They are supposed to get that $50-60 Million by mid December, that has to show up somewhere. That ought to put them in the green.
I dunno, looking at their financial statements it coul be Dec or Feb.
I wonder how they will show the $$$ they get from the Gov.?
that ought to bump their bottom line..
http://www.nevadageothermal.com/s/FinancialStatements.asp
They will be posting their earnings this last quarter. That ought to be big news.
wasn't me, dunno.
CORRECTION:
The permitting process should run alot smoother when you dont have a mayor and city council trying to stop it.
It should be a Cakewalk "When the Mayor and City Counsil are Lobbying for the project"
“Two years ago, people were allowed to dream and then this economic disaster walked in,” he said. “People have realized that a white knight isn’t going to ride into town.”
Most immediately, he said, he wants to get Laidlaw BioPower online at the site of the former pulp mill, along with the 40 jobs it will bring and “$20 million to $25 million in new goods and services."

Mike ought to post this on his website
BERLIN – Two years ago, Paul Grenier decided to take a rest from local politics and did not seek a fifth term on the city council.
On Tuesday, he was elected mayor of the state’s northernmost city, unseating first term Mayor David Bertrand, 1,396-948.
“I think the blue-collar workers in this community have spoken up,” Grenier said last night. “It’s time to move on with the biomass (proposals) and get Laidlaw up and running,” referring to the larger of two proposed biomass plants.
Grenier, who is a Coos County commissioner, served on the city council for 16 years. He is a former paper mill worker who lost his job more than a decade ago.
“I know city government and I had the right message,” he said. “I was one of those displaced mill workers in 1996. This victory isn’t mine - it’s really the working class speaking up.”
GRENIER
Grenier said his message during the campaign was “jobs, jobs, jobs” and he wants to work to bring them back to his city. He is an advocate of biomass plants and wants them in Berlin. In the last election two years ago, there was widespread sentiment in the city against that industry.
In other municipal results, Ward 1 incumbent city councilor Ryan Landry defeated challenger Beverly Ingersoll.
In Ward 2, former Mayor Robert Danderson defeated Jonathan Edwards.
In Ward 3, Michael Rozek defeated incumbent Ronald Goudreau and Paul Cusson.
In Ward 4, incumbent Timothy Cayer was unchallenged for the 4-year seat. For the two-year seat, David Poulin defeated Joseph LaPuma

About the permit, when exactly was/is it supposed to be filed?
Monday, LLEG issued a press release, in the 10 or 15 minutes it took to hit the wires, "someone" drove the price down about 50% by selling at the market. Finally, when the news became general, the price almost doubled.
a week ago, someone sold about 90 million shares at the market in about 30 minutes, and drove the price down by half.
I also signed up for the news, I got 1 release, the last 2 I did not get.
I have to go to the summary and get the news releases for NGLPF. They do not show up where I get the news for everything else.
I don't need a pumper, all I need is to be assured it is getting the coverage everyone else gets.
I've been with LLEG for 2 years, and they do not pump, and they are real, and when they do release some news, it shows up where I get all my news, as well as all my other holdings.
Maybe not, but it should get full exsposure for full value.
The following announcement is enhancing share value by 30%, and it is expected to to be received within 60 days.
I would like to see the "NEWS" appear on my portfolio page, along with the "NEWS" I recieve of my other holdings, instead of having to search for it. It is the only holding I have, where the Company news is not listed.
The company is supposed to recieve the "Keys" to their plant this Month also, again, I would like the news to show up where I normally look for news, along with my other investments.
Nevada Geothermal Power Inc. (NGP) (TSX-V: NGP, OTC-BB: NGLPF) today announced that its US subsidiary, NGP Blue Mountain 1 LLC, has applied for a Cash Grant of US $57.9 million for the Faulkner 1 geothermal power plant under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. The Cash Grant has a value of 30% of the total eligible capital costs for the project and will be paid directly by the US Department of the Treasury.
On October 9th, 2009, NGP‘s “Faulkner 1” geothermal power plant did achieve the remaining milestones necessary to file the grant application with the US Department of Treasury, including an audit of eligible costs by an independent third party accounting firm and certification of the power plant by an independent engineering consultant. NGP anticipates that Treasury will review the application made October 13th, 2009, and make payment within 60 days of this date.
It is October, and they are supposed to be going on line. I would like good coverage of that event, it would be a shame if they didn't have good coverage.
I think NGLPF NEEDS to hire PR company because none of their press releases hit the mainstream business news. They could fire them, after they start getting major news coverage. Their press releases are ALL below the radar.
With whiplash support, air bags and roll bars.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, obviously, some are blind.
If this is "NEWS" it should get out to other News services shortly. we shall see what we shall see. Meanwhile buckle up.
"WARNING" This is a seatbelts "Required Zone"
Pity the poor b@stards that put in stops before they went off to work today.
ROFLMAO looks like shorts were trying to drive the price down to cover before the news hit the wires. OOPS, wonder where they borrowed the shares? They weren't mine.
Things Have Changed
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A worried man with a worried mind
No one in front of me and nothing behind
There's a woman on my lap and she's drinking champagne
Got white skin, got assassin's eyes
I'm looking up into the sapphire tinted skies
I'm well dressed, waiting on the last train
Standing on the gallows with my head in a noose
Any minute now I'm expecting all hell to break loose
People are crazy and times are strange
I'm locked in tight, I'm out of range
I used to care, but things have changed
This place ain't doing me any good
I'm in the wrong town, I should be in Hollywood
Just for a second there I thought I saw something move
Gonna take dancing lessons do the jitterbug rag
Ain't no shortcuts, gonna dress in drag
Only a fool in here would think he's got anything to prove
Lot of water under the bridge, Lot of other stuff too
Don't get up gentlemen, I'm only passing through
People are crazy and times are strange
I'm locked in tight, I'm out of range
I used to care, but things have changed
I've been walking forty miles of bad road
If the bible is right, the world will explode
I've been trying to get as far away from myself as I can
Some things are too hot to touch
The human mind can only stand so much
You can't win with a losing hand
Feel like falling in love with the first woman I meet
Putting her in a wheel barrow and wheeling her down the street
People are crazy and times are strange
I'm locked in tight, I'm out of range
I used to care, but things have changed
I hurt easy, I just don't show it
You can hurt someone and not even know it
The next sixty seconds could be like an eternity
Gonna get low down, gonna fly high
All the truth in the world adds up to one big lie
I'm in love with a woman who don't even appeal to me
Mr. Jinx and Miss Lucy, they jumped in the lake
I'm not that eager to make a mistake
People are crazy and times are strange
I'm locked in tight, I'm out of range
I used to care, but things have changed
This is supposed to cure malaria in 4 hours.

Pinksheets short interest on LLEG, these are "borrowed shares"?
http://www.pinksheets.com/pink/quote/quote.jsp?symbol=lleg
Good Idea, put every share up sale at $0.10 good til canceled.
hard to go wrong taking a profit, but I think I will wait until the plant goes online this month. GL
Could the Mods file Brungy into the twilight zone, he is wasting band width.
Do you really think a 5% discount from them is going to effect the rates PSNH charges?
How many Mega Watts do you suppose PSNH delivers everyday. Do you actuall think a 5% discount on a 10 MW would make a difference....
NO your not an economist, you don't even have a clue. Please,
do some research and and stay away from the cool-aid stand.
Well good luck with a company who seem's to be hell bent on suing everyone they "want" to do business with. They can/could sell their power to anyone they want, but no, they want to sue some particular party to buy their power.
Got to admire the management. NOT
A local grocery store we shop at, every winter, dedicates one display with grocery sacks full of a variety of grociers, a $5.00 sack a $10.00 sack and a $20.00 sack. You put a sack in your cart and they run it through the check out and put it another display dedicated to the program, and the sacks are then delivered to the food bank.
Everytime I buy Groceries, I always buy a sack for the food bank. Very nice program, and get's a lot of groceries to the food bank.
Sage, perhaps someone should suggest to Mike, that he take a few minutes and make PR with a little more comprehensible summary of what is intended?
I do not think I can read many more of these "Speculations". If I wasn't confused by his Blog update, I certainly am now.
Your hired, Official translator of Mikes Blog posts.
Please Sir,
would you write a letter to the Editor of the Berlin newspaper and state what you have stated here, I think it is important that the people of Berlin realise just how things can change for them. If they don't have a prosperous Chrismas this year, they can at least have hopes of one next year.
Well let us hope Mr. Brungy get's his share of Fame in Berlin. I hope the good people of Berlin take advantage of the information in the article in the local paper,
http://www.winnisquamecho.net/Articles-c-2009-10-13-149706.113119_Local_money_only_to_fund_mayoral_race.html
and realise who and what is trying to keep prosperty at arms length. For all the Selfish reasons, with no hope or plan for relief for the local people, and frankly do not care about them.
Perhaps comming to IHUB's website will bring investors who can not only invest in their future, but provide the local people with the truth and the lies being posted here, and the motives behind each. You certainly will be one of the most Famous of all Brungy.
he said it "WAS OPERATING"
"Update 10/13/09:
One other thing I forgot to mention is that this project will add an "operating plant" to our portfolio.
We will take control of the existing steam plant pending conversion to biomass.
It's not going to make us any money in the near term, but I am hoping that through synergies with Homeland
"we will be able to save some money versus current operating costs and "generate some revenue" while we are undertaking the conversion."
In any event, these assets certainly add to the value of what we are building in my view."
You mean this plant Sage?
http://www.bmpcoe.org/bestpractices/pdf/polar.pdf
Sometimes, I wish Mike was a pumper, you know. I always end up with more questions than answers, whenever he chooses to "Enlighten us". LOL.
Do you know Sage, is this the 10 MW plant he referred to earlier when he mentioned the JV with Homeland.
I've read your post a couple of times, and I think it would be excellent if you wrote a letter to the newspaper in Berlin and enlightened the Community to what occured in your town.
I can certainly inderstand where Homeland is comming from, CNBC had a piece on the British pound this morning, and it don't look good, in fact it looks like trhe UK may go the way of Japan. No raise in interest rates for decades.
I also saw that China/Russia are NOT going to settle their gas/oil trades in Dollars anymore.
And back door no doubt, Mike ought to be getting "Expert" ratings now as a alt energy Company, Homeland gave him that rating at least. We know they have deep pockets committed to this.
