You paint a horrible picture for J&J, yet that's a great picture for DECN. Sounds like DECN has all the leverage to come to a lucrative settlement of outstanding cases!
I would think the loss far exceeds $12.7M due to lengthy delays in bringing Genstrip to market. Eventually, if favorable to DECN, would the settlement of the anti-trust suit brought against J&J cover amounts above the bond amount?
Another article posted today on the company website titled- Diabetes: J&J loses a round in glucose testing battle with Shasta. Nothing new written...
I don't envy people like KB who have to put up with the nonsense you describe, and I know it goes on. Despite that, there are many here who are long term investors who are supportive of letting management do their jobs, which means growing the company long term.
So who cares what the vocal few on message boards campaign for? KB is doing a great job running the company, and he should continue to do so in the best long term interest of the company. The value of what shareholders would get in terms of an immediate payout of the bond money is pocket change compared to what that money can do for the long term growth and profitability of the company by investing it in the business. We'll all profit more by that money being reinvested in the business.
I could care less what people on a message board demand. I'm sure KB will do what's best for the business-too bad if they don't like it.
Since when does the company heed message board campaigns? They are under no legal obligation to distribute the bond money to shareholders.
Great News!! Get ready to rock and roll!!
Maybe the judge ruled, but the bond isn't released yet. The loan was secured in the meantime....
I wonder if the judge already ruled against J & J re. the bond and KB was armed with that ruling on his recent trip to NY for the revolving credit facility. Funny how the $12.5M is the same as the bond amount???
Looks like we'll soon be seeing Genstrip in our local Walmart, CVS, etc. Great News that delivery is ahead of schedule-should be an awesome Fall.
KB is Doing a Great Job!
HE IS AN INDUSTRY CHANGER, and I think, based on his performance, not some biased opinion, he knows the industry and how to run this business. I'll trust him any day before I would listen to those with weak and biased opinions who are wrong much of the time.
Looks like the financial needs for Genstrip launch and operations is met with this deal AND no dilution! Great job KB!! The markets will notice how sweet of a deal this is soon enough.
You know what people call you when you're wrong on virtually everything? .....Oh well, I'll let everyone decide that for yourselves. I'm just glad KB has been right on just about every move he's made at the helm of this DECN.
I'm so shocked we didn't drop into the low .50s as some predicted. Oh well, not the first time they've been wrong. Only good things ahead. I think next week could be really good.
It looks like we have a DECN deck with 5 or 6 aces in it!
This company has so many good things going on, when it starts to break loose, it'll open the floodgates: financing, 2 court rulings, new product line, sales figures, etc, etc. I can hardly wait!
I concur this will move upward quickly, and when it does, look out penny traders like some on this board! Only 1 comment on your post-- YOU'RE NOT USING ENOUGH CAPS FOR EMPHASIS!!
Wouldn't surprise me if the $2 level is reached with Wave 3 before the end of Nov with everything that is imminent for DECN.
That's fascinating Leirum! Thanks for sharing. Looks like about 1.30s coming in Wave 3 before wave 4 sets in...that is unless some really big news catapults this way beyond those numbers.
I totally agree that eventually this company's performance will put an end to all the naysayers.
You can believe what you want, but you have ZERO evidence. Case closed. IMO
DECN didn't pay Biomedreports for today's report for sure-at the end of the article under Disclosures it says "None." Alydyr, show some evidence to the contrary, not your personal opinion, re. any payments in cash or stock by the company for the other recent articles.
IMHO, this is the opportunity of a lifetime! DECN is not pumped by the company-they have an incredible marketing plan in place, and are rapidly building the business. The stock price recently went through a healthy consolidation after rising 400% in the past month or so. Traders should be extremely careful here as this could explode upward quickly as a result of anticipated positive court rulings or business announcements that could take place any time now. Take a look at the DECN chart-it is poised for a significant increase soon!!!
Once again, be careful if you are trading this stock.
Good luck to all longs.
They have probably already lost so much market share that they have to charge more in an attempt to maintain their revenues/profits. Get the feeling that this is a short term solution and downward spiral for J&J? Lose sales, raise price, lose more sales, raise price, rinse and repeat. The writing is on the wall-this can only work for so long and they have to come up with a long term solution or lose out.
You bet we will get regular updates-they'll be every quarter and are called the 10Q!! :)
A HUGE win for all involved!
Small companies should ALWAYS do what's in their best interest. What better way to build brand and market share than by having a contract with the largest retailer in the world-btw, who intiated contact with DECN to secure their product!!! Win-win for everyone including consumers!!!!!
I found Genstrip for sale on walgreens.com by searching for "Genstrip" on their site. Cost is $27.99 for 50 count.
Good work, and great post, Leirum! The picture seems consistent and clear on where this is headed in coming days and weeks, IMO. Thanks!!
Smart man. Back to green!!
Exactly right, Gio. Thx for all you add to this board. To all others-don't let anyone talk you out of the valuable shares you hold-many will try to do so. These shares have potential value way beyond current PPS IMO.
Looks like it's already coming back. Congrats to all who held their shares--LONG and strong!!
Congrats all longs! Thx KB and DECN staff for your excellence! Everyone enjoy!!
The language really is not supportive of JnJ, but is of DECN. I've bolded some portions FYI:
P3 lines 24-28
The Court is not persuaded that the defendants have a dilatory motive for moving for leave to amend. In addition, the Court does not agree with LifeScan that the defendants' proposed counterclaims properly belong in another case between the parties pending before the Court, if anywhere. As the defendants point out, it is not clear that under the Protective Order they can use the relevant evidence obtained in this case in support of its counterclaims in a different case. In any event, if the requirements for granting leave to amend are met, it is of no moment that there is another case pending between the parties where LifeScan may prefer to confront the proposed counterclaims.
P4 lines 8,9
Based on this record, the Court will not find that the defendants were not diligent in making their motion to amend.
P4 line 18
LifeScan's argument is belied by the record.
P4 lines 26,27
Accordingly, the Court finds that LifeScan will not be unduly prejudiced by the addition of defendants' proposed counterclaims.
P5 lines 4-8
The Court does not agree. LifeScan has already stipulated to stay the pending counterclaims in this case, apparently concluding that the benefits of a stay outweigh the effect of whatever cloud those claims place over it. In any event, having chosen to file this suit against the defendants, LifeScan's complaint that the proposed counterclaims harm its marketing efforts is not compelling.
Tell that to those making the big buys at the end of the day today!
Gio, why do you think Forbes will be out with a follow up story? And I hope you're successful at convincing a fund manager or 2 to invest here. That would be great!
Good move IMO - I did the same earlier this week, and with all that's going on with the company, these prices could be a real bargain soon.
I think Revolution is the right word to describe it. Why wouldn't you make this your standard monitoring method anytime you're away from home? Thanks for the info Mr. S !
So it would be sort of an "insert the strip into a port on your iPhone" kinda breakthrough?
Fascinating! I wonder a couple of things: how big that niche market is? and how long would it take to get FDA approval-probably at least several years to do testing, etc?
