Yeah but the place that's open all night is named different. I guess same fam but different name is what I was told last night.
All I know is... it was amazing.
Oh just delayed in Rochester now. Supposed to jump on a 6am but now that's turned into 10am. Plane literally sitting at my gate since 5am...
Craving a fkin garbage plate!!! I did the math and it's been almost 12 years since I had one. I should have grabbed one last night apparently a place open all night. Had to be the one I visited at 3 am high and drunk 12 yrs ago. Hahaha
https://www.inverse.com/article/29565-quit-smoking-money-incentive
This is hilarious.
These poor, not as affluent, highly nicotine dependent, pregnant women (surely not self inflicted at all...nooooo) even after getting free money STILL couldn't muster the courage to quit for their own flesh and blood growing inside of them.
Is it the nicotine? Is it the cigarettes? Or is it stupid people?
Shove a VLN in their mouth and STFU.
I figured I'd see you chime in here. Yup was anatabine. My how the dots connect...
We do need those stupid people with 0 self control though. It's like being in a bike race right behind the lead pack the entire time until one goes down. Then they all go down and you coast to the finish ;)
Hand to mouth! Cig's, food, pills, beer. Vices to get through the days.
In general people would not drink soda if it didn't have some kind of sweetener.
That's why we don't see "enjoy carbonated water" at least 5 times a day.
Agreed. I always go back to your low all beer example. It makes sense. But you gotta be a special stupid or have zilch self control to chain smoke a VLN.
Agreed! Henry isn't dumb. I would imagine today's PR was part of the plan. What dummy traders are gonna get caught...
Thank you for posting btw
Fact except for...it is risk. There's an opportunity cost still associated with what he did.
And as you noted, shares increased.
Where is my Bullish button.
Lots more risk in this one IMO. But I'm in both so all is good!
Pretty sure big mouth perker said he's retiring. Perker is good for something. Not so good on calling stock prices ;)
He could have bought a new car or invested elsewhere. He didn't. Yeah I'm sure a guy his age just wants to lose $75k or have it sit there stagnant.
I don't know how one could skew it as being a negative tho...
Not too too late to turn back!
His input about MRTP timing is very direct and specific. He doesn't know any more than anyone else does.
I would take his timelines with a grain of salt.
Glad to see you posting again! Long time no post
Yeah when I saw it get knocked from 1.35 I knew it was at top for the day.
Looks like lots of pressure at 1.35
WRONG. ;)
Or when PRs/news trounces any technicals. That's two PRs these past two Wednesday's. How many more to come? TA can't predict PR impact.
It's funny when someone doesn't follow their own suggestions.
Any kind of monetary deal with a big tobacco company or hemp company will raise the stock price.
Reran my numbers. I don't need much to be happy.
You and I both make a lot of money regardless eh?
BAT deal holding them down imo. Key patents are exclusive to BAT. Henry wasn't driving then.
Who do you sell tech to when your key patents are locked down?
Agreed, now the real question is whether hemp can be used for other products effectively and efficiently over non hemp products. I don't know enough about it really.
It would be nice to know but feel it may be erroneous. The gist I got was that farmers don't try to do hemp because of the FEAR of having to destroy their entire crop because one small portion of crop yielded over the .03% THC.
So looking at the frequency of how often it happens wouldn't tell you much demand wise. But maybe I'm not thinking about it correctly.
Agree with your last sentence... A lock on information for that long seems like a mockery to the whole "public company" thang.
And your the one who thought people smoked for the taste and not the nicotine satisfaction.
Don't even have to read between any lines to know that one.
Sounds good. Ignoring...starting now ;)
Someone mentioned it had to do with the University of VA research after they reached out to the company. I believe xxii worked with University of VA on tobacco and that research is still ongoing or recently ended.
Of course as we all know xxii is collaborating with UVA on hemp too.
Your big hang up is you think VLN is all they have to offer. Why are you thinking so 2 dimensional?
BAT largely interested in high nicotine tobacco per public court documents. I don't know about you but if BAT licenses out their High Nicotine tobacco I will make a "handsome" profit.
You ask "why hasn't anyone licensed yet" but you're failing to acknowledge that right now, BAT and XXII are the only ones allowed to have the keys to the bread and butter patents for tobacco. Why does BAT have to move fast? Did they move fast to Vuse? No they were LAST out into the market (for the big guys)... But guess who the leader in ecigs are right now? Yes that's right -- vuse. So again, what's the hurry if they have the patents locked down until Oct 1 of this year? Why show their cards now and make moves when PM has a modified risk IQOS application recently submitted or when the mom and pop vape cos are still crying because the FDA gave Vape on a silver platter to Big T and want the rule changed?
I've said it a million times, but VLN isn't a silver bullet. Did it not prove in studies to be a little more effective than gum cessation? Doesn't RJR and BAT own cessation products? You're telling the board here that Big Tobacco would be against a product that MAY help smokers quit (a little better than gum) but probably won't according to the statistics. Sounds like a product Big T and FDA can reach across the aisle on to me, or at least a product that can be used as leverage so the each entity can get what they want. It's a give/take relationship with FDA/Big T.
Let's just go back to high nicotine a second. BAT WAS doing this through genetic modification already 10-20 yrs ago but they got their hand slapped.
It's not just product differentiation but I could fathom there would be a lot of cost savings utilizing it too. Less tobacco leaf would need to be used when making any combustible. Cheaper raw materials could be used. Less growers utilized, less logistics, I'm sure I'm not even thinking about some. To the same point, a VLN could be used to mix into tobacco blends to create less intense nicotine combustibles.
Did you happen to catch where it was mentioned that BATs Voke, which is a legit cessation aid in Europe, uses the same nicotine content as VLN cig?
Couple that with documents and facts stating PM tried to do a VLN and felt there was money to be made in marketing a product to the "I want to quit" crowd.
Do a bit more reading and digging, then think through it. So many ways to make $$ here but until BAT does something by Oct 1 or loses the ability to use those patents we won't see it.
I said it once already to you, but to me, your posts are almost borderline misleading. I would advise anyone else holding or considering buying to research anything I listed above. I'm sure there's more out there that contradicts what you're posting.
Well that would go against a lot of what Henry said...considering he said High Nicotine is wanted by all the big guys.
Frustrating as heck but things don't move very fast in tobacco land. Example: I heard the PM/Nat Sherman acquisition took over a year to complete. For measly Nat Sherman.
Chess not checkers
I don't know about you guys but IMO im confident we will get some PR this year that will make us some money. If your already holding significant # of shares that would make you decent money with a 2.50 share price, why not just hold until at least Oct 1 of this year. I could be wrong, but I just don't see BAT not licensing the tech. Going back to what Henry said on the recent CC, if BAT doesn't commercialize by Oct 1, then another company can.
I'm looking forward to making Wall Street pay me another $150k in 2017. But this time I'll be paying 15% instead of 30% tax.
I keep 20k xxii shares in a retirement account for the inevitable buyout that will happen.
I don't understand how people are completely missing the Heat Not Burn opportunity that is lying at XXIIs feet. Read the headlines. The 3 bigs are insanely focused on it. PM pushing so hard and early, I have to wonder it's because they know BAT has an edge via RJRs patented tech, then perhaps because BAT has xxii tech locked down. Regardless PM is pushing for MRTP for IQOS which will be a huge edge for them. Is BAT going to sit around and just take that? Is PM going to sit idle and let a tech like high nicotine pass them by?
One of them won't...in regards to Heat Not Burn...aka No Burn (I like that better).
All my opinion. I think we are within 6-7 months if not sooner to making some nice money here. I'll take handsome money too.
BAT - heat not burn.
Waiting...waiting.
I know more than a couple tobacco industry ppl who have made investments in xxii. Obviously they aren't ignorant to the power of the tech.
Waiting....waiting...
A regurgitation of a PR sounds like a reason to boost the price so cronies can get out.
Nothing to get excited about imo.
Cashmoo "I sold out of this stock before the drop"
LOL NO YA DIDNT. YOU WOULDNT BE SO BUTTHURT IF YOU DIDNT.
Cashmoo = a man acting like a woman online. FREAK
Yeah it's gonna go back up....NOT haha
Cashmoo and Shadowplay lost biggggg on this today. LOL.
Not sure. Data results in the next month tho. that's why I'm here. And because 40m ppl struggle with acne and I was on 5 courses of Accutane as a lad.
Got another 10k shares in just before we left the 45 cent range for 30k total shares. I want minimum 10k profit here. Should happen easily over next couple weeks. Glta
Lol. "Maybe if we will extend the call an extra hour and answer all their questions, they will give us money that we don't deserve yet"
