HOUSTON, Nov. 14 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Harken Energy Corporation (Amex: HEC - News; "Harken") today reported results for the third quarter of 2003. The results of Harken's restructuring efforts are becoming clear as seen in Harken's Form 10-Q for the period ended September 30, 2003, filed today.
Harken reduced current debt by $28 million during the first nine months of 2003, improving the ratio of current assets to current liabilities.

Harken's general and administrative costs decreased 42% during the third quarter 2003 compared to the prior year period due to employee reductions as well as reduced legal and professional costs associated with Harken's capital restructuring plan.
Other financial highlights include:
Oil and gas revenues for the third quarter 2003 were $6.9 million compared to $6.0 million for the third quarter 2002 primarily due to higher oil and natural gas prices.

Oil and NG sector->
December 15, 2003 07:58 ET
UBS upgraded the Major Oil and Gas sector from Neutral to Overweight on the belief that OPEC is poised to defend a higher crude oil price than its traditional $22-28/Bbl OPEC basket bank would suggest.
chipped, you're in HEC right? eom
grass, when oil and ng rose... it didn't affect hec so i doubt oil and ng falling will either
hec has alot going for it this week imo... Calandra writeup yesterday (from what i hear entire email was devoted to hec) and rumor or pr coming out about the Panhandle Sale
I'm assuming HEC has everyone's attention now as she's up on heavy vol in pre
Calandra's rec took ivan from .95 to 7.55
I think HEC will get over $1 this week and am hoping for an EAG type run due to the fact that (like eag) hec has been stuck in a channel for a long time
g/l!

oilbaron, re: HEC.. i've been in and out of her several times in the past 2 months.. pretty predictable trading stock. I was watching her today as she had barely any volume throughout the day and there wasn't much selling pressure. So, I was thinking of buying HEC for a flip as it was- when i went searching on yahoo msg boards just to see what the sentiment was.... i saw that KindBuddy guys posts about sale and pr. So, I didn't buy 50k @ .66 b/c of some yahoo post... although it did influence my decision to buy today vs monday
rollin'
who's banman? i heard is was calandra's buddy banister?
spockster202, if we can break .72.. it's off to the races imo g/l to you!!!

re:FTUS read this quote from pr->
Quote:
"If the company is unable to secure additional financing for merchandise for the upcoming spring and summer seasons," Wedbush Morgan's Holdsworth wrote in a note Thursday, "we believe that a bankruptcy filing is a distinct possibility within the next two to four months. We see little possibility of a last-minute entrance of a white knight to stave off bankruptcy." (Holdsworth doesn't own shares of Factory 2-U Stores; Wedbush Morgan Securities has an investment-banking relationship with the company.)

morning subbers! re: PHOX, yesterday i ran out of posts lol .. but had a comment to the person who said it was interesting how the bids followed up the ask
it did so because of my bids pushing it up... I had several 200k orders from .0111 to .015
I did this b/c I knew she looked ready and didn't think I'd get hit... of course I won't be doing this with any super high volume or super high floaters ;)
g/l today!!
bb.. if you have any others that are between .007 and .02 that are just as ready as phox please let me know
rollin'
