PP..I would just be emailing several friends that play the market. I would never use anyones name unless they authorized it. This is in part why I asked if I could use your post.
I'm curious, when you say You should not be emailing people about any stock, are you talking SPAM emails, because I never spam as I HATE SPAM with a purple passion. Or are you referring to something else, and if so, what?
thanks
AT..PP..I found the site, I just need the Decision/Notice/Order.

qbider..please make sure you shrink the pics dimensions down as small as you can get them and still viewable and save as JPEG's. thanks
PP...Great Post..can I use this in emails I send to potential shareholders?
Thanks Harry..That's my story and I'm sticking to it:
It's not stupid, it's betting on the future
kraig..Me too..that's how I found it, BUT, for the type of investor I was talking about, they would never find it. IMHO
OT..XKEM..I bought that it seems like 6 years ago. After an R/S and name change, I have 1 share left I paid $500 for. Good thing that was all I invested. I had so many like this I had to be very judicious in which ones I bought back into to cut my losses. For some reason back then this wasn't one of them.
OT: TinaMarie..lol That's my next alias "learnedfrommistakes". lol
OT: Tina Marie..If you knew how much $$$ I lost in 2000-2001 timeframe you would call me stupid idiot investor too.
Clarification of Post..I must not have made myself very clear when I posted # 102355 http://www.investorshub.com/boards/read_msg.asp?message_id=11918511.
I said at the bottom of that post why I was asking:
The only reason I am asking is this: I live in the States, and I have talked to a lot of people who have heard of The Fight Network, but have never heard of Blackout Media. Of course I made sure they know now. It seems to me that there is a whole different type of investor that could be buying BKMP. The one that isn't as serious as us that buys based on products they buy or use, may not do a lot of DD, may still use a broker and might buy if they knew it existed.
I was not asking for myself, but it was a general question thinking of those people that might just go to the TFN website and might buy BKMP just based on the fact that the like the TFN. Believe it or not there are a TON of people that invest in the stock market that do very little if any DD and only do so "based on products they buy or use". The TFN being the Product in this case.
This was meant to be more of a, "Hey, what can we as BKMP investors do to get this type of investor to buy BKMP?".
sorry for the confusion, I am stupid ya know
PP..Not to take away from your help to howaboot, but new investors new to this board should see all that in the board info when they first join, right?
thanks yolo..got that from AT
UW..I'm not questioning whether Sandy is involved in TFN. I KNOW he is. I didn't make my intent of that post clear. Read my reply to AnalyzeThis # 102334
http://www.investorshub.com/boards/read_msg.asp?message_id=11919239
Thanks AT..But, I don't think I made the intent of my post clear enough. It wasn't for me, but the other type of investor I mentioned.
1) I said anywhere on the TFN Website, not financials on Yahoo. As part of my own DD, I've read just about every PR, but the type of investor I mentioned may not.
2) Great.. I'm running 1280X1024 on a 19" LCD so I didn't see the reference to Blackout Media nor had I ever put the mouse over the Copyright.
3) Thanks again. Can you point me in the right direction where I can get ahold of the CTRC Regs in Canada (so I don't have to search thru the 100's of hits I got)? Have you read them? if so, can you tell me the specific article or notice the directly references what I asked in my question?
thanks AT
BKMP Questions.....
I don't get to be on this board much, so hopefully these questions haven't already been addressed.
1) Besides the gallery, is there anywhere else on the TFN website that Sandy is referenced?
2) Is there anywhere on the TFN website that Blackout Media is referenced directly?
3) Is there a legal issue why Blackout Media can't have more of a presence on the TFN Website, since Sandy is Chairman of TFN and CEO of BKMP?
The only reason I am asking is this: I live in the States, and I have talked to a lot of people who have heard of The Fight Network, but have never heard of Blackout Media. Of course I made sure they know now. It seems to me that there is a whole different type of investor that could be buying BKMP. The one that isn't as serious as us that buys based on products they buy or use, may not do a lot of DD, may still use a broker and might buy if they knew it existed.
Thoughts...
Status of Website? Anybody know? eom.
steveb-thnx..Also, Why doesnt BKMP pay Ameritrade to have it's level II data. That is how it is done, isn't it? A company has to pay the different services to keep track of their L2?
I only say this because when you get a quote on PinkSheets.com, it has the question "Want real-time level II quotes for this security?" and when you click on the link it takes you to a page that talks about investors getting the company to pay for this so you can view them free. I would think BKMP could afford PinkSheets.com rates. Ameritrades must be pretty high, because that DON'T have a lot of L2's.
Level II sites? What all sites provide realtime level II with depth on BKMP? Are there any?

red..Also, on the reduction of A/S, I'd have to go back and check to see if any of mine did anything like this to be a valid comparison to what you are proposing.
All I know is every time I here Reverse anything with a penny with a PPS like this, I cringe. My stock mentor taught me to buy back in after the split, after waiting for the pull back, to cut my losses and then ride the wave. Only thing is, the wave never came for me. Oh, I'd buy back in, but in a short time, the PPS would be back to where it was and the company would declare bankruptcy, or they would R/S again, and I'd do it again. All I did was increase my losses, not cut them.
Anymore, on a stock like this, with the price being less than .001, if the company announces a R/S, I sell as soon as I can beore the split, to CUT MY LOSSES.
PCLO is the my most recent one, and it should be back to pre split prices very soon. Lucky I sold a bunch right after the split, so I was fortunate to be able to cut my losses on it.
Of Course, all this is IMSO. (In My STUPID Opinion).
red..IMHO In theory, you are correct, BUT, and this is a big BUT, in my experience with penny stocks is that eventually the price ends up coming back down to the same level it was at before the R/S. I'm sure there are exceptions, but I've been through probably over 50 with pennies and not once has it be a good thing.
With larger companies or companies with a decent share price to begin with, they can usually sustain they split and are usually doing it for the same reasons, but it seems to pay off more than not.
Now I'm sure there are some people out there that will disagree with everything I said and say the opposite and that is their right, but I challenge them to point out the PENNY stocks that were below .001 or even just below .01, did a reverse split and the PPS went up and everyone made a lot of money and I bet for every one they list, I can list two that did what I said.
Of course:
Okie Dokie. eom.
asdfghj..Not to speak for JimB, and maybe there is some history here that I don't know about, like maybe Jim kicked someone off the PAIM board and then went to RB to bash him, but I don't think he concerns himself with posters like 4_better_or_worse who has only been a member on RB since Apr 2006, which means he/she probably has multiple aliases, which could mean multiple things, one being he doesn't want anyone to know who he is, because he is everything that he called Jim in that post.
Jim on the other hand has been a member of RB since Apr 2003 and of IHub since Apr 2000 and makes no attempt to hide who he is and provides us with very helpful information and will engage in intelligent conversations about the stock and/or company.
Who you gonna listen to?
Sorry Jim if I stole your thunder.
OT:Harry...caption: Where's Achhmed ?
Aussie...I don't know about anyone else, but for me it's called "Short Term Memory Loss". :^)
For some I think it's because there is so much terminology in the stock game and some people say potato while others say potAto and some people get confused. I know I do sometimes. Sometimes after I type a post or write before I hit submit, I realize I already know the answer and hit cancel.
I'm sure for others that rely totally on msg boards, if they don't keep up everyday, or at least go back and read what they have missed, they don't know what is going on. On some boards it could take you all day to read what you've missed if you don't keep up. Of course, this is nothing you don't already know.
For me, I need to use search more. I don't get to spend much time on the boards, real busy with work stuff, so sometimes I get lazy and rather than search for it, I know if I ask a question there are specific people on the board, like JimB on this one, that if on will give a quick answer or point in the right direction. This is one of my flaws I need to work on.
sorry for the rambling. I'm done now.
RB..LOL...Don't even use it anymore since I found IHUB. Oh, maybe once in awhile, but not much.
JimB....Bingo. Like me. eom.
asdfghj...Before I bought into PAIM, I read a lot of posts and did my own DD. I buy into stocks that might be scams, but not for the long term. Been there done that. I'm thinking there is a pretty darn good chance PAIM is a vapor company, but you can make money on scam stocks, as long as you sell at the right time. Of course, thats not telling you anything you probably didn't know already. Unfortunately, I've learned the hard way over the years.
Okie Dokie thanks. Hopefully once this buyback is done and the hold is lifted, the price will go up and we can sell what we have left in tradeable shares and make back our money then sit and wait to see in what happens.
When the buyback is done, do you think they will retire all or a portion of the 90%. That would be great wouldn't it, reduce the O/S by 90%. I would think they would have to do something or will be back in the same boat in a matter of time, like you said.
JimB..Was asking if the 90% would be added to the already existing preferred PAIM shares in my account that I can't sell. The ones we got here a while back.
JimB...Yes, I've gotten Corporate Actions before, just don't remember seeing one on this, but I could have missed it.
So, then if a person owned 10,000,000 shares, they will get 9,000,000 in the 5-year convertible debenture. Isn't that what we got before ? Is so, will they just add it to that.
Thanks for the tip on talking to Ameritrade. I'll remember that.
Just got off phone with Ameritrade, here is what the Ameritrade Rep told me.
The company (Pearl) is buying back 90% of the stock. So, if you own 1,000,000 shares, they are buying 900,000 of them, which will leave you with 100,000. I asked if they were doing a reverse split and he said NO. I asked him what price they are buying the shares back at. He said he didn't know, but that they are giving us some sort of compensation for the shares they are buying, but he didn't know what.
He said since they (Ameritrade) didn't really have enough info on what was going on, they (Ameritrade) put a hold on all Sell orders so that they didn't have to do reconciling later (Like what happended with JPHC and PAIV. <--- he didn't say this, it is my speculation).
The preferred/restricted shares we have he said will not be affected by this.
So, I hope the Ameritrade rep is correct, and if he is then we'll at least get something for our shares. It might be a Pearl Asian Mining tee shirt (<-- me again), but it will be something.
Hope this helps. GLTA.
digiwench...It tells you in the Read the FAQ link that is on the Compose page below the text edit box
Realtor....Details please, thanks. eom
JTSK??? Can't get quote on that or PCLO. What's up with this?
