DWTI play tomorrow?? Anyone looking at WTI covering (57.25-58.25) tomorrow then bouncing off main trend-line? Looks like a good DWTI flip to UWTI play for the day.

Would be even less... I have tracked with Excel, taking quotes as they relate to the price of WTI. It was losing 5-7 cents each time it went up or back down to a certain WTI price within a few days/week. I also had a forecast column that did exactly what you mentioned, percent change in oil, X3 for uwti price. That number also came up several cents short and what was worse, it got progressively worse as it went up, even in this last run from lower 50s to upper 50s. My forecast column was over by almost 50 cents. For those who haven't read it, take a look at the prospectus, a long term investment in this vehicle is expected to go to zero. It is for very short-term trading, days, a week or so. When WTI will head towards 70ish, UWTI will be in the $5 range, unless it is a very quick rise because of a geo-political event (Iran bombed, wells on fire, etc), in days. IMO, although the data supports it.

Yep, trend will be close to 55 by end of week so unless that bar from the 15th gets covered (partial?) tomorrow, probably won't happen.

No doubt!! but jumped on uwti as soon as oil started spiking this morning, then jumped off and joined the darkside when it stalled for the rest of the day. Looks to be sticking to down trend from 58.40ish. Personally have only held DWTI once overnight and will exit before EOD.

Correction, well, I was in DWTI, just got stopped out again for a couple bucks on that spike.

Roger, was in yesterday but when it started run towards 57 got stopped out. When it spiked above 57 loaded dwti back up for WTI decline today, ... and prayed for another war not to break out over night :)

Will certainly be fun to trade and watch but although I chart as well, I personally believe the decay skews the gaps and renders that analysis a crap-shoot, but we will know for sure in a few months. I'm hoping you're right but my own tracking of the up and down moves over the last 4 months show a definite and significant reduction in the price of UWTI as it relates to WTI. Agree completely in the case of a quick rise in price, which will take a geo-political event, ie Israel & Saudis hitting Iran, but a somewhat steady rise to say $75 will not yield the return in UWTI that many are hoping for, IMO.

That being said, really enjoy reading the posts from this board. We all should wish Peasodos well but he has to be hurting at this point.

No chance UWTI hits $8 w/out a middle-east war, which could certainly happen. WTI moving slow and steady over next few months to $70ish, UWTI will probably be under $5 for sure.

Anyone else selling here? Have a SL in at 3.24 for 45K shs. A few weeks ago, we'd been above 4 at this point.
