...at the end of the video, a disclosure that the VR may not be what is expected?

nice find fortune, bears watching...
busdog, great links...from your second (HipePC) this quote...
"And trust us, there is nothing cooler than walking up to your car and telling it to play a particular song, watch television or switch to XM Radio. Similar to a popular 1980's television show."
Valentine's day, Patty's day, and Easter have arrived and all but Easter haved passed...March madness now, Tiger opens at Augusta, the Kentucky Derbie, Preakness and Belmont ensue...with these seasonal offerings to distract and amuse us, soon enough, ONEV will be reporting Q2. Looking foward I see great things...me and a truely global internet device in my hand and at the beck and call of my voice.
nice find hog! next page in is a chart...

fortune...can we speculate that Iris functionality got them "hopped up" enough to completely reorg their connectivity practices. That being said with presumption, at least it must be considered that Telmex is doing much to reallign itself to be the best competitor. Good luck to Telmex.
...my conclusion? Intel has whipped up the huge tailwind necessary for them to create consumer "want" for the MID. Perhaps the economy will oblige and in the hard times perhaps to come the consumer turns to staying home playing games online with other game players around the world...some retail analysts see Second Life avatars becoming your personal shopper...these ideas may seem far out today, but in 10 years when I retire...hmmmm...maybe some of my far out ideas come true.
Where L & H failed, I & O (INTC and ONEV) succeed? Link my recent posts...another...

to ponder this old L & H statement...
"Speech recognition in games or edutainment software is ideal not only for command and control functions, but also allows the player to perform complex game functions by simply speaking with the game's virtual characters, or 'avatars'. This more natural interface between the player and the game gives the user a feeling of complete immersion during game play."
...and to ponder the relevance of the Intel and ONEV teaming agreement or MOU...all the while considering the MIDs and Say2Play...veno, pray tell?
Remember these guys?

Ou et they while ONEV goes to...
"We will demonstrate this software at the upcoming Intel Developers Forum (IDF) in Shanghai, China (April 2 – 3) and at the upcoming CTIA Wireless 2008 in Las Vegas, NV (April 1 – 3) to partners, press and analysts."
It appears that veno was correct in saying ONEV would have a presence at both shows...hmmmm...what else veno prays tell?

Dave, to tread lightly on your sensitivities...software is not shipped on hard drives per se. Hardware is shipped in racks, in cabinets, as blades, in clusters etc etc as a physical asset, a server. Software is well, soft. You will never break a fingernail implementing software, except maybe on the laptop keyboard...and here ONEV has a solution...the voice rather than the fingernails...
What's going on...ONEV carrier-grade server-delivered SW is put on the data center floor as an app and a service already installed on the server(s). Servers (the hardware) serve applications (the software). This concept is even confused within the data center but is based on these notions: a server can be defined as the HW components it is comprised of:CPU, memory, busses etc. What is also called a "server" is a software app that "serves" up a function. UNIX folks particularly like to differentiate the difference...ONEV functionality is that "served up app"...think buffet...
...meaning music libraries will be enormous and ONEV VoiceTunes becomes a must-have organizer...
SBB so you are saying ONEV is unparalleled in OTC land. I would have to agree. Hang in there ONEV, what's another 6 months after the 9-year slog that is now history.
yeah, SBB fess up. There are 2 out there that I own that have disruptive technologies and are as green as grass and the dollar bill...you need to look harder to come up with a promising list of "emerging companies".
Isn't it great that ONEV "takes a licking and keeps on ticking"...its "Timex" has come!
Time to dust off the China patents...
ihub a concise well said argument to date
SBB, footnotes please...
financial and commodity trades are deleveraging...the unwinding of these positions may not be done but what is done to date is larger than any market salt has seen in a generation...Long Term Capital comes to their minds...a real irony may be that it will be SAFER to be in sub-penny stock ONEV than in GOLD or Potash...interesting times when a large, historied, prestigious investment bank like Bear Stearns collapses...ONEV green in a very bloody red day. More to come!

Pros: I had a really easy time picking it up and using it and it saves me time while navigating to one of my 15k+ songs in my music library. Better yet I can control VoiceTunes while walking around the house with my mic. Everyone needs to try this thing.

Is ONEV attending this? Just aired on cnbc. The buzz is location-based applications for example search for a restaurant.

I posted a link that it was "later this year". Ford had the exclusive as they co-developed the product with MSFT. The article said that MSFT had lined up another large auto manufacturer and it would soon be announced.
LOL morley, thanks for you being you and keeping the board, always, upbeat.
This statement in the PR gets me stoked but need veno's input as he has tested the beta. The PR seems to state the obvious. ONEV VR for media, at least in this case audio, is now and forever unteathered from the MSFT Windows Vista/XP domain and no longer relies on their success for it's success. Correct?
"It works directly with both iTunes and Windows Media Player."...directly? Meaning does it work, at this release, without Media Center, on a cell OS, MSFT or otherwise? Seems so...

hog, I like the PE of 1
thanks lukyluky, the box graphics are retro like the LTB Bean ads which were well received by the industry. The "bells and whistles" the software delivers are implied by the big "radio buttons" on the box that visualize as "radio buttons" or "bullets"...An aside: would the poster who posted that the say2play page opens with big bullet sounds please repost link as I was too busy to view, TIA..."Radio buttons" are still very prevalently used to configure the properties of ANY WINDOWS WINDOWS aka ANY WINDOWS GUI (Graphical User Interface). I think the graphic pun is intended and like Iris, the ad kicks knuts out of the park...IMO
dumo21 very well said and ditto...
