NWOL is by far the bigger and better scam. Aurc can't hold a candle to them. More future deals that never quite materialize--a 1:100 rs---a higher priced phony buyout--the share buyback---the unfulfilled dividend--the earlier phony NY office etc etc etc--If only they would have had some phony shareholders meetings, some phony translation problems and some fake documents, they would be almost perfect.
Aside from the fact that it was not a 1:1000 rs, but rather a 1:100 rs, I consider this an excellent post. You are on the ball Mike. Aurc is on the balls of its asterisk.
See tr8dervic's excellent review on his site.
Thank you for taking the time to research this issue although I do take exception to your gratuitous and incorrect statement that "select posters seem to want to redundantly harp on the definition over and over etc.". You are however to be congratulated for composing your post in a basically factual and non-emotional fashion without the usual personal attacks, which is a welcome change from your previously deleted posts.
This serves to confirm my prior posting in connection with the PROBLEM of both VYON and VRED NOT having a Market Maker and thus making it more difficult to trade these stocks because NO MM has any particular interest in maintaining a reasonable spread to encourage trading volume.
It's in a way similar to trying to get down a bet on a sports event without a bookmaker to set the line and to move the line in response to bettors getting down heavily on one side or the other.
DELTA BLUE-
Was that posting that was just recently deleted another one of your personal attacks on me?
You are probably right. What would I know with my phony credentials, and having been banned from the VRED board. On the other hand, the day of the press release, the Dow went up a five year record high of over 400 points.
In fact, according to pinksheets.com neither VYON nor VRED have MM's which probably accounts for the at times huge spreads between bid and asked and for some orders not showing up on L2.
One would have expected the latest press release to have caused an increase in the pps, however, hidden, but unwritten, in the body of the PR would appear to be a hint that the company will likely have to raise additional capital to carry on, which carries with it the implied threat of dilution. I believe that this implied threat is the basis for the failure of VYON to respond as expected to the PR and is probably also the basis for the extended downward trend in its subsidiary VRED.
Bid .01 Asked .015. Catch any falling knives? Potential 20 bagger here.
Possibly NOOIL.
Maybe the MM's just did not want to be bothered with an $18 total order.
Not shorting. Too big a spread to make any sense and in any event would only short it after a PR run-up had IMO run its course.
As to your first question, rarely. I prefer to deal with stocks I dislike because the anecdotal evidence shows there is more to be made faster when everyone tries to get out the door at the same time.
It went up on speculation of a deal being negotiated with Scott or a buyout by Scott either of which it was anticipated was to occur in January. The current price surely indicates that no such deal has or will occur and no evidence other than the drop in price is needed that the Scott deal is dead. Why you feel I did not read your post before responding is beyond me.
You must have missed the drop in price from about 28 cents to four or five cents per share.
He has explained his motivation on more than one occasion. Nothing mysterious about it.
Very astute. Former operations manager of Big Board Member Firm in the sixties.
There may be a dead cat or two around, but one more PR about NWOG PRIVATE and it will sink some more.
wrong board
Bid .015 asked .02 difference .005 divided by .015 is 33%--It is what it is.
With a 33% spread between bid and asked, the company desperately needs an MM to facilitate trading.
If you have a winner today, either you are short or you turned your chart upside down. Sorry---just couldn't resist.
Give it up. NWOL will probably not even be around this time net year if not sooner.
Placing the blame on anyone other than Malyshev is STUPID
When you grow up and discontinue addressing me in such a juvenile fashion, I might consider responding to your questions. In the meantime, keep "LookinForAQuarterCent" before year end.
Please cite post number where you mistakenly thought you read that I was short.
In the first place, nobody said anything about shorting vyon, only VRED.
Secondly, I don't see how it is in my interest to post my trades. I am not really interested in your approval or disapproval of my trading ability or lack of same nor am I particularly interested in some board members following my trades or betting against my trades as the case may be.
Thirdly, your assumption that I do not understand the VRED product is not correct.
Fourthly, as far as your skepticism about my "uncanny ability to short a stock" it doesn't take any special talent to make money shorting a PINKY (since most wind up being failures and many are pump and dumps--), just a healthy degree of skepticism. Since the SEC did awy with the "Uptick Rule" it's now a level playing field. --Again you can check my postings on other boards--it's on the record.
And finally, I would urge you to keep in mind Starnes quote of Sir John Templeton "Bull markets are born on skepticism, mature on optimism and die on euporia" as well as my signature--Bulls & Bears etc.
Cannot respond to your PM's. not a paid member. PM your e-mail and I will contact you in respect of VRED and others.
Regret, not being a paid member, cannot respond to your posts in connection with VRED, but, I can be e-mailed @yahoo.com
Not to worry. I am NOT short at the present time--awaiting a nice goose from a PR before considering shorting again. Anyway, insurance covers the bulk of the cost.
I don't believe you. If you were curious enough to check my postings to other boards, you must have seen that I have been quite correct--for instance--negative on NWOL in the teens and much higher--(called it a SCAM) now trading at less than 0.25 (oh forgot to mention that is 0.25 after a 1 for 100 reverse split) negative on AURC in the teens (called it a SCAM)--recently traded sub-penny--negative on GRYW in the teens and twenties--(did NOT call it a scam) similar in many respects to VRED---last traded at .04.
However, if you did in fact put me on IGNORE, I hope you enjoy the other members postings which I would characterize as "preaching to the choir".
I agree completely, but that's a MOOT point. LOL
Apparently you feel that there is something negative (in addition to the expense) about a person using the services of a psychiatrist. Your's is an archaic point of view. Amongst some of it's benefits, it helps me to put things in perspective and to control some of the frustration I feel when I read some of the nonsense posted by some of the amateur investors on this and other boards.
I disagree completely with your premise that "not many schools have the capability or the resources" of developing their own technology. I am of the opinion that EVERY UNIVERSITY and many colleges have both the resources and capability to develop the technology. Again, developing an alert system, using either or both e-mail and text messaging is NOT quite of the order of magnitude as sending a man to the moon (or even a pinkie TO DA MOON). Any seat of learning which calls itself a UNIVERSITY must have sufficient capability on staff to accomplish this relatively simple task along with bells and whistles comparable if not in fact superior to VRED's technology.
I think that is a distinct possibility. I don't have an axe to grind and would not be averse to VRED trading higher so that I could then make a judgement as to whether and when to short it. I find that pinkies go down a hell of a lot faster than they go up and money is to be made faster on the short side.
If you think the administrators are going to knuckle under to your very thinly veiled threat to leave the board you are sorely mistaken. Contrary to your assertions, some people who read this board appreciate a balanced perspective. Your addressing me as "marky mark" rather than Marks37 or just plain Marks and asserting that I am a "knucklehead" (which by the way violates the TOS although I don't feel the necessity of alerting the powers that be to your personal attack) clearly shows your immaturity. Quite frankly, if my perspective bothers you, you are free to use the "ignore" button and bury your head in the sand. If you are concerned with "negative energy" on the board, try using a little courtesy in your responses to postings that you do not agree with even if you personally think the poster is a "knucklehead" you might try keeping the "negative energy" to yourself. Personal attacks like yours are the very thing that have spoiled other boards. Quite frankly, if you are a man, you should be quick to issue an apology both to myself and to the board in general.
Whether or not the "Goliath" schools will come, is a matter of opinion. My belief is that they are well on their way to developing their own "school crisis management plan" and will not be using outsiders. Setting up a plan incorporating communications is NOT EXACTLY ROCKET SCIENCE.
I question your diagnosis and will seek a second opinion from my shrink.
Your average price is probably higher than .0225 so at this point YOU are the LOSER. Since YOU are "looking for a quarter", YOU are going to continue to be the LOSER and the more you accumulate the more you will lose because you won't sell at the appropriate time.
In all likelihood, anyone who shorted the stock after the run-up has already covered at a nice profit. I will short it at .039 to .044 if it gets up there again. If it breaks .045 and hold it for a day or two, I will cover and take my losses, however I do not expect that to happen and would anticipate covering half of it at .016 and covering the balance at .0025 (that one quarter of a cent-NOT two and a half cents)
In less than ten months, a load of restricted stock becomes unrestricted. In addition, it is likely that the company will issue more stock for working capital over the next few months.
That in my opinion is a significant reason (amongst other reasons) that this stock is NOT going to move up significantly on a "SUSTAINABLE" basis. If it ever gets an MM, it could become a great trading vehicle based on the company's frequent press releases, however without an MM, the spreads are so wide that it is too difficult to day trade.
BTW, your wishes that I put all I have on the short side and get SACKED, seems to indicate some animosity towards me. Be assured, that I have no animosity towards you at all. I do however question why someone with your apparent emotional make up gets involved in the stock market.
Instead of the flipping $20 bills in your signature, why don't you show a picture of a schoolhouse, a surrogates court or a funeral parlor?
Don't act ignorant. We were talking about the HUGE financial impact on the company.
