Platinum Studios Safe Harbor Statement
Matters discussed in this press release contain forward-looking statements within the meaning of the Private Securities Litigation Reform Act of 1995. When used in this press release, the words "anticipate," "believe," "estimate," "may," "intend," "expect" and similar expressions identify such forward-looking statements. Actual results, performance or achievements could differ materially from those contemplated, expressed or implied by the forward-looking statements contained herein. These forward-looking statements are based largely on the expectations of Platinum Studios and are subject to a number of risks and uncertainties. These include, but are not limited to, risks and uncertainties associated with: the impact of economic, competitive and other factors affecting Platinum Studios and its operations, markets, product, and distributor performance, the impact on the national and local economies resulting from terrorist actions, and U.S. actions subsequently; and other factors detailed in reports filed by Platinum Studios.
I got about half way through and had to hit the sack. At least the first half so far he talked about himself, Ron Howard, some Iron Man, how he creates scripts and a little of C&A. Ill listen to the rest later when I have time to surf the net. I would recommend it though when you have the time. The other links are good too. Time frame and specific projects.
I did see Jims stuff there and that is very interesting. It could be the composer of C&A. That was enough circumstantial evidence to make it seem factual. But I think the only way to verify would be to call the guy and see.
Everyone, keep up the good work on D&D. I also will keep plugging at it.

Does this mean C&A and Atlantis Rising could be in 3D? If Dreamworks want to do films in that format, that might be pretty cool. But I hope the also do one in normal format for theatres that dont carry 3D equipment. Double your profits I say and cover your bases.

Some other rumored movies. Could be in production, could be sitting, could have dissapeared, who knows. Im sure I missed something. Each would require digging to see what is happening. So for now: Rumored>

another Brandon Routh Interview. Just posting these "Rumors".
CS: You've got a lesser-known comics icon, Dylan Dog, that you're going to play as well.
Routh: Yes, lesser known in the States, but probably more known in Italy and a lot of European countries. I'm very excited about the production of that. It's a movie called "Dead of Night." It's about Dylan who's a nightmare investigator and primarily in this film we're going to be involved with zombies and werewolves and vampires and some activity that occurs there creating comedy, action, horror and the thrills ensue.
CS: What are you hearing about Dylan Dog from fans? What are people insisting upon seeing in that character?
Routh: I can't read it all because a lot of it is in Italian. There just aren't a lot of American fans who know about it, but we're going to put together a great cast of other people who fans of science fiction and comic books, those genres, are going to love. What I've been able to read is that of course they love the character of Groucho who is Dylan's assistant in the comics. He's a Groucho Marx impersonator. In the translation to film, it's not going to quite translate the way that you want it to and so unfortunately Groucho won't be a part of the film, but there's going to be an amazing sidekick and assistant and he's going to be a really great character that people will fall in love with, I think. They might be upset at first, but we'll woo them and do our best to bring back all the elements in keeping with the Dylan Dog lore. It's always a challenge when you go from a comic book to a film. You have to make decisions about what's going to play and what's not going to play and how do you make it work because they're completely different mediums. So it's a challenge.

I set up a rumor mill for some of the rumors going around. An example is the Dylan Dog Rumor. Since Rumors can become facts or are based on some facts, we can try to post it in that group. Brian and Scott can at least see these, respond to, find out more for themselves, or see something that they may not know about. I think it is a good thing but keep in mind these are Rumors and not facts unless confirmed by Platinum execs or by a PR.

I posted it under the news section and in a post. Usually after it arises. Dont have a breaking news section, but have see someone do one and it works well.
I was thinking of a "rumor mill" for some of the things happening but not confirmed. What do you guys think. Like the Dylan Dog news etc.. but labeled Rumor.
Surprised in a good way. I dont know of any bad stuff. All I see is good potential for more movies, games, Tv appearances and other things not mentioned yet. We have a CEO/ Business Director willing to communicate with the investors too (within SEC guidelines). How can we get bad out of that. No worrys here from me. LOL.

Thanks for the find. Keep looking. Hard for me to find everything, but Im trying. :)

Very attractive now. This could be a really good year for Platinum. ALOT of exciting things going on behind the lines. Of course, until proven otherwise just Rumors, but I have found some rumors have alot of fact in them. Just read between the lines.
In my opinion
thanks Brian. Fingers are crossed. Looking forward to it.

Brian, No one has talked about Disney buying Unique as a feature film. We now see alot of news about C&A, Atlantis Rising, the Dylan Dog rumor but not this. I saw a blerp that production would not begin until 2009. I dont think this is rumor, except production could be started later. Can you elaborate on Disneys buying of Unique as a film. I guess it only includes film rights as Villard grabbed Unique also.

Since I got you here Brian, last year at the Comic Book challenge, you had AT&T as a sponsor, or a Collaborator. This year, I have not seen anything stating that anyone has become a sponsor. Is there one this year?
Mickee
Thanks Brian for the update. We understand your bound by SEC rules so we will wait for the official PR to confirm or deny this "rumor". However, 9000 rumors of this item in a 24 hr period makes this rumor hard to ignore. I think that if this rumor turns out to be fact at a later date, I feel the publicity for Platinum will be enormous. I dont think even Cowboys and Aliens got this type of publicity with an official press release. And THIS is just a "rumor". Wow.
In my opinion.

option for Platinum to acquire Arcana- Oct 8, 1997
Okey, this is new (well not new but new because we did not know about it). Platinum has a fashion apparel company called Number Zero Ltd.
http://www.numberzeroltd.com/
No, Dylan Dog is a Dark Horse comic, however, in 1997—Platinum Studios acquires the film and television rights to Dylan Dog. The horror comic Dylan Dog, created by Tiziano Sclavi and published by Sergio Bonelli Editore, is Italy's most-popular and iconic comic book series with over 50 million copies sold.
Guess this is not a rumor anymore. Im seeing it listed everywhere now. Platinum should put out a P.R stating the facts for us. If this movie is a hit here, can you imagine what the European sales will be. This is their baby. Score another one for Platinum in my opinion.

Our rights: On the SBE properties, we have acquired all right, title and interest in and to all 3 properties (Dylan Dog, Legs Weaver, Nathan Never), excluding only comic book print publication rights. In connection therewith, on February 29, 2008, Platinum received a notice of reversion; However, the Company has 12 months from the date of such notice to commence principal photography on a picture, whereupon reversion rights would be terminated. The Company has a reasonable belief that it will commence principal photography on a picture by February 28, 2009 thereby terminating any reversion rights.

Here is the main focal points:
Production begins in July 2008
April 7, 2008: Kevin Munroe ("TMNT") has officially signed on to direct an adaptation of the Italian comic book "Dylan Dog" reports Bloody-Disgusting. Dylan Dog is a penniless nightmare investigator who defies the whole preceding horror tradition with a vein of surrealism and an anti-bourgeois rhetoric. The true monsters in many of these stories are human beings. Brandon Routh ("Superman Returns") has officially signed on to headline the Dark Horse Comics title and shooting begins this July in Toronto. Source: DarkHorizons

Brian,
I thought that was kind of a strange page. I mean how many people care if Ironman is religious. Of course, who know nowadays. Since Platinum was listed, just wanted to be sure your employees arent doing side projects that you know nothing about.:). I do not think this link is relevent to anything.
Religion comics are a really extreme genre, but I think if done correctly, with a twist, like Top Cows Magdalena, it can be interesting reading and educational at the same time.
Just a thought.
Mickee
Brian, can you explain this one. I had read something about religion comics? but what is this? I thought religion comics should be like Sampson battling a lion, but with a modern day twist. Is this just a character listing?
