Sons1, every user counts. Can you try using Firefox? It may be more efficient than IE. Download from www.mozilla.org if you need to install it.
The Downgrading message is not an error, just an adjustment of the software. Give Destiny a couple of days to work out other issues.
They have been updated this week several times.
Since the December release, the messages have changed among other things. The Downgrading, slow cpu message is the biggest change from the earlier - Connection speed is bad/good/OK.
The highest quality videos play if the speed is above 2Mbps generally. I think the video image is downgraded 1 or 2 levels for slower connections. When I run the the PlayMPE video on my 1.5Mbps connection I get one or two Downgrading messages, but the video runs great after that.
The jump video has given me a stop script error today when it did not yesterday. Destiny has to fix that issue.
Sons1, I have been discussing the speed adjustment of the videos with Steve.
You have to connect to the internet through a gateway box with a wireless antenna. Either it is a Cable connection, a Satellite connection, a telephone line connection, or a Cell tower connection (unlikely).
The bill you pay for that connection would have the speed on it (likely), or you can run an online speed check at:
http://speedtest.comcast.net/
Sons1, What speed is your network connection?
Shorting the stock at the right time can overload the buyers to push the price down. If it is done at the end of the day, it can be used to try to restrain the price and volume trends that would attract investors who monitor the trends.
Possibly, it can give the slow accumulators more days to buy at lower prices if the stock price has a down day. If the investors buy more shares during the day than they short at the end of the day, they can be ahead of the game.
Review of LTE wireless speed in Australia.
The Australia networks already have much faster LTE speeds than in the US. 50+ Mb/s. This is good news for Clipstream G2 users in Australia and ultimately for users around the world.
http://www.cnet.com/8301-17918_1-57525515-85/these-lte-speeds-will-make-you-cry/
I found this statement by the CTO of GigOptix last August.
'LTE can support rates to 25 Mb/s to the user, so multiply that by the number of people who’ll buy the next-generation Android and iPhone smartphones and you come up with a lot of data being transferred!'
http://mwrf.com/digital-semiconductors/interview-andrea-betti-berutto-cto-gigoptix
If iPhone users can receive 25 Mb/s of data, Video quality won't be a problem for Clipstream G2. The network companies can't deliver 25 Mb/s yet, but they will continue to improve network bottlenecks to get to that speed over several years.
Clipstream G2 will be a great video delivery system for the next century when the network bottlenecks are solved.
MaxLinear is on a run. 11 percent today.
I've been digging into home-network technologies where there is a revolution going on with companies like MXL, ENTR, selling to Comcast, etc. Clipstream G2 will benefit from the higher bandwidth up to 1GB downstream through the Set-Top-Boxes used for Cable and Satellite. The set-top-boxes will be a gateway for all up to 8 devices at a time all running fast.
I am investing my MXL profits in Destiny today.
Have the Directors been accumulating without notification?
http://www.nasdaq.com/symbol/dsny/insider-trades#.URA-7GdZP1Y
I see the share count owned by Mr. Kumagai is 625,079 this year. Last year in February 2012, he only owned 441,350.
Same deal for Mr. Vandenberg. This year he owns 995,708. Last year, 511,417.
Maybe the employee stock buys of the company are not shown for Mr. Vandenberg. Do the Directors like Mr. Kumagai receive 150,000+ shares for their work as a director?

'What am i missing' Lots of stuff.
H.264 will soon be obsoleted by H.265.
All the Amazon formats require royalty payments to the H.264 license owner if they distribute over 100,000 H.264 videos in a year. The payment is 20 cents per video transmission (I think), up to 6.5 million royalty payments per year. This may obligate the video trans-coding service users to start calculating their royalty payments. MP4 also requires royalty payments.
The Clipstream G2 format will be royalty free.
The Amazon format still requires multiple formats because Mozilla and other browser companies refuse to pay the royalty through running the videos natively - so the browsers run those video formats with a player component.
Great results. I wish I had bought more.
MaxLinear 4Q results should be great.
Chips are embedded in:
Comcast X1 Modems - via Pace Plc modems - rolling out in major cities started last year.
Intel Puma 6 cable modems
NetGear cable modems
Charter Communications rolling out Pace Modems too.
Pace Plc reports 4Q numbers 'should beat previous guidance' due to US roll-outs and worldwide migration to DOCSIS 3.0 standards with in-home networking connectivity for multiple devices.

Short-sided investors are the reason for the stock slump.
Too many Investors chase short-term news. Lower 2013 dividends and lack of news on NCE developments are holding the price down a little.
The underlying value of SLP intellectual property is a rare element in the investment world. Investors can't value it correctly, so the don't value it at all.
SLP software applications can change the world in so many ways right now, yet SLP continues to improve the features ahead of their competitors.
The 18 new customers is the big positive out of the CC. If they do that each quarter in 2013, they will have great revenues going forward into 2014. I believe it will happen in Q2 and Q3, probably not in Q4 due to the summer slump in sales.

50k volume in two buys at 70.5 and 71 cents all at once. Half of the day's volume hit in a few minutes.
Is it Destiny buying or another retail investor?

It is easier to see the two buys if you select the 1d chart.
How did you find this ad link?
Nevermind - I found the link on Destiny's website.

Destiny has not released the product yet, so the ad has not been published anywhere else.
Can you prove that NFLX using AMZN services?
AMZN is a competitor with their own Amazon Prime video streaming service.
NFLX would be stupid to use any AMZN network.
Here are the x-rate graphs.
You are correct about Canadian dollars. That should help them although it may not off-set the Euro decline.

Please read the Currency Trading for Dummies book. This is investing 101.
Destiny's corporate currency is likely USD since they are officially a US company.
In Europe, all their sales are in Euros. They set prices in Euros because their customers buy in Euros, or Pounds in the UK.
When their customers pay them, they have to convert the sales into USD. If the Euro weakens after they set their prices, they lose money on the currency conversion from the expected value of each sale.
Now for the Canadian exchange.
They pay all their salaries in Canadian dollars. They have to convert the USD to Canadian dollars to pay their employees. If the Canadian dollar strengthens, they need more USDs to pay the same number of employees. So they lose money when the Canadian dollar strengthens against the USD.

If you believe that, you should short DSNY before the price drops.
Not that I know of. They will disclose their purchases in the quarterly report that covers the period. So we will know in 3 months.
Steve could mention stock purchases in the CC next week.
I hope it is Destiny buying share rather than ANYDAYNOW.
The article may be wrong, but my reading of the article is accurate.
All the breakouts of IE, Chrome, and Firefox are in percentages of the whole pie.
Read the article again.
These are statistics collected by the w3schools website.
Hardly reflective of average users who spend time on Youtube and Yahoo.
These statistics would favor advanced levels of users who would upgrade their PCs and Browsers.
I can't recall my parents ever visiting the w3schools website to learn some new tips on Javascript and HTML coding.
My post showed IE8 with just under 25% of all browsers. Read the article graphics.
This other reference from pc Magazine says IE8 is 13.7%
http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2409768,00.asp
"Windows XP itself, the operating system current enjoys a total market share of around 28.8 percent."
So 28.8 percent of PC users have to use Firefox or Chrome to use Clipstream G2.
It seems that a lot of cash strapped PC users have not upgraded to Windows 7 yet. Whether these users are business users or home users, I do not know.
Here is the September 2012 Browser Percentages
IE 8 is 25% and falling. IE 7 is < 3%. IE 6 is 7%.
http://thenextweb.com/apps/2012/10/01/internet-explorer-8-falls-25-market-share-firefox-15-passes-10-mark-chrome-loses-users/
There is a bias that still exist for Windows users to use IE as their default browser.
However, Windows XP users are stuck with IE8 - so they have to change to Firefox or Chrome.
SLP presents at an Investor Conference today.
http://finance.yahoo.com/news/simulations-plus-present-sidoti-semi-130000117.html
Look at this AMAZING VOLUME - 6.300 shares traded. The presentation must have been really GREAT.
Any one using IE7 and IE8 now are really oblivious to the web browser options available.
Microsoft has abandoned XP users. Microsoft wants to force all XP users to migrate to Windows 7.
Everyone using XP has to use Firefox or Chrome rather than IE8 or IE7.
Once they start using Firefox, the DSNY videos work fine.
Earnings do not jump when software is launched. Earnings jump after a launch as the bugs are worked out and the sales process ramps up.
It seems investors have forgotten about PlayMPE. Version 5 launched in May. The 4Q reported included May, but the earnings did not jump immediately. Universal Music acquired EMI records in October, so all the EMI labels that were not using PlayMPE may start using PlayMPE. Universal has made PlayMPE their worldwide standard for music distribution, so they are rolling out the use of PlayMPE into more countries every year.
I do not expect a huge jump in earnings due to PlayMPE, but an increase is possible. In the Q4, revenues from independent labels in the US jumped 15-20%. This increase offset the drop in revenues from the decline in Market Research uses of Clipstream G1.
