Alydyr, maybe you and premo (JP) can share with us some of your expertise on how to trade DECN. I know you both have incredible knowledge of this company and stock. What are your projections going forward for the company? Please help us out here.
So I would say that KB is in the driver's seat in any negotiations-hopefully they're going on right now. That bodes well for everyone involved/invested with DECN.
It's sooooo nice to see a digit in front of the decimal place $1.00 is up....bye, bye penny stock after today!
Just a few trades obliterated 70+K shares on the ask at .90! Up we go!!
Right now, DECN is "riddled" with buyers!!
I'm feeling good about this week! GLTA longs!!
At $1 hopefully tomorrow or Tuesday.
Wow! I'm shocked at Fact #9: Walmart accounts for 25% of Clorox's annual sales!! I'm amazed that Clorox is still in business, much less that their stock has doubled in 5 years, and that their annual dividend has increased every year since at least 2002....Go figure. Now that they have a worldwide contract with Walmart, I sure hope DECN's business is hurt just as much as Clorox's is--LOL!
Thanks, Gio. This could be a good week.
Leirum, thanks for another chart! An excellent road map for DECN for these next weeks. Many of the bashers are posting any negative info they can find to hammer DECN, but they are all missing the major issues that are moving this company ahead. I don't know of many longs who expected much different in the Q than what we got. Maybe some of us thought we might get a little peek ahead with some positive forward guidance, but we didn't.
In essence, it's the same company today, that it was on Thursday, with the same golden prospects that existed before the Q came out. Opportunists or antagonists will look for any and every reason to take DECN down-and some may succeed temporarily with the share price. But KB has a plan, and the company is moving full steam ahead. Be on the train or get left behind at the station!!! All IMO.
VF8, it looks like you were correct when you posted:
"Our Q is due friday. it will be a chess game challenge to see how much DECN will divulge between the end of the quarter "Sept 30" and the events that took place in October and first week of November.
At this precious stage in the game, saving the real substance may be best for the 10K due April. I think the 10k is when we climb to AMEX. But who knows maybe we are in for an early surprise. smile
Looks like DECN will be saving the substance til April, and no early surprises this time.
Obviously lots of believers in DECN-look at the strong accumulation recently! They are wise to look forward at what the company's prospects are, rather than what the company has intentionally left behind. The new business model will position DECN as the price leader in their space, and allow them to garner significant market share IMO. Smart people they are who have held long, or are accumulating!!
The stock was $.20/sh just months ago-now look at it $.86. Hard to pick that apart!
The vote of confidence is the continued dramatic rise in sp this week as well as in the last 60 days. Who cares if they file one week late every time-that's their prerogative.
Thanks so much for the explanation and for working up these charts. They are really beneficial at giving us a picture of what's anticipated next and longer term. I'm sure others would agree that when I see you've posted a chart, I immediately start digging into it to see what you've come up with. Thanks again for doing/posting these and your other comments are excellent also!
I think we're on our way with DECN. Hopefully we bust through that $1 soon and on to much bigger, better things.
Leirum, is the $2.50 Price Objective on your chart what is anticipated for Wave 3?
Great News! Fox Business or Fox News?
Leirum, possibly looks like the start of Wave 3 as you predicted...here we go! Ask now at .77
You're right. KB always seems to be about 3 steps ahead of most.
Major shakedown in this entire industry. Wouldn't this be a good time for an announcement to introduce another product?? Add DECN to the list below of clear winners, as they "chip away at JnJ's installed user base!" All IMO.
"The real speculation should be what will everyone else do? Listen if JNJ, the market leader in BGM, is taking such drastic action what does this mean for Roche, Bayer and Abbott (NYSE:ABT). Also how will this move impact Dexcom (NASDAQ), who’s been waiting patiently for Animas to get the Vibe through the FDA? Perhaps the only clear winners here are Medtronic and Insulet as with Animas in disarray, they can use this news to chip away at Animas’s installed user based."
What a great place and time for DECN!! Doesn't appear J&J is in a very strong negotiating position, does it?
Ohhhh, I've been tempted to sell... LOL It'll take a lot more than that after 4 years being invested here.
I guess we'll find out soon enough.
DECN shouldn't. "They" in my message is J&J and I doubt that they will.
"THOUSANDS"-so far I've heard of 2
"LITTERED"-they asked for them
"SPAM" - advertisement
So if they have only a month, they better start some serious conversations in earnest!
Does the email you received have the word SPAM in it bolded, red, and in ALL CAPS?
DECN PROJECTED TO RISE!!
In the latest article, the author states:
"Since the ruling, shares have seen steady appreciation, though not exhibiting the dramatic leaps in value that I had initially predicted. Projections are that this rise will continue, especially as they begin to post profits within the coming quarters."
"Johnson and Johnson makes 2.6 billion annually in diabetes diagnostics sales, mainly from the disposable strips for their devices. It's not unlikely that they will make a similar move to acquire Decision Diagnostics for a fraction of that sum, eliminating a dangerous competitor and guaranteeing future control of the market. As an investor this would be the greatest opportunity to capitalize on this stock, and as such one that I am eager to see. "
Read on this board post numbers: 9954-9956, 9962 &63, and 10004. Should help bring you up to speed on latest posts re the $12.7M bond.
News is coming onto the wires at a regular clip and often. One of these days DECN will get some legs and we'll be off. Who knows when it will happen. I would bet it will come sooner rather than later, IMO, IMHO, JMO. Just sayin....
This company is a long term winner. Beware of short term advice to the contrary. Don't be misled and miss the boat-when this goes up, you could be left behind, so I wouldn't try to time this. All IMO, IMHO
Thx, Buy- ITMTF. That's a perfect arrangement. I'll probably wait until the stock gets to $10 in 2 years (IMO), then convert the shares when Schwab does it for free. :)
vv, thx for the heads up, since I use Schwab I'll check on it. I've spoken with them in the past about the restricted shares, but nobody mentioned the holding fee.
BTW, do you know how many hits the commercial has received now?
I have dividend shares, but don't plan to pursue anything with them for quite some time.
Here's my favorite part of the latest article- this is the future - "With the injunction lifted, Shasta and Decision Diagnostics are set to "fully implement its rollout strategy for GenStrip," the companies said. With a new line of credit and its legal win in hand, Decision Diagnostics estimates that it could begin bagging annual revenues of more than $250 million." Full speed ahead!
Thanks, VF8. Your posts are always informative and substantial-I appreciate it a lot, and look forward to great things Friday and beyond!
The same management that got FDA clearance for Genstrip against all odds, the same management that is the first to take down a segment of one of the largest companies in the world, the same management that is redefining the diabetes monitoring industry, the same management that has acquired financing for $250M/year for their business, etc, etc. Guess I can read after all and it's looking oh, so good, for this DECN...
Old news, old product. In case you haven't read, they are now rolling out a new product called Genstrip.
If you assume $25M in revs from Walmart, with 5000 stores, that's only $5,000/store, or roughly 500 boxes of Genstrip. Didn't someone post a while back that the initial shipments to Walmart could be 1000 boxes per store, which would double this amount??
