Hi Cush,
The Travis site won't work for me. Can't play tunes. The Sheryl Crow site works fine though. Love the tune too and like her too. She's got one of those voices that sits well in the Rock or Country worlds.
On the length of the URL on SI don't worry it just truncates visually when viewing 'cause some URL's are really long. It's actually all there.
There appears to be an issue her opn iHUB in preview mode the URLS can't be checked. Gotta find out about that. It's a real pain.
try this:
http://boss.streamos.com/real/interscope/sherylcrow/cmoncmon/video/soakupthesun/00_soakupthesun.ram
In Netscape right click on the link and take copy link location or in IE right click and take copy shortcut.

By contrast, Spanish and French settlements were ventures of the kings, and in the main quickly disappeared
LOL... Not quite the complete picture there Michael. Of course we know the French Colonies thrived in the North despite their stupid king or Canadian politics would be oh so much simpler.
It has as much to do with the type and goals of the immigrants as anything else and is certainly not simply a case of the triumph of free markets. In the North Americas most people came to stay while the Spanish mostly came to visit ;o)

Now do I wait until the dividends are 100% annually to by more ;o)
this isn't investment advice, of course not :o)
Thanks Cush
Always appreciate your input.
Looks like I'll sit tight a bit to see where this resolves itself.

Hi Cush,
If you have time could you take a look at AVN.UN(TSE)/AE.UN (TSE)for me.
I added in AVN 12.50 range (which is still way over my ACB) but evidently that was a not optimum. Where do you see major support ? I've been accumulating AE in the 3.70 to 4.00 range.
I'm looking for better places to accumulate more as the companies seem solid and I think the NG prognosis is positive.
As an aside there is a general malaise in the Canadian Energy trusts. I suspect folks are leaving safe havens for tech ..... for now anyway but ...
Thanks and....

Hi Michael,
I was looking @ Novicourt, NOV.TO. Different Animal.
Copper, Zinc. Mature mine Louvincourt. Rich dividend.

But also megaTEMS airborn tech.

Same play different angle I guess...
Sorry I think I forgot to get back to you on it somewhere a while back.

PEL(TSE) got some may add a bit. Depends on what else I see.
Looking to add some more AE.UN(TSE). I'm down a wee wee bit on that one now but I think they are suffering from the Ketch purchase. It seems to me Ketch wasn't so hot at hedging and they have probably inherited some 'less than profitable' positions. Got to check on that but if that's case it should rise nicely once the hedges are flushed. Then there is that 20% dividend.
Was going to look over EEE(TSE) again but those guys never seem to be able to sustain any traction. ????
Was looking for some CNQ(TSE) around your stop ;o) after looking at the chart (on your mention). Nice pop for you today. So far I'm too stingy.
Bought a pile more of my AVN.UN on the dip to the 12.50's from 12.55 to 12.65 :o) :o) :o) Moved my cost basis up but that dividend is still sweet.
EPEX now how could I forget that one ;o)
Pretty good day today except for that damn GNG. $.06 @ too many shares upset the apple cart a bit.

Thnks Michael,
I'll take a look. I'm looking to broaden my base so to speak.
Got a nice pop in SWG today. Recently bought a pile ACB < 2.20. Now all I need is volume. It's always nice to get some of that instant gratification.
Curious o CNQ is that a hard stop or mental ?
On Bubblevision: Darn I can't open the link. Does this make me your sidekick LOL..

Here's a few posts from that 'other' board ;o) that better describe my thinking. It starts off with post commenting on record high storage numbers for NG.

Now my mainstay for this sector is Canadian energy trusts (CanRoys to some) because I'm
1) Not the best trader
2) Have too many work constraints now to be on top of the market constantly.

Wildman LOL...
Starting from May 2000 it looks like a commercial for ChannelingStocks.Com :o) or maybe a crude diagram for a highschool waveform discussion. Noticed Augiboos's comments interesting..... Frankly it's on the list of usual suspects but normally I'd not of been giving it look now cause it's oily and LF is declining but it is interesting ...
strange day. Checked the markets around 11 and was I was down a good bit. Got home to fine I was up a good bit :o)

Hi,
Don't know if gold is going up because everything is moving to China. The China issue affects my longer term view though. As far as what's getting more scarce, well Natural Gas (for the moment at any rate) in North America.
I'm no dyed in the wool goldbug, just an opportunist and looking at the big picture I'm more inclined to be in than out.
Energy's what I like for the longer term. I prefer the trust route as I'm no ace trader. All kinds of energy too, not just traditional O&G.

I'm still hoping for a storage volume crosover before the year end. That would to me be very bullish for my LTBH energy trusts.

Yes Michael,
I was going to post that I decided to go with it but I had to pick up my daughter for her skating lesson.
Anyway I've played this before too and I know it can just pop up quite a bit on not too much volume once it gets a head of steam going. I rarely buy wrong but I still have lots of problems selling correctly :o)

Hi marcos,
I'm at that juncture where on some of them I know my bids were just silly but if we got another July they would have been sublime.
I'm also not going whole hog in any positions this time as I'd rather follow them up then down this time :o)
I've also been adding some NG here PEL and my perennial favourite after the demise of GOU, AVN.UN which has made a nice dip after a run to new highs.

Michael,
You're not helping LOL. I've been on the bid for a while on CBD. Now sitting @ 2.05 for a few having moved it up already.
I've had to adjust a few of my stink bids recently as POG is not cooperating these last few days.
I haven't decided on Cumberland yet.

Interesting discussion you guys are having.
A year ago even the landscape was very different.
But I think those one timers though are still making inroads.
http://www.pmai.org/new_pma/marketing_research/091202_cameras_to_go.pdf
Zeev's point on the digital killing them will happen but I think is a bit premature yet. A little more price decline to make the cameras even more mainstream and an increase in use of the usual photo finishing outlets to process digital images will do it though eventually. I think the 'one use' still have aways to go. By the standards of posters here these digital cameras may be cheaper but to many more folks they are still very expensive and the consumables for self printing are steep too.
We have decent equipment and still go through a few disposables a year, beach, camping, for the kids, skiing etc.. and those underwater ones are cool. As far as digitizing well I have a scanner.
People keep talking about deflation
Depends on what you're looking at n'est-ce pas ?
Try non commodities especially where the labour can be reduced (Mexican or better yet Chinese) Consumer Electronics, digital cameras :o), Satellite TV, cars if you consider the features today vs ten years ago. Look at those wonderful cordless weed whackers, power drills saws etc... Quality keeps going up and price keeps coming down. Here's my Black & Decker... Flip it over and Made in China. I agree on the commodities though and services which cannot be outsourced to another country...

Picked up some more NGT higher than wanted (I brought it up to even for the close) but what with the 'excitement' being generated elsewhere it should get an added boost ;o) I like it regardless of the excitement though and I appear to be in good company.
Other small fry I own are leveled off (I hope) BGI and GNG.
MNP still got near 100K of those but no stink bids hit on it. I got it real cheap the first go and have just held on.

historically high storage and another build above consensus estimates
Still it's the declining fill rate which interests me. Will we soon fall under last years storage numbers even with a weak economy ?
Issues like Ladyfern downgraded http://www.siliconinvestor.com/stocktalk/msg.gsp?msgid=18158163&s=ladyfern
make me cheerful on the sector going forward. This makes me want to keep an eye on drillers too maybe. I haven't given them much of a thought for quite a while. Last one I owned was the Tesco you mentioned around here.
On gold stocks it sure looks like keeping my fingers warm is OK so far.
