I think we got halted. ;) (SARCASM)
Kudos for creativity. Definately taking a page out of the OGs book.
I'm in Canada with Questrade. $10 per trade for me.
I was absolutely convinced that Tweed/Bedrocan was going to make my family wealthy but didn't drop the news to my wife that a good chunk of our savings was invested in the Hersey Plant until I was closer to break even. ;) After explaining why to her she encouraged me to go all in.
His M.O. might be just to rile people up. Best to ignore drivepact. I think he wins when we reply.
...and Canopy shares are at $64+ today and CMED is delisted. Chat again in 3 years or so.
CMED was $11.73 in April 2017 and $11.50 six months later. Thanks though.
PS Canopy was $10 back in those days.
Yes it was and still is real money.
Still waiting on your tips Dogger. It's been almost 3 years.

Thanks
Unable to listen to the conference call until lunch time. Anyone care to share major highlights?
Agree Dorothy. Shorts seem to be trying really hard to spin this. I think they are shorting in their pants this morning. The old "they're burning too much money" argument doesn't work anymore. The market knows they are a growing company and they exceeded expectations. In addition to market share, IP, international connections etc. let's not forget a war chest of billions that other LPs would kill for. A news drop would be icing on the cake.
I think that means something good. I'm feeling pretty good myself though so maybe overexcited. Going to bed... Dreaming that the fins will be secondary to whatever news drops tomorrow.
I was just going to post that. What does that mean? Is something more newsworthy happening tomorrow on the call?
:) Nice.
That's the conference call to discuss.
Not expected until after 8 est.
Haha!
That's a category I'm not ready for yet ;)
True. But I'm into the hype today. Feeling pretty good about this.
DNA Lemon for me. ;)
Oh man...I don't want to wait 'till 8 PM.
I'd ask for payment up front. They might be broke by then and try to pull the dine 'n dash.
Have a feeling they might bolt for it tonight after hours unless you evict them first.
I took a bite this morning. Relatively tiny position compared to my other holdings. Here for a good time and a long time I think.
Thanks for the tip. Will think about.
In a move to get more clarity on what medical marijuana is, the European Parliament passed a resolution Wednesday calling on the European Commission and EU countries to provide a legal definition and draw a clear distinction between cannabis-based medicines approved by regulatory bodies, MMJ not supported by clinical trials and other applications of the plant.
The patchwork of regulations in Europe has been one of the main challenges for firms trying to expand into different markets.
The resolution “emphasizes the need for the standardization and unification of products containing cannabis-based medicines.”
Read the full resolution here.
?
The resolution also calls on the commission and national authorities “to address the regulatory, financial and cultural barriers” that have been hindering scientific research.
It also “stresses the importance of close cooperation and coordination with the World Health Organization.”
The WHO recently recommended the United Nations Commission on Narcotic Drugs to reschedule cannabis.
More calls to action by the commission include efforts to:
“Establish a network (…) to ensure effective implementation of the strategy for cannabis-based medicines.”
“Provide medical professionals with proper medical training.”
“Improve equal access to cannabis-based medicines.”
“Ensure sufficient availability of cannabis-based medicines.”
“Ensure that safe and controlled cannabis used for medicinal purposes can only be in the form of cannabis-derived products that have gone through clinical trials, regulatory assessment and approval.”
The resolution was viewed as a “significant step” by Marie Sanchez, a Paris-based attorney.
In an interview with Marijuana Business Daily, Sanchez noted that this should foster “a more harmonized regulation on medical cannabis.”
But immediate change by member states is not expected because the measure is a call to action, not a binding resolution.
Sanchez said the Parliament-requested clarification would still be useful for “lobbyists and NGOs that advocate for a harmonized legal framework for the medical use of cannabis and cannabis-derived products as a means to remind reluctant member states that they belong to the global EU system and, as such, should take relevant measures to provide equal access to patients.”

Canopy Rivers Inc (OTC: CNPOF), the investment platform of Canopy Growth Corp., announced the completion of a $1- million financing in Canapar Corp, the Canadian parent corporation of Canapar SrL.
Italy-based Canapar SrL is a manufacturer and processor of CBD oil and isolates and is playing an important role in meeting the increasing demands of the European CBD and hemp markets. The company is also developing and commercializing CBD-infused cosmetics, skincare and beauty products for the Italian cosmetics market — the fourth-largest such market in Europe — and for the global market, which covets “made in Italy” brands.
“The Italian and European cannabis market landscape is undergoing dramatic change, and European demand for CBD has exploded based on the growing belief of CBD’s positive health effects. This investment allows Canopy Rivers through Canapar to capitalize on this untapped opportunity and penetrate one of the five largest cannabis markets in Europe,” said Canopy Rivers President Narbe Alexandrian.

I take it the green might be a good sign going into earnings.
Wells Fargo gushes on Constellation-Canopy Growth potential
Wells Fargo analyst Bonnie Herzog issues a positive update on the cannabis investment by Constellations Brands (NYSE:STZ) in Canopy Growth (NYSE:CGC) after attending the Aurora Cannabis Investor Day event in Alberta, Canada yesterday.
"We believe STZ's decision to get in cannabis early & with CGC was the right one given the broad upward trajectory of the global oppty, in our view, which will surely favor some players over others," writes Herzog. "We believe CGC/STZ will become a force in high margin consumables (i.e., cannabis bevs)," she adds. Herzog was convinced after hearing Aurora Cannis management highlight the huge global market potential it sees for cannabis.
Herzog and team assign a price target of $235 to Constellation, which works out to 15.6X the 2020 EV/EBITDA estimate and a 21.0X forward price-to-earnings ratio.

Welcome to the club Sailor. I know you prefer the seas but I'm sure your boat can handle the River! ;) Good fishin' too.
To the same as you. We mostly get bought out at a nice premium but it could easily go the other way as well. Either way, we win!
Tsx venture in Canada. What Piper said if in US.
Look into it Sailor. These days I hold equal position in RIV, WEED, and STZ. Out of the three I think Rivers has the best chance at multiple baggers in the short/medium range.
FAH is probably the one who moved the pps ;)
Dude. You have been in since the beginning and have an incredible amount of $ invested in it. Pretty amazing that you have never sold one share. It'll definitely go up (and down) but trust me you won't regret it. I'm as confident in the future of Canopy as I have ever been but I have sold shares to pay off debt, buy vehicles, pay for trips, give to charity, create a dividend portfolio etc. After all, that's one of the main reasons we invested in the first place right?
I agree... It's one thing to watch the value of your portfolio fluctuate hundreds and thousands dollars per day... It's another when it is hundreds of thousands.
Sure, I still wish I had 33,000 shares but I sleep more better with a little less. And when Canopy and/or you have power you can always add back.
Congrats Fah!
