Moreno was the first Latin artist signed by Madonna for the Maverick Latino label. According to the Recording Industry Association of America, shipments of Latin music grew by 14 percent in 2005. The total suggested list price for the industry was $753.7 million. Wicks has held true so far on his share holder letter so hopefully we really will have acquisitions on or before the years end!
WFWL would be a nice fit for us. Nice find Jersey, I am going to see if I can get any information about them.
I haven't checked the pps in a while, didn't realize it had fallen so low. Hopefully the exposure will lift us from this rut and we can get back where we belong.
SWEET!!! DO we have a picture?
The webite is still down.....maybe this is a good thing!
Is anyone else having difficulty getting on? I get an error message.
I sure hope so!
Perhaps we will be surprised this afternoon with an up and RUNNING e store.
Maybe they are getting the e store ready!
Late August is gone....September is here and the Xmas shopping frenzy marketing will begin end of October and we will be in the throes of it at Turkey day.....
It is time for them to get things MOVING.....enough delays....nice they had a leather skirt on SUPERNOVA but HELLO!! I am a patient person but it is time to see something other than press releases~
Effective January 1, 2003, dividends paid by most corporations are taxable as long-term capital gains. The new 15% and 5% capital gains rate applies to qualified dividends.
Nontaxable distributions can be made in the form of a return of capital or a tax free distribution of additional shares of stock or stock rights. A return of capital is a return of some or all of your investment in the stock of the company. What you paid for the stock is your original basis in the stock. If you received the stock as a gift or as an inheritance, your basis may be different. See IRS Publication 551, Basis of Assets and IRS Publication 550, Investment Income and Expenses. A return of capital reduces the basis of your stock and is not taxed until your basis in the stock is fully recovered. Once the basis of your stock has been reduced to zero, any further return of capital is a capital gain and should be reported on Form 1040
Why would it be an immediate tax consequence to us?
OK.....its September...where is the online store?
PPS going down...no real explanation for that either.
Any thoughts?
LOL.....I like that
I was hoping we would hear about the DIVY today, it doesn't look like that is going to happen.
MOrning everyone. Perhaps today will the day that we get some RWAL NEWS! Here's to hoping.
Did you hear anything about it being on the MTV awards???
That would be KEY!
I just took a look at the Rockstar SUPERNOVA website to see if there was any mention of LYRIC JEANS in the rockstar fashion we section but we are not anywhere to be found.
In all fairness, they may just list the "brands" the performers ion wear but I don't think so.
NOT a mention my friends..that would have been good exposure.
How in the world is this .70?
Morning Happy and fellow HISC'ers! EVSI news is out so maybe just maybe we will hear something today.
GLTA, I am going to continue my rainy extended vacation and lurk during the day!
Hey Gary...when do you think we can expect the dividends?
OT: I was supposed to fly done to Florida today but cancelled my tixs this morning. How is the weather? My Dad says I should have come, he said its not going to be bad! I guess it's like talking to a NY'er about a blizzard!
GLTY stay safe in the storm!
I hope it continues to be unusual!!
Any sort of POSITIVE news would make me feel more comfortable.
I have no problem holding long, and I intend to as I am in the red in a big way and need to get some back ( and then some is the hope)
I hate to say it but we need to be patient, The BOD as you say can be happy about the current situation. They, like us, want this company and the product to be successful.
Moody blew alot of smoke but kept attention on the company, Wicks on the other hand is hopefully playing it close to his chest and will report when all the deals are done! (I pray he not bluffing)
I hope you all have a good night. We are all in similiar positions so it looks like we wait and see.
I think you might be right about the track marks, I just got back from Bermuda and I was hoping to see something positive, but no such luck.
I have been keeping the faith but I am starting to feel like the violins are playing!
We need something BIG and in the very near future or I will have what looks to be a very BIG write off when I get out.
Maybe something will give before the long weekend.
good luck to all.
Turned off as in disconnected?
Perhaps they are moving to better digs, with all our $!
U think we might see a PR today?
Very funny!
Morning everyone!
Perhaps today will be the day for news!
Off to a meeting, have a good day!
OK....explain to me why this company is trading at this level!
I just don't get it!
Congrats on your pr! I understand BA is looking for a few good people...they should get so lucky!
Have a great day!
Any ideas as to why we are taking a plunge???
What new report?
I sent an email to Braxton regarding the opening of the e store.
He emailed me back that he would let me know as soon as the date was confirmed.
I will let you know when I hear from him.
Don't feel lonely...many of us are holding (some even our breath) hopefully we will see some substantial news in the near future!
Has anyone seen this before?
Press Release
Title:S3 AWAREDED 10 YEAR CONTRACT BY PORT OF LA
Date:July 10, 2006
Source:PR Newswire
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Satellite Security Corporation (OTC Bulletin Board: SSCY) and its wholly-owned subsidiary, Satellite Security Systems, Inc. ("S3”), announced today that S3 has been selected by the Port of Los Angeles to provide GlobalGuard™ Electronic Monitoring Units (EMU's) in support of Air Quality Management District clean air programs. S3’s GlobalGuard EMU technology will be used to electronically record diesel-engine run hours on marine vessels and mileage accrual and engine-run hours on land-based vehicles within the Port of Los Angeles region and wirelessly transmit the results back to S3's Monitoring and Support Center. This is S3’s fourth award in as many attempts at supplying both hardware systems and monitoring services to Air Quality Management Districts throughout California.
The Port of Los Angeles is a significant win for S3 in its efforts to support Air Quality Management Districts in their oversight role of mobile source projects funded under California’s Carl Moyer program. GlobalGuard™ EMU’s, equipped with Global Positioning Systems (GPS) will be installed on marine vessels and eventually on land-based diesel engine-driven vehicles operating within the 7,500 acres of land and water comprising the Los Angeles Harbor District. The Port of Los Angeles issued a Request For Proposal (RFP) on March 21, 2006 to solicit bids from qualified GPS vendors. Of all the proposals received by the RFP due date, the Board of Harbor Commissioners evaluated the submissions and selected Satellite Security Systems, Inc. as the winning vendor to provide these services.
Initially, S3 will be outfitting marine vessels on behalf of the Port. The Port has yet to determine the exact number of marine vessels that will be instrumented with EMU/GPS units at the outset of the program. In subsequent years of this ten year contract, the project will grow to include a growing number of land-based vehicles and other port marine vessels annually. As the program currently stands and while there in no guarantee as to the order volumes, S3 estimates that the indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract has a revenue potential of $1.2 million over the term of the award.
Currently, S3 delivers wireless engine data collection services to the Gateway Cities Council of Governments, the Santa Barbara Air Pollution Control District, and the Sacramento Municipal Air Quality Management District– all of which is used to help to verify that fleet modernization programs help to reduce exhaust emissions from heavy-duty vehicles operating in these districts. District members are incentivized to purchase newer, cleaner-burning engine equipment and in return, the GlobalGuard EMU’s will be used to gather information including engine hours and miles traveled by monitored vehicles throughout various air district zones.
John Phillips, Satellite Security Corp’s Chief Executive Officer noted that “S3’s technology and efforts in supporting the air quality programs within the state of California continue to be validated as S3 competes for business in this market segment and is selected to support projects like the Port of LA opportunity. "It is encouraging to see districts throughout California lead the way in implementing these types of air quality programs," said Phillips. "With this fourth award, S3 will look to capitalize on its success in California and begin helping air districts in other states understand what can be done to monitor and account for their respective clean air programs.”
The company notes that while working closely with the various air quality districts, the company continues to improve on its understanding of the needs of each Air District and strives to offer innovative measures to efficiently and accurately gather the information of importance to these air quality agencies.
