adam feuerstein - anyone remember this joker?
Well he's now turned his attention to GNTA and he's on the Yahoo site "nicely" trying to bang that company.
This guy is a pathetic creature - any one here still working for him?
Is Cassandra aka FactorFicton aka TruthorFiction?
To all-Happy TG Day - I've been busy and off the boards for some time (but still holding and buying more)--I certainly hope we see the upswing continue so that we move into a good and stong PPS and then finally get onto NAZ where we can flourish and grow both as a stock (with good PPS) and as a company.
See you all in continued "green" land.

I talked with Robert on Thursday and among other things we
discussed the prospects of our strategic partners. Note plural. The way I see it there is
more than one strategic partner involved here. One of the partners will definitely provide
the support services, fullfillment & warranty, that has already been aluded to on these
boards. What isn't apparent is the scale required to provide these services. Judging
from the conversation, Many OEM's will avail themselves of this service. Robert talked
about how many OEM's were cutting back in these areas and would avail themselves of
these services. He said, ''All the OEM's would have to do is brand and market'' In order
to make this happen a significant service provider will have to partner with us.
Someone that already is in the business.
Should the Intel / Eastech contract involve our player designs, they would still require the
service / fulfillment services of an outside source. They are not in that business and
probably wouldn't enter it if there wasn't an infrastructure to handle it.
I believe this is true of other significant OEM's. Once upon a time we heard the name
Nike bantered about as a prospective OEM. I'm not suggesting that they are, only using
them as an example of a company with a brand name & marketing ability without the
support infrastructure to make it happen. Think about Dataplay. When that happens and
the lion share of OEM's contract our designs, most will need the support infrastructure
to enable it.
I believe there are OEM's we are working with that are waiting for the mechanism to
unfold before they announce. I believe some have not ventured into the hardware arena
before but will require devices to enable their business plan to move forward. I'll go you
one step further, I believe the current quarter will be the first profitable one and Fred will
provide us with insights in his proxy letter, in the next three weeks.
Lately I haven't been responding to any posts, but your suggestion was so provocative I
could't contain myself. Based on my own DD I'm convinced we'll see contract bearing
announcements in the next 3 weeks.

Anyone discuss the issue of "buffer size" and mini- hard drives for the jukeboxes with RP and how that "might" impact the Treo, but not other JBs?
JQ-I spoke with RP after receiving that reply.
Suffice it to say, if anyone sells before 9/21 (and I believe that we will know more before then, too) well they will miss out, big time--all, of course, IHMO
I sent a note to RP asking him to comment on your post. If I receive a reply, I will post it ASAP.

The new OS will be officially launched as Pocket PC 2002 on Sept. 6. Wonder what else will be announced??

Packers, let's just hope that this is a real timeline.
If so, good news soon :>)
Anything from Plug-In?
SGE
I tend to agree that it was selling due to both down day and lack of news from Plugin.
Some apparently just wanted out at any $$, so they took their lumps and limped home.
I'd rather go for broke then give up, personally.
I have time and I can wait.
Lucky me :>)
Anyone, care to hazard an opinion/guess why the stock is down today on low vol?
Tin-I bought one (for $215.00 @ Frys) for my middle son and it works just fine, for now.
It was an interim purchase and since it works with a Mac (seen as just another hard drive) it fits the bill for MP3s and for songs he rips from his CD collection.
Thank you and yes indeed there are a number of them :>)

2001; Fourth Annual Conference Played Host to Some of the Industry's
Latest Devices
SAN DIEGO, July 17 /PRNewswire/ -- Highlighting some of the successes of
the country's foremost conference relating to digital music technology,
MP3.com, Inc. (Nasdaq: MPPP - news), today recognized MP3 Summit 2001
attendees and sponsors who displayed cutting-edge tech toys and tools at
the two-day event.
With the theme ``Mobilizing Your Music,'' the Fourth Annual MP3 Summit was
held in San Diego on July 12 and 13. A webcast of featured panels and
speakers from the event is scheduled to be available for viewing by the
public at www.mp3.com/summit beginning early next week. To read an overview
of the panels held and products displayed at the MP3 Summit 2001, visit
www.mp3.com/summit_news.
Acknowledged Products and Displays at the MP3 Summit 2001 are:
Best Car MP3 Player: The Visteon MACH MP3 Music System combines a
state-of-the-art MP3 player with a traditional CD radio, allowing customers
to play more than 10 hours of MP3 music files in their car without
repeating tunes. Another in-car audio jukebox that received honorable
mention is the NEO Car Jukebox, as it stores more than 9,000 songs, all
with instant access.
Best MP3 Player Software: Premium Listener Service (PLuS(TM)) allows users
to access and play more than 1 million songs on MP3.com (www.mp3.com), in
addition to the music in individual My.MP3(TM) accounts without browsing
web pages. PLuS is engineered to allow users to burn custom playlists to
CDs in standard wave and MP3 formats, all with one click. Users can create
personalized playlists with efficient drag-and-drop functionality. The
Transfer2Device feature is designed to let users create playlists and load
them to several supported MP3 players. PLuS also comes with an advanced
search tool to enable easy music searches. To find out more, visit
www.mp3.com/premiumlistener.

of California, San Diego, attracting audio and car enthusiast alike.
Best Overall Portable MP3 Player: Treo Digital Music Jukebox. MP3 Summit
2001 attendees found the Treo to be the smallest and lightest hard-drive
based player, at only 8 ounces with batteries. The Treo is manufactured by
Hy-Tek Mfg. and designed by e.Digital.
Best MP3 CD Player: The Echo XE5-Keeper, with its CD burning capabilities,
is easy to use, light and popular with today's digital music crowd.
People's Choice Player: The MP3 Listening Station tallied Summit attendees'
opinions on players and the Rio 800 (www.mp3.com/rio800) emerged as the MP3
Summit 2001 winner.
New Technology Platforms Displayed: In addition to new products, new
platforms were on display at the MP3 Summit 2001. The MP3 CD platform, the
newest kid on the block, offers users the capability of storing
approximately 10 hours of music on one disk, instead of one hour of music
on a standard disk. QUALCOMM's Binary Runtime Environment for Wireless(TM)
(BREW(TM)), an applications platform for wireless devices, also turned
heads at the MP3 Summit 2001. The BREW platform benefits manufacturers by
shortening their time to market and allowing them to differentiate their
products easily with custom applications.
Delegates from around the world attended the Fourth Annual MP3 Summit. MP3
Summit 2001's sponsors included Visteon, QUALCOMM and others.
