the Third Quarter, with the MM's.
wow....I just came back to check out what was happening here. Sad, but expected
I'm shocked this is still trading...
interesting action today....why'd it flatline at the end there? Was anyone watching the bid/ask?
Makes sense to me. I was assuming there'd be some more dilution at some point.
*taps sarcasm meter*
I concur
There's the Alexza we all know & love!
With that massive drop there a lot of people that made around an 80% profit if they got in and out at the proper times. Nothing wrong with 80% in a few days. Plus they got approval but it was by a razor thin margin; let's see how this shakes out when everyone calms down. I'm thinking a nice deliberate up-trend
I nominate this for post of the year.
That was surreal, when they made up their own situations at the end.....and then barely approved it. I can't recall anything like that ever happening. No clue what happens here tomorrow
good point, the staccato was what mattered
What a strange panel. "i've never been more depressed after an FDA panel... $ALXA. We all deserve better." -A.F. on his twitter.
You and me both, Adam. laughing my ass off right now.
That was for the single use though, yes?
indeed; This is a loooong adcom. They came prepared though. What an odd adventure this has been
prayers being answered hopefully....guess we'll see. Thanks for the seekingalpha link
Got me excited there for a minute. Dang
It is odd, it's like the market's saying this shouldn't have dropped so much the previous session. I'm still going with dead-cat bounce...I guess we'll find out on Monday.
I ended up doing well in CLSN for instance, I played the dips and runs on that well, missed the run to 3.50 or whatever, but by then I was in greener pastures. I know the feeling you have though...8 months this has dragged out for. I did NOT expect this one to be a medium length hold at all..
I'd concur; You're probably right, short covering, and then a deadcat bounce as well. I remember when freddie mac & fannie mae were puking all over themselves I got in RIGHT after their huge collapses and made a pretty penny on that dead cat bounce. I think Freddie went from .25 to 2.95 in 6 trading days. I forget now. Nothing was better with them from a fundamental standpoint, it was just traders playing games. I actually came to specialize in dead cat bounces after that. Where I've made the most money to be honest. The last couple years these biotechs that I try investing in just never seem to pan out.
dead cat bounce.
I'm going to write this one off, no sense selling since it's down so far. But clearly people knew something we didn't ahead of time.
Not sure why the huge drop...this is what they were expected to be talking about...it's not like this was an ambush.
true but at this rate a 100% run would barely get (me anyway) back to positive
and right back in the crapper. This is just not going to pan out
