Waite,
At this time, I enjoy being able to agree and disagree with TR and still feeling I am in a dialogue. That is how business needs to happen. (lets teach Washington, and this is a business statement not a political one as in all my previous posts refering to washington players) So that would make a yes. I do think TR is someone that I or anyone could work with.
RJ
TR,
If FASC surives this tough period we are now in, I believe Adam is
getting prepared to take over. He does have the personality and determination to make FASC's existence his career. I am believing that Brian will be around to oversee.
I personally think FASC will make it. I do believe Brian when he says he is doing all he can. As far as arguing with "perseverating"
non-constructive opinion that none of us can do anything about, I will pass at this time. I am sure that if someone ante-ed up the big dollar, they could have some input?
FASC is a gamble, but it beats Vegas!
RJ
Happy Thanksgiving to all!
RJ
Charlie,
Welcome back as a moderator.
Lets hope we get some FASC activity here over the next couple of months that will give this board some excitement.
otherwise? Waite and I will have to start quarreling again. I don't think anybody wants that!
RJ
Waite,
"Oh well RJ - I tried to straighten you out. Before this turns into a Dear Abby column, I think I had better focus a little more on FASC. (Although my mind keeps shifting back to what a sweet wife you've got, RJ)."
That is why I do not introduce her to many good good looking, sweet talking, wealthy old FASC sharesholders such as your self. I am on charity time now!
"Both sons have been told to follow the board and do what Net-Man and TR do with their shares. So, let's hope you guys are better forecasters on how much to hold and how much to sell. "
....do your sons always do as you tell them?
Have a great and wonderful FASC life,
RJ
Waite,
I must refute a few things from your post.
I for one, personally remember my wife claiming a family cruise to pay her back for all these years of FASC stress, not a the entire board. Once again this is Waite trying to get another freebee such as the strawberry pie!
Also, I remember you trying to give me all sorts of forecasts about FASC and its future? Are you sure you should be in the forecasting business?
Then there was the tongue lashing I received for being more tolerant with a particular poster that I remember berating you fiercely on another board. Insults galore! Preaching forgiveness and tolerance is ok, but changing a Irishman without offering him some refreshments is a poor expectation. (never mind, I quit drinking some time ago)
It was when John, Waites son called that was most enjoyable. John was so elated that he still had someone to call Dad, that the loss by the Detroit Lions nor the fact that his inheritance is invested in FASC shares could get him down.
.....then there is the spring chicken comment....I am only 53 and if you think I plan on calling it quits at the young age of 85, you got another thought coming. My first career lasted me over 35 years, The next is to do the same!!!!
I will pass on commenting about the nursing help you get, other than to say, that I am sure that you enjoy the help more than you need it. (you guys can fill in the blanks)
Then there is the expense of the flowers I was bringing on behalf of the FASC shareholders(as in Cals funeral) that went to waste. (could have been more FASC shares)....?
All though there is so much to straighten you out about, for the sake of time I will close with this. "My wife is my much much better half"
RJ
Waite,
When God was handing out talents, it is obvious you chose wisdom.
RJ
Net,
It is my understanding that one of the customers may have their
financing back in order in the next couple of weeks. Then they can have their machine!!!!! I am hoping that Brian will share that information with us in the next 10Q. The reason I was able to get this information was in referencing the previous 10Q with questions about the inventory.
I am impressed with the commitment and endurance of Kelly, Adam and Brian. I wish to have their stamina and character.
That does not mean I feel this is a slam dunk.
Courtesy to all,
RJ
Hi Peter,
I have been painting caution here along time. I just am not into
sarcasm and closed minds. I like honesty.
RJ
Peter,
I too remember the Vietnam War, other than that, you lost me.
Well, I guess it is a good thing I am heading to English class
in a few minutes!!!!!
I still wonder what kind of party Sun may have over the demise of
good ole FASC?
RJ
Net,
Adam has two demo's today!!!
After all the activity FASC has, it would be great if
a boat load of purchase orders would....
RJ
Sorry Peter,
My reference to being off topic was in reference to my words about FASC which had nothing to due with TR. Maybe I should have used the words Subject in leiu of Topic.
It still does not answer the question.
RJ
Charlie,
It did not get that far due to not enough support. To get that far would mean spending $$$$ that we do not have.
RJ
Net,
I think that the name of the company was Cascade Capital that
did the research a year ago, and could not find enough support.
It costs a lot of money to ask for additional shares. If there does not seem to be support for it they do not do the ask.
I did not get this information from FASC, but Cascade themselves.
Obviously it led me to ask Brian about it, and he confirmed he was checking to see if there was support, and there was not.
Somewhere I have the information filed away from my digging.
If I can find it later, I will give them a call.
RJ
Net,
I agree, but Cash flow makes life and survival easier. Have you observed otherwise profitable companies go under do to lack of cash flow? I have.
I cannot imagine TR not having observed this. Also, as TR has shared, I believe Brian needs the extra funds to set up successor management to surround Adam as well as pay bills.
RJ
Net,
That sounds good, but look where QL gets its profits. It is from the product, not the process. By reselling are they not improving the competition? I am not against it, it is just a question.
RJ
Net,
QL is using three KDS machines for their own process and planning
on adding additional lines. I ask, what incentive do they have as a reseller?
Just thinking,
RJ
Waite,
The problem is if; Sun is contributing about FASC? As a Moderator he should know better. His concern seems to be with TR. I differ from TR in opinions, but it is a difference about FASC not TR himself.
Also, If Sun will share about his research FASC and how he could help, the aroma would be different. When a person gives balance, they are not enjoying demise, but recognizing it and participating with constructive input.
I believe Sun to be very educated and smart. He is not wrong in all aspects. How-ever, I think Sun would be proud if FASC failed?
Just the way it looks,
RJ
TR,
No we don't. I asked.
RJ
Sun,
I always try to accept you as if you are being objective. But again with the last post, I wonder if you are hoping for the worst so you can say I told you so.
I have always seen FASC as a gamble. Here, some of us try to look for an opportunity for success, if any, and dialogue about it.
It is the Sarcastic tone that throws me off. Does not seem the tone of one that has an objective opinion one way or another.
Your opinions are accepted, how-ever what is it you are "hoping" for? Tragedy? This is the FASC board. Opinions both ways are welcome here.
RJ
TR,
Yes, and thanks,
If you need to talk to me, Waite has my Phone Number.
I do not want to place it here.
RJ
Sun,
Thanks,
RJ
Net,
You are correct. Is it called a Freudian slip?
Thanks,
RJ
TR,
Do you have a suggestion or can you fill me in on "private placement"?
RJ
Sun,
You lost me?
My thoughts are that cash flow is the issue, not the willingness to file. We do not argue that we are in perilous times. I miss your point.
RJ
TR,
I am willing to talk to Brian tomorrow, about your thoughts. Think about what you would like me to discuss with him.
Serious team thoughts only, I am not interested in emotional baggage from the quick trade choir.
RJ
Sun,
Post started out well, but you made a mistake. Not "ignore" its cash flow. read the 10Q's.
My take on it,
RJ
Sun,
I am sure you are correct. How-ever with damage control and getting back on track, it would be helpful at some point.
RJ
TR,
I hope Simo of Pacwest does not delay St Malo project any. It would
be a great shot in the arm. I still would like to see more shares issued either way. There is nothing like a little cash flow.
If FASC stayed independent we still have Adam that is learning. Adam would have the support of a accountant that has been around a while. A few of us longs on the BOD and ????, do not discount the thought. It is better than loosing it all.
RJ
TR,
I asked Brian about new shares. He said he did not have enough support for obtaining new shares.
Personally, I would rather intervene/help, not take over FASC, than
see it falter. Give life long enough to partner some-where. I am sure there are sharks waiting for FASC to falter so they can come in cheap and pick up the pieces.
It would have to be a team effort.
If you are interested, do not wait to long.
RJ
TR,
Maybe a few of us would like to take a trip to Canada, Throw in
10K or so each to help out and join the BOD? It is better than just hanging around griping and watching our investment continue as
a Gamble?
Your lead,
RJ
TR,
Maybe you want to call Brian and offer some help?
I believe Brian to be hardworking, honest and determined, but a little help can make the difference.
I wish the company took my advice and merged with a larger concern.
At this point, it is hold on to cash and wait for payments to come in. Business can be tough when you are owed money. Big Business likes to treat small business as skum. You have to wear a thick rain coat when the storm comes from all directions: Shareholders, Suppliers and customers!!!
I stand to loose a lot of money here, but I trust Brian is trying to pull us out. I wish FASC went for the more shares, I would have loved to buy some "preferred shares"
Go ahead TR, give Brian a call and offer help.
Whether we win or loose, I would enjoy meeting Brian some day.
RJ
PS. I have not bought any shares for a while, I have never sold any. I am not sure which is foolish or smart.
Net,
You are correct. Financials are in the way of what would
otherwise be good news.
We are all hurting, so is Brian. We will have to hope that
the financial arteries open up.
I have no choice other than to be patient and wish Brian well.
RJ
FASC,
We all knew this was coming. It is called Cash flow.
We have had the 10Q's to read. I shared my opinions and got blasted here! I like Brian, but I painted our situation here cautious.
I remember saying the word "Gamble." I do not believe FASC is yet wallpaper, I do hope for recovery.
RJ
Net,
I agree with regulation. The problem is varying by Industry and area. It is the excess of paperwork, the poor behavior and the lack of experience by many of them. Also, many times you have a shortage of service people or inspectors. Other times it is the lack of ambition. Have you ever had service with a smile from most Government employees? It is rare. The short is that there is lots of excess, unnecessary paperwork that has to be filled out that has nothing to do with the projects and much that is none of their business. I would know.
There is also the need for technology to catch up with regulations so you can use products that work for what they are designed.
I feel that you need to place High standards at the top. If they follow the laws at the top, the subordinates will to. How many times do we see folks enforcing laws and regulations but not following the laws themselves. Ask the Bankruptcy court in Delaware about it.
RJ
TR,
Your prompt caused me to give Waite a call. He is doing well. He had a very difficult time with a dangerous infection. The antibiotics that he had to take were very powerful and made him very sick.
He said he will start posting again soon.
RJ
Hi Net,
I have not been in contact with MnVap for quite some time. I used to call regular. When others started calling, I did not feel the need to anymore. I also did not want to annoy by overloading them.
RJ
Waite,
You know how to get a hold of me if you need anything.
I do wish you the best.
RJ
Net,
He also stated what I have stated before that there are other much less expensive systems that can grind.
We need to be versatile as a company offering more than just one grinder.
My opinion,
RJ
Charlie,
I think FASC should issue some convertible preferred shares. That is how I would pony up.
I am sure there may be other better ideas.
RJ
