I am being realistic RedLeaf. Look at any primer on investing in companies lacking a real track record & you'll find P/S ratio is a good gauge to make an initial determination of value. That's the criteria I'm basing figures on & nothing more.
As far as the ratios of the majors I've mentioned, they were used only because data on them is readily available. But you seem to imply that all small companies or pinks like Aurus are selling at a discount, and that's not so. Furthermore, MANY ARE NOT EVEN IN PRODUCTION, as a result, a P/S ratio cannot be computed. Just because Aurus is a small company doesn't make my argument that the stock is undervalued untrue.
That's says volumes when a local business owner invests 50 grand after talking to Krong mgmt...
Now that you mention it, I have invested in a variety of start-up companies that have used venture capital investment companies (First Allied Securities) in order to raise capital. A corporate CEO, along with the VC firm, will put on a presentation for prospective accredited investors for the purpose of receiving late stage mezzanine financing prior to an impending buyout or IPO.
It's not like Aurus has to use these means to attract financing, but a little salesmanship before the investment community would go a long way '2create' the awareness necessary to bring more buyers to AURC.
Just my 2 pennies worth
Yeah, I forgot about that discrepancy also. That's why the work you and the company have been doing to increase awareness & knowledge about Aurus is so critical.
Just looked at some industry P/S ratios and found some examples:
ABX 5.23
AU 5.00
NEM 4.24
RTP 3.16
BEMA 15.08!!
GG 13.68
So based on January sales alone (which we KNOW will improve), we should be selling for .57/share with a P/S of 5. Or $1.71/share if we were valued similarly to Bema
Agreed, since by ANY form of measurement this stock is serious undervalued.
The first shipment of only $1M of gold for January, along with our current PPS gives us a price/sales ratio of .75.
I don't know what is typical for mining companies but this ratio more than any other screams "buy" for our shares.
If we move past .25, then .43 is next resistance level--
When we break that it's off to the races 8-)
Gold @ $672 after hitting $676 today---
When the PPS of Aurus jumps it is going to explode. There are way too many events converging in favor of this company right now.
What a 'snow' job- tens of millions of shares? It's a DEBENTURE, you macaroon- a DEBT instrument, get it? Only capital stock IF converted under the terms of the agreement. You also have no clue of what the conversion price is, # of shares involved, or any of the terms. Acting as if you do totally undermines any of your self-imposed credibility, ibreken, er, I mean snow ;-(
I figured the short selling argument was going to be made by one of the bashers. They'd like everyone to believe that all investments made by these firms involve dealings that will be detrimental to the company, when in reality the majority are quite straight forward.
They also want to paint a picture of desperation by Aurus in obtaining some sort of "death spiral" CD arrangement, which is another bad joke. There's no way that a company with the hard assets we have in a country like Russia is going to allow foreigners to pillage them in that manner. Once the equipment begins processing additional ore, Aurus will have more than enough funds to repay the financing at little dilution. They are in a business that will generate 100s of millions in revenue from metal selling at $670/oz.- not some fly-by-night loser like GZFX that used CD to finance a company with no chance of receiving any real revenue & subsequently had to issue billions of shares...
thanks 2c- I'm looking forward to seeing what your wife has for us.
And it's nice to finally put a name to the directors who will be leading us to the promised land.
BTW- if you had any reservations about your motives/abilities would you have your pic taken by a shareholder? I think these guys are beginning to embrace the attention they'll be receiving as officers of Aurus.
Are you kidding me? Why would Kyoto convert $50M of CDs to accept massively diluted shares of Aurus stock? Don't you think that they would only take shares that are worth far more than the current PPS? For these guys to invest in a Russian metals company to this degree of commitment shows that they have done their homework- unlike you.
This PR is great news IMO, not necessarily because it is a CD, but because the company was upfront in naming the financier and the nature of the debt instrument. And it also provides a time frame on when the company will receive the funds to ramp up production. Like anything else the mgmt. does, this move will be open to speculation depending on the investment motives/goals of those involved, but it's obvious that the information issued to shareholders is increasing dramatically and they intend to grow the company NOW.
Don't even respond to that stroke, Th...
This guy has been bashing Aurus while acting as a mod on the CHGI board. And when I threatened to expose his fraudulent actions on that forum he banned me ASAP. The news and developments on AURC blows his fav stock away and he hates to admit it. If you want to see something hilarious take a look at the PPS of CHGI & you'll understand why he has a serious case of rectitis.
FYI, rectitis is a malady whereby the sphincter muscles become crossed with cornea, giving the suffering party a sh!tty outlook on life.
2C- That is major news if true. Have you or anyone else relayed the concerns you have about IR to Aurus mgmt? It really smacks of fraud if you ask me & the company needs to be as forceful as possible in dealing with this situation.
We all know there has been massive manipulation of the PPS on a number of levels over the past several months and it will continue until Aurus makes a conscious effort to control information flow & production increases dramatically.
Just shut up & buy mgreg...
The price is low enough already. Quit being such a cheapskate.
I'll second that... but it's nice to see others are beginning to see the light :o)8
I think we're on our way, but don't think $2.00 per share is attainable based on January's production numbers- at least this year. But I believe Aurus could easily do $50M-$75M in revenue once their equipment is in place. That would equate to about 20 cents per share and justify a PPS of about $3.00- or a 30-bagger from these levels.
Not too shabby.
What an interesting day- two PRs in one day with the new guy on board is quite bullish indeed. It makes you believe that this company is ready to execute it's business plan in earnest.
The financing deal with the Canadian equity fund needs clarification IMO. I think it's great that they see the potential in Aurus to commit to a $50M investment, but the fact NewConsult was already in the picture with a first right of refusal up to the same amount makes me wonder if they were given the opportunity and passed or if Aurus found a better deal.
But they obviously have big plans for the funds which means mega $$$$ for all of us longs in the near future.
A total waste of money. You're right- it's best to just move on and not even bother with this stock.
But we all know why you're here- you can't wait to buy more of this "terrible company", can you ;-P
InvestmentNews report bullish on Russian oil....
NewYork- An executive at an American energy company with assets in Siberia is one of many who suggest that the U.S. come up with an alternative to Middle Eastern oil.
And not surprisingly, he is pushing Russia, among other areas.
The U.S. is sitting on an energy land mine, said David Zaikin, the founder, chairman, and chief executive of Siberian Energy Group Inc. of New York. The firm owns seven oil assets as part of a joint venture covering 1 million acres in western Siberia and 90% of the gas assets in the Russian region.
"Some traders and oil companies suggest that if Iran withdraws half of its oil deliveries, price per barrel will jump to $160," Mr. Zaiken said. "All major oil and gas companies can bridge the gap for a very short period of time, but after that, the price is in free territory."
Mr. Zaikin cited Iran's nuclear ambitions, flaring tensions in the Middle East and a 3-1/2 hour energy crisis simulation at the 2006 annual World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, that showed that terrorist attacks could cause oil prices to rise to more than $120 a barrel.
With Saudi Arabia's infrastructure under constant threat from al Quaeda, the U.S. should look to safer bets, such as Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan, he said.
Russia also looks to be a long-term energy play for the U.S. "Due, in part, to disagreements with Russia (mostly in Iraq), the U.S. continues to overlook the fact that Russia has the largest oil and gas reserves in the world," Mr. Zaikin added.
Other agree.
"We see Russia as the largest producer of crude oil outside of OPEC, and its reserves are quite impressive," said Tina Vital, oil and gas analyst at Standard & Poor's in New York.
LOL- MM manipulation at it's best. They've knocked the price down on only 651K volume. If anything it will make the value of the stock divi less to the company (& to any suckers that would sell at these levels)
Gold up $6.80; most commodities are rising recently-
Oil poised to break $60/bbl again & we are in the dead of winter. Looks like the bull market in commodities is far from over & gold might test $700 soon. It would be great if Aurus solidified some of their production & financial planning by May because this could be a blow-out year for mining cos.
And nice to see you on the big board again pugdog
Hang in there dos- we all know that higher share prices are coming soon.
Good luck on the store opening--
I'm sure he has plenty motives, pennyF, most of which aren't good. But let's take a look at just how much his posts mean from another perspective.
Ibreken likes to chide 2C and other AURC longs about how misguided they are by investing in such a scam. The company has just produced over a million in revenue for their first ore shipment, is well on their way toward major profitability, and has offered a stock divi. The number of posts on this forum is in the tens of thousands and there are a lot of Russian high rollers with an interest in the company.
And just how much clout does a basher like Ibreken have, you may ask? Well go over to his beloved Industrialex board, where there all of 5 posts since Thanksgiving. Half are from Ibreken & the other half from sometimes right, who must have felt really sorry for the moderator. And he brags about how the market cap for the company is at $1M- which is what Aurus has in revenues during the first month of 2007.
What a joke.
That sounds feasible s-right, I just have a problem with an officer with a history of not being timely in meeting deadlines & PR firms that don't do their job. I'm sure their fees don't justify much contact with investors but it would really help our PPS if they transmit the news the company puts out.
Important question for the board--
In light of 2C's discovery that Monimpex and/or Parkin have not been properly disclosing significant information to investors, is it possible that Parkin may be working against the companies' interests intentionally?
There has been plenty of discussions regarding a language barrier or cloak of secrecy surrounding Russian companies in the past, but I personally am more concerned about the Canadian connections. Several of the more prominent bashers on this forum are Canadians who have an interest in mining companies on the Vancouver Exchange-- an organization that is notorious for it's mining company scams. And some of the posts detailing the tactics employed by naked short-sellers make me wonder if AURC has also been a target of these worms.
With the commitment that 2C has shown to fellow investors, I believe that we have enough astute individuals here to find out whether any of these problems, if true, can be investigated & rectified.
2C can do what he wants-- it's too bad that it doesn't quite fit your agenda now ;-P
Thank you for your hard work Mr. & Mrs. 2C- from what you are saying it appears as if some blockbuster PRs are right around the corner...
BTW, have they mentioned anything regarding their production schedule & have either of you had a chance to see the Krong site?
I've also noticed it's Latin for "gold".
Go figure.
Hmmm... if you you have so much integrity, then why would I "need to share a cell with you?" Oh, that's right- all you are doing is "agreeing with me" (funny how you chose to do that when you felt I was being negative about Aurus).
But I realize you are a saint that is all about helping others- as you describe yourself in your bio. And as your ID asks- yes, I am crazy-- for responding to you in the first place.
So I'm done "attacking" you, and don't even bother to reply. Next time don't try to cleverly and conveniently chum up to someone so you can find a buddy to bash with- and let's not forget this unsolicited gem you hit me with a month or so ago-
"JLP76-thanks for that enlightened post.I think all the PRs AURC has released to date, especially over the past 2 months, should serve as a model for all other companies (big and small) to follow. I will work on growing nads if you start showing you have more than that for brains."
Now beat it.
No problem- I know your heart is in the right place.
Ultimately it all boils down to what MMs want to do with this stock right now-- just like all pink sheet stocks. And they seem to be finding sellers at these low levels- those are the suckers I feel sorry for-- but on the positive side many short term traders have become long-term traders and have had ample opportunity to average down.
Better yet- I have 90K free shares coming my way shortly.
Don't worry- unlike you guys I have some integrity. And I appreciate 2C because he is the #1 defense against some of the idiotic bashing I see here- even if he does get a bit paranoid about us fellow Aurus members on occasion.
Hey now-I've been long & strong from day one. In fact there's one tool on this forum that thought you & I were one and the same- so that should give you some idea where I stand
But if you have a better reason for why we are at these ridiculously low PPS levels- do tell. And I have enough resources at my disposal to hold out FOREVER- no matter how much MMs or day-trading wussies whine & cry. But the naked shorting story does get quite old if you ask me.
Hate to say it, but one thing holding back our PPS remains the NWOG situation. Yeah, I know the two are separate entities, but with the old Parkin connection AURC will continue to be undervalued as long as Northwest Oil flounders along.
It will take a blockbuster announcement of massive production, buyout from a major mining company, merger, or the like to really drive us to the promised land. And the buyout debacle and subsequent dilutive announcements from NWOG have brought plenty of skepticism and attention of bashers to Aurusland. In the face of increasing production, a stock divi, and impending audited financials our PPS has gone down & NWOG is the prime reason.
You're right- I missed that one,
but with a 25% net profit, we're still looking at .50. And I don't think that will be the extent of Aurus' earnings since they have announced they will be purchasing additional equipment to increase production
Furthermore, with a P/E of 15- a share price of .134x15= $2/sh.
Nice! (for starters) 8-)
now that's the kind of post I like seeing. When Aurus climbs back over .35 you'll have to change your ID to a more exotic ride-
Great question dos- we all know what the answer is but let's just see how he spins it...
I see our resident bashers have appeared in full force this morning along with a few friends. Watch how they fall silent when Aurus has a run.
Don't these guys ever get bored with themselves? It's the same game day after day.
LMAO spec- maybe we should send some of that Komatsu equip over to his house to start mining his rear-end.
