During this long weekend I'm going to make my ever other week ride down to the site and just see if anything looks different. How I'd love to see some roads getting staked out. Might hop the Interstate fence and walk the power line thru the property and see what I can see. Need some action on the ground.....that will make this bird fly!

Hot dang!!!! What a roller coaster ride this has been today!!! Sat down for a couple of hours to work on my income taxes and went to look and thought I'd done pulled up the wrong stock! Now that's a swing in price in a days time. First time I've ridden all the way up and then all the way down so fast. Hoping that VFIN will park his rear somewhere else and let this stock recover some of this loss. It's been trying to take off and those dilutor won't let it. Had they not got in the middle we'd probably have been in the 2+ range today...
Yes, looks like a good place to get in and glad that I did as it looks like it's on a run. Would love to see it close above 6 today and then a run on up to the 7's for tomorrow to finish the week off nicely! Looks like a good solid stock from my own DD...

I've got a little small portion with a sell marker by it but it still won't be down here in the basement. It did briefly hit for a time or two yesterday but sitting her debating if I want to move it up a bit more as I hate selling cheap on something that I know is going to be a whole lot more soon.
Smartest post I've seen on this stock...if people want chicken they'll go to KFC, Zaxby's or some other company for their chicken.. If this company had a few restaurants already open and were investing in new locations it might be something that would take off but waiting on a LEASE for ONE location to open up with no news in a month and a half? All I can say is REALLY????
When Trump is mentioned on these posts it's Trumps son (Donald Trump, Jr) who owns a metal prefab company over in Charleston who met with Medient officials once and then we heard I think last week that Manu was going to Charleston to sign some papers so we're hoping that the Charleston facility is running wide open producing the first of the thousands of panels necessary to build this huge project... Common sense says that's probably why such a trip would be made before Manu headed out to NYC and then out of country to attend the film festivals so expecting lots and lots more news as February unfold happens before our eyes! Go MDNT! Pass those 2's today and keep the momentum!

Facts are facts and there's too much momentum, too much in place, too much happening on the ground and AS PROMISED the CEO is producing clarity on several things this month. He also said the stock price would be reflecting this clarity and it is and I'M LOVING IT!!!

tell a fairly new trader something....I just noticed that there were two asks....one at .009 for 10000 shares and another at .0092 for 10000 shares and the next thing up was .0096. Why wouldn't someone just slap both those asks out for less than $200 and have the bid up to .0094 or are there some hidden ASKS that might pop up? My darn money won't clear but if I get it been thinking about doing something such as I just explained to help support a higher bid or am I missing something?
Started up and staying up! Thinking we might have a genuine penny stock again by today's close.....just a matter of time until this project is going full speed ahead. Once we get a little warmer weather I'd imagine there's going to be concrete trucks, hammer swingers, and all sort of action on the ground down there. With the massive amount of surveyors down there a couple of weeks ago (4 truckloads/crews) I'd imagine that plans are being drawn up/finalized so that the utilities issue is resolved and this MDNT train comes marching out full speed ahead.. looks like all the shorts have gathered over in a corner and gotten quiet. lol

I watched a stock today that had been sitting idle since before the start of the year go up 175% today...in ONE DAY!!! This stock too is just getting it's act together and is going to come out of that station so fast that it's going to burn all the FINGERS off of those who have bad mouthing this stock! Go baby Go!!
Ok..well, this is COOL then! The tax MAP still has another owner listed for the house but when I called down there just 5 minutes ago there is ONE OWNER NOW for the house and that HUGE pond that was recently dug out as well as some of the cleared area. Either this owner is getting a deal worked out with Medient or they're going to temporarily be leasing/renting that house for the tie being!! The house is right between the huge new pond that's been dug and the HUGE area that's been cleared. Can't tell what has been cleared on in the middle of the site. Might be time for someone to just do a flyover to see what's been cleared and if there's any construction going on in the back of the property.

One problem....pot don't grow too good in the middle of winter in S. Ga...not unless Trump, Jr is going to be bringing greenhouse panels to the site!
That is one HUGE document!! What I had heard and what it looks like to me is that there will be NO rent/lease payments for the first 5 years. At the very bottom of the document in Schedule A it shows a tiered rental agreement starting in year 6 going thru year 20. At the end of the 20 years my understanding is that Medient can then purchase the property for $1.
What I did find missing that I was looking for in schedule A is the description of the property. The tax map shows 1459 acres I think so that's almost 100 acres short of the 1550 acres as stated in press documents and in Medient documents. I know that there's a small portion of that in a separate parcel that gives access to Old River Road which will be one of their main entrances. Just curious where the other 75 or so acres are? I think I'll call the tax assessors office in the morning and see if any more parcels have changed hands in the last few days/weeks.

Effingham Industrial Development Authority members have granted a 60-day extension on a master plan for a massive studio project off Interstate 16.
Medient Studios, which has announced it will build a movie, DVD and video game production complex on 1,550 acres off I-16 and Old River Road, asked for the postponement as it retools its expected first phase of development.
“Water and sewer demand is our biggest issue,” IDA CEO John Henry said. “Traffic flow and water-sewer demand are big drivers in their master plan.”
IDA members and staff and representatives from Medient Studios are continuing to iron out the massive project’s needs and how to meet those demands. Medient officials and IDA representatives met last week at an IDA property committee meeting to discuss the snags inherent in providing massive amounts of water and sewer. They have met twice since last Tuesday’s property committee session.
Henry said the IDA needed a linear approach, rather than the studio’s geographic method so board members and staff could “figure out what they need and when they need it.”
“We can’t do a thing without that,” IDA member Glenn Weston said of the master plan and development schedule.
Henry added the IDA has asked Medient and its partners to finalize their expected need for water and sewer capacity and when those needs will arise. The studio is proposing to accelerate the construction of on-site housing as part of its master plan.
But doing so also would significantly increase the amount of water and sewer capacity needed — and also change how quickly it can be delivered. What had been thought initially to be a 150,000 gallon-per-day need for water and sewer could top 1 million gallons per day with the housing construction.
“We have to have realistic numbers on cost and know who is going to be responsible for the cost,” Henry said.
A proposed development schedule has the start date for roads and utilities starting this month, and work on housing and the main studio next month, with completion of those occurring later this year.
“Strategically, we’re looking at phases 1 and 2 having simultaneous development,” Medient CEO Manu Kumaran said at the property committee meeting.
To deliver that much water and sewer capacity, it could be necessary to tie into the county’s water and sewer lines. That could take as much as 12-18 months to accomplish.
“We need as much time as they do,” Henry said. “We want to be able to accommodate all their future needs.”
The difference between the initial first phase need and what could be requested is about $8 million, Henry estimated. The IDA has a cost estimate on drilling a well but that estimate is only good for another month.
IDA Chairman Dennis Webb said solving the water supply concerns has three components — drilling the well as planned, drilling several smaller, temporary wells or tying into the county’s water lines near Marlow Elementary School, the nearest junction to the site. It also could be a combination of those options, he added.
The IDA and Medient had discussed using an on-site septic tank system for the first phase while a sewage treatment facility was constructed.
“The sewer side,” Webb said, “is much more complicated.”
Webb said the IDA is in close contact with temporary county administrator Toss Allen and county public works engineer Steve Liotta about the possible water and sewer needs.
“It’s going to take a lot more analysis on our part,” Henry said. “We don’t want to duplicate expenditures.”
With the revised projections of wastewater in the plan, Medient could generate as much as 800,000 gallons of reuse water. IDA officials wondered how that could be disposed. Manoj Koshy, in charge of Medient’s infrastructure, said there will be enough vegetation and greenery that needs watering.
“I’m used to using that much,” said Koshy, president and studio head of infrastructure.
The housing portion of the development is being advanced because of the amount of building materials needed and the five to six months it could take to get those delivered.
“The issue is to pre-order the steel,” Kumaran said. “The volume of steel is so huge, it’s hard to get it on the open market.”
Henry said the deadlines established in the memorandum of understanding, including the timelines of payments and job creation, don’t appear to be moving.
“They run the risk of not meeting their own deadlines,” he said.
The 60-day extension also isn’t seen as significantly slowing down the project, and a development of regional impact study still must be completed.
“I think this is going to be a great project for this region,” Henry said. “We may have to get more people involved. But as long as we’re moving forward, I think it’s going to be an extreme game-changer for the area. It’s worth the effort, it’s worth the exercise to go through to get the result we anticipate.”
“It’s an $8 million difference,” Henry said. “We’re not going to go forward without water and sewer. There’s a ton of front-end work. I have to make sure we don’t spend any more of the taxpayers’ money than we need to.”
IDA Chairman Dennis Webb said that providing the water being requested likely would not be as difficult as meeting the sewage needs.
“We’ve got to get going to make that happen,” he said.
IDA officials proposed temporary wells to handle the construction phase’s water needs until lines can be extended to the county’s water and sewer connections, which are several miles away.
“We all want to make sure it’s sustainable,” Kumaran said. “If this property is developed in the most efficient and most economical way, that’s the ideal solution for us. If we have to push back some of the things we have to do, we’re happy to do that.”

No, I'm still here, and sorry for my rants the other day but I just like to point out the goods and bads of a company even if I am invested in so that others might share their thoughts and ideas so we can all make good decisions on our investments. I guess if I'm invested in a company though I should not bring up any bad thoughts about a company otherwise it's gets me labeled basher and that was NEVER my intention.
One thing I noticed yesterday on Manu's Twitter page was he entered a life event that said he joined Medient and gave an Old River Road address! One thing I did notice was there is a nice house that is surrounded by the Medient (ECDA) property and just wondering if maybe that's going to be the temporary headquarters for the Medient executives. I checked the tax assessors office but the parcel is not in Manu or the ECDA's name, but if it was recently purchased then it might not show up for a few more days.
Anyhow, I'm feeling more and more comfortable with this company and glad to at least be getting tweets from Manu to help clarify a few things. Now if we could get a really good PR to start the week we'll be off for a nice ride. I'm sure when the time is right we'll get the news we want. Until then, I'll be buying up some more shares while they're ridiculously low!
I'm pretty sure I read on a Manu tweet or somewhere on here that both Phase 1 and Phase II of this construction project will be built simultaneously since they're a little behind construction at the moment. I'm too believe the rest of this month will be golden and glad I've held on to my shares in a REAL company that's talking figures in the tens of MILLIONS of dollars!!
I bought some of this on Jan4 right after your latest PR came out and was hoping for a quick flip...went down the next day and I've been watching and it's been going down down down....Glad I got out of this the next day as in a month and a half still can't find a place to serve these "gourmet" chicken wings? I'd put money in a company that was going to sell sand to the Sahara desert before I'd buy into this idea...but, good luck with it. I'll keep it marked and watch it go to 0000 land..
There's some photos at the top of the page that show some of the cleared areas on the property. Some of us have been hovering around the property on a regular basis and as far as any cement trucks or framing going on there doesn't appear to be any yet, but the clearing that's been going on IS RECENT and should be some construction going on soon. One person reported seeing 4 trucks of surveyors out there on one of his trips by so that should be for staking out construction because all the boundary work wetlands delineation, and topographic surveys have all been done. Still fairly certain that this coming week will be good news and should be LOTS more good news as this month unveils all the things that Manu has been working on putting together to get this project going! Still IN! GO MDNT!

I don't think it's shorters as much as that ATDF shark swimming around the ship with it's mouth wide open thirsting for $$$$....Only about 700,000 shares to get back to the green! Yee haw!! Well, that would be if the ATDF shark was to disappear for a little while, but I don't see that happening! Not really wanting to be bashing a stock that I've got a lot of money in, but I swear, I believe if MDNT was to issue a PR and it said that "Surprise! Surprise! We have the studio built!" that the MDNT shark wouldn't be there to just eat up any kind of run we could have...
Is it going to just dilute down to the triple 0's? Are they that desperate for money?? Sometimes I wonder if Manu's trip to Germany will go right on to India where he'll retire in luxury laughing at all of us who got suckered in.
Not going to bash anymore, but when it's several hundred dollars a day, it does tend to get annoying to constantly lose. I'm riding this ship a little bit further and then I'm jumping in the water, take my lose, lick my wounds and move on!

What I'd give to be a fly on the wall and hear that presentation today...I'd like to hear Manu's explanation from share price going from $2.00 a share down to .008 or so... I'm sure he has a nice presentation on the merger of Medient and Atlas and nice visuals of the studio complex, but when it comes Q&A time he's probably going to get some hard questions...hopefully there's some sort of unbiased report of what happens there.

Looks like folks are finally starting to get tired of 100,000 constant shares by ATDF ALL DAY LONG!! One fills, another magically reappears...I don't understand why whoever's doing that won't let the stock run on up some so they can get more bang for their shares... As long as there's that constant 100K shares on the ask by ATDF this stock is sitting spinning it's wheels.
Hurry up and buy you some shares....I can't hold this train back forever you know!! Or have you done gone broke from that other stock that was pointed out that you'd done lost your arse on and just bashing just to bash?

I'm hoping for one if not two PR's in the morning. One on the Atlas merger and another one that has something to do with the construction of the Studio Complex. Then we'll see the train leave the station. If this stock was to slip anymore down then what point is there for anyone to go to NYC and present anything? This stock needs to be on a roll like never before (up) and it should attract a lot of high dollar investors that could take it where it needs to be.

I'd imagine Manu is doing all he can to keep this ship on course...lots and lots of things to keep up with and keep on schedule. Just the building of the studio complex would keep a ton of ordinary people busy...then having to do the arranging of buying out Atlas, the film festival and NYC venture on his immediate todo list....Probably a big complicated job getting all this to fall in place as planned because we all know nothing ever goes as planned.
On a good note, I downloaded the TD Ameritrade app on my iphone just now so I can peek at my meeting tomorrow and if needed excuse myself to the bathroom for a few minutes to take care of business...
