Thanks...I finally found it by looking at your older posts. It said that it would be through Paypro Travel in January. I assume they will be selling tour vacations or something.
I will probably have her email Mike and try and set something up while she is down there...if she and her boyfriend are still planning to travel to the Boquete area. She is spending Christmas in Panama City. Is there someone else she should look up and try to meet while down there?
She will be in Panama a month.

Kurdish President upset by Iraq Study Group's report:
http://www.iraqupdates.com/p_articles.php/article/12551
A Reuter's Article about the dinar:
BAGHDAD, Dec 11 (Reuters) - Iraq's government expects the dinar to strengthen by 13 percent against the dollar by early 2007 after raising interest rates to limit the use of dollars in the economy and stem inflation, the country's finance minister said.
Minister Bayan Jabor told Reuters on Monday that the government has targeted an exchange rate to reach 1,260 dinars to the dollar in the first three months of 2007 from the current level of 1,500 to the dollar.
The 2007 $41 billion budget assumes an exchange rate of 1,260 dinars to the dollar, he said, adding the cabinet would discuss the draft budget on Saturday before hopefully sending it to parliament next week.
"There is an expected increase in the value of the dinar. The exchange rate is expected to drop from 1,500 dinars to the dollar to 1,260 in early 2007," he said in an interview.
"We will calculate the budget based on 1,260 dinars to the dollar and based on 50 dollars per barrel (of oil) and production of 1.7 million barrels per day.
"The central bank has started increasing the interest rate from 12 percent and it has now reached 16 percent."
Jabor said there were no immediate plans to raise interest rates further. The central bank increased its main interest rate to 16 percent from 12 percent on Nov. 8, according to the bank's Web site.
He said the aim of raising interest rates was to strengthen the dinar to fight dollarisation -- the use of dollars on a daily basis alongside the local dinar currency -- to stem high inflation and boost Iraqis' confidence in the domestic currency.
"It is to fight dollarisation. Every economy that depends on the dollar is considered weak," he said.
"Now I can say that Iraqis should use dinars instead of dollars. When we increase the value of the dinar it will help ease inflation, which is now at 56 percent. We expect inflation will decrease," he said.
Iraq's inflation rate hit 76.6 percent in August.
But sectarian violence is claiming the lives of more than 100 Iraqis a day and threatening to push the country into civil war. The daily violence has scared off foreign investments in the oil rich country.
A recent UN report said there was growing unemployment and poverty rates in Iraq. Corruption is endemic and state owned industries are inefficient. Oil is the main source of revenues but oil sector is suffering from years of mismanagement and violence.
"There is also a psychological factor -- Iraqis need to trust their currency when it is stable or strengthening."
The International Monetary Fund, which has backed Baghdad with a $685 million standby credit agreement, has also warned that rising inflation could undermine economic well-being and hinder the goal of improving the welfare of ordinary Iraqis.
Another problem facing the government is the high rate of unemployment, mainly among the young. Officials say the unemployment rate is between 30 and 40 percent.
Jabor said he was not worried by possible negative consequences of strengthening the dinar because the Central Bank had enough reserves to support the dinar.
"The dinar is strong -- the central bank is one of the best central banks in the region except for those in the Gulf. We have reserves of $15 billion in foreign currency other than gold, and it is only to support the dinar."

Can someone link the post that tells about the CEO's offer for shareholders to go down to Panama and check the place out for 3 days...or something like that. I don't have the search capability.
My daughter is going to Panama for Christmas and may make a trip to the Boquete region with her boyfriend. I would like her to know who to contact. She is a shareholder. Should she go I'll post her experiences.
Response I received from email to TDAmeritrade"
Thank you for your inquiry regarding PYPR. Virtually all corporate mailings are sent out from ADP (Automatic Data Processing). If ADP requests a NOBO list from us, your account is set up to be included on that list.

Kinda like buying a star?
I did a search for Optipure Plasma TV's...came across this from fall 2005:
http://www.nanalyze.com/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=1239&whichpage=4
Didn't find any TV's. I thought they were trying to get them on the market before Christmas?
Ok, thanks...that was my main concern. I need to try not to fall in love with some of my pennies but so many are red that I want to try to hold out for a run.
I am with TDAMTRD, I keep in mind the fee on both sides.
Since METP is one of the few of mine that are moving...and on low volumn, I've been a bit more confident in trying to hold for RM news. If I sell for the profit at this point I am left with 7K shares...I tend to get greedy and then probably have more of a chance to lose. Over on the METP board people keep saying how they are holding. (But I don't know who or what to believe)
I have 500k of BKMP...didn't get in on the divi.
I have a couple of big losers and a couple that I will dump and take a loss before the end of the year. A still have a few that may have potential, I think. I have PYPR, CSKY, a little EZTO, ECFL, PLYFC, CTXI etc...
Thanks for your input, Strong. Thanks also to sparkplug your input too.
Someone (the pink lawyer?) posted something about deciding what kind of trader you are...I need to contemplate that...the most important thing to me is not to be a loser.
A few years ago I just had a few stocks (aside from a few mutual funds) that I was holding long. I still have those three and they are still green but I am not making the kind of money that can be made in making a few good trades in pinkies and small cap. Trying to learn and absorb. (One is 2 shares of BRK.B.) then I went crazy and bought too many pinks and held most longer than I should have...as well as buying a couple of very diluted stocks.
Sorry for the long winded post.
I appreciate yours and other's hard earned experience on many of these boards. I especially like your board, Strongtower.
I have a son about your age, one a few years younger, and a daughter, 24.
I am trying to learn....to avoid having to go out and get a job (we have our own business which is very slow right now)
I would like to keep some and flip some...so far I tend to get to get too hooked on some of these pennies in hopes for greater profits. Whereas I've seen that I could have taken profits and then bought back in later. Also, I probably have far too many of these pennies and most are in the red.
METP....moving without pr/or news...rumor of RM. (because owner Kip has done it before...cleaned up and RM'd a shell).
It has gone up and down a couple of times since I've owned it.
Question: I bought it at .018...it has been at .065 most of the day. What would you do?...a big part of me is wanting to wait to see if it RM's before getting out. (I have 25k shares)...would you try to sell enough to get out the initial investment or wait a bit longer?
Okay, thanks.
METP moving again this morning...Hoping for RM news soon.
So you don't think we need to bother getting some of the dinar in 5000 dinar bills, I guess?
You mean an account at the bank we are using in the U.S. to exchange the currency...not a Warka account...right? I haven't checked my local FL BOA yet. Online, BOA doesn't list Iraq as a country whose currency they exchange. I hope that will change by the time we go to exchange.
METP's been good this week.
So, if we may have to/or it would be best too... exchange only 5000 dinar at a time....and we have 25000 dinar currency..what...are they going to give us change in dinar? Would it make a difference to get money in 5000 dinar denominations? 5000 dinar bills cost more...
Just received a 500K order of dinar from GID...all appear used this time. Hmmm.
I saw on another site that they had deals on used...what will it matter in the long run whether they are new or used?
My son wants me to buy some dinar for him...should I look for and pay a higher price for new?
I could use some extra Christmas money....tempting to sell some but I only have 25k...wish I had a crystal ball...this went up like this then went back down last month...I don't know why it is going up...we have no news/pr right?
I see that too...so what does that mean? Do you know if they were buys or sells? Why did the price jump so much?
Oh, sorry, it was me...I forgot that most other places put the day first and then the month...I usually realize it sooner than this.
Then why does it appear to come from this?:
(Voice of Iraq) - 01-12-2006
The date on that is 1/12/2006.
I hope you are right. Trying to be patient...I am just tired of seeing so much red all around me.
More info about the meeting is wanted here....minutes anyone?
Tell us what the office was like. You met in the office, right?
Nothing like SLJB, right? How was the presentation? Very professional? etc etc....details please.
What about the offer for some shareholders to go down to Panama for 3 days 4 nights or something like that.
Did you see any proof of contracts...canal projects as well as Boquette?
Appears to be moving again.
News?
Do you have a target in mind for PLYCF?
thank you again..
I had forgotten that I had a sell set for .25, so my shares sold yesterday....maybe I should buy back in??? There is a big gap on the bid and ask on TDameritrade...I wonder what price is safe to try to get back in on...or maybe I should wait for sometime after open on Friday?? I am new to all this.
Another question: meaning of bagger? 100, 100's or 1000?
Caught holding the bag?....perpetually in the red or losing all of an investment?
So far, I have invested in too many pinks....all because I got excited after making out okay with LFZA..(actually I sold that a few days too soon)....I had AXTG and sold that too soon too. Most of my other pinks that I bought are in the red....I'm trying to be patient and wait and see if I can catch them on a run; it may be a long wait...so much to learn...
So far, it seems I may be caught holding the bag on lots of them. Time will tell.
Why do you think this is going up...there hasn't been any news in a long time...what has changed and why did it move the other day? I bought at .21....still waiting....
Thanks
Please define MOMO for this newbie here. Is it when a stock moves on PR/news...momentum??
I just bought 1 mil (my first IQD)...wire transfer sent.
Here's hoping...
I wonder how the 4 days 3 nights trip would work...would that be gratis....would they be paying for any of that (doubt it)...would an investor have to own over a certain number of shares ....
Airfare to Panama is not cheap...Boquette is not anywhere near the Panama Canal, correct me if I am wrong...or maybe it is just several hours drive from Panama City. One would probably fly to Panama City then take another flight to David...
Thanks for answering my questions. I did read a lot more after posting so I did eventually get more answers. I appreciate your opinions.
Over on Rolclub, I read that people are starting or planning to start investing on the Iraqi Stock Exchange. So, by opening Iraqi bank accounts that will make it easier to invest on the ISX. WARKA Bank will invest your money in their name on the ISX...but then I read that you have to go there to transfer the stocks back into your own name. I won't be doing that...interesting stuff. HSBC is already over there...I have an account with them already....I wonder if that would make anything easier...GLTA
So, I guess you guys bought through one of the sites you list and didn't bother opening accounta as was suggested on the rolclub site. I see how you can sell IQD back to some or these places. But how is that physically/safely accomplished? You mail them overnight?
Where do you keep these IQD unless in a bank account? I don't get it. Sorry for all the questions but this is all new to me.
Or, if you buy Dinar at one of those sites that sell them and actually get them in hand...how will you exchange then for a good rate when you are ready?
Did you open accounts in the Iraqi Banks as was suggested on the rolclub forum? Warka Bank - USD account and an IQD account?
They now have a Visa card available...is that a debit card? You you can eventually transfer funds back to USD then use the debit card to access those funds? Did you use a wire transfer....or did you buy then some other way. The open an account link on the bank's site didn't work when I clicked on it.
You aren't holding actual cash, right. Sorry, I just started reading about this this evening...I am finding it interesting.
Why don't you go ahead and do it since you have so much experience and know how.
I certainly would be interested in what you may find out from such a visit. I hope you go ASAP...and post photos etc.
I am new to investing in these types of stocks and tend to be susceptible to be emotionally swayed by the pumpers and the bashers. I'd like to know what is actually true. On the face of it the PYPR story sounds good...
The Smart Car is supposed to start selling in the U.S. in 2008. The Micro Car could certainly compete with that and hopefully be at a more attractive price point. I would think it would do well in the Central American market too.
I tried the phone dialer and also found it not to work.
I signed up for the free membership and that TV viewing is ok. The full screen option didn't work for me and the WIFI TV background can be distracting. I hope they will correct those aspects.
I am hoping that membership increases now that it is free.
