I think you misinterpreted my post. I wasn't saying Ben is a great guy and I agree Kim should find a new IR guy. I was pointing out that we are stuck with Ben because he came to us as part of the "line of credit" deal with Calm Seas Capital. Calm Seas required that our IR guy had to come from them or at least recommended by them. So we are stuck with Ben until we no longer need funding from Calm Seas for our day to day operating expenses.
We all understand that you dislike pump newsletters. I am with you on this. I do not like blatant pump letters. You know the ones that say get in now for a 1000% gain and such. I fail to find that in the example that you posted from SWA. In the example you posted they are simply stating facts from past events and reports that were drafted from outside sources. They even state that if the cc does not reveal any concrete commercial deals that KBLB still has future value. All I am seeing is them stating facts....I do not see it as a blatant pump.
Here's your SWA example again:
Dear Subscribers, Kraig Biocraft Laboratories KBLB Wait No More Back in October, Buyins.net announced that there was a massive short interest, approximately 138 M, in Kraig Biocraft Laboratories (KBLB). Buyins projected a SqueezeTrigger price of 0.135 , but it appears that 0. 14 was the key level and, despite several attempts, KBLB could not breech that level for the longest time. The wait is over! What an outstanding week! On Tuesday KBLB made an announcement, on the heals of the prior month’s Sigma-Aldrich (SIAL) ZincFinger technology announcement, that helped it smash through the key level. In reviewing recent press releases and with the highly anticipated conference call looming on the horizon, it is easy to see why the shorters decided to try to cover, especially with commercialization activity perking up, the Company preparing to scale up production potential. Even if no commercialization event materializes during Friday’s call the Company has compelling technology and the growth plan to enhance shareholder value is bound to follow. “When we originally issued our research report, back when the shrs were only a few cents, we placed a price of .40 on the shrs. We now think that price target is likely too conservative.” Emerging Growth Research, LLC concerning KBLB As larger strategic buyers become more aware of Kraig's technology and current low valuation, an outright acquisition of the Company may become a very real possibility. Get ready for some serious trading action! Editor
"Kblb has accomplished nothing".....to quote the Geico commercial....what, do you live under a rock?
Now that deserves an "lol"
I was incorrect about it being a public university, but I was correct about it being the "University of Notre Dame".
http://nd.edu/
You are correct...my apologies.
Trade magazines would not have brought the volume that was needed. Sure it would catch the eyes of larger pockets but those pockets are tight and they would not invest large money until the product was in production and deals were signed. We are very close to this now and soon those tight pockets will be willing to reach deep.
Not quite time to break away yet....we still have some milestones to complete. I am sure Kim will move on to traditional forms of financing as soon as we have a stream of revenue coming in.
So if anyone has a problem with calm seas and their business practices then they did not do a thorough job with their DD. Kim spelled out the terms of the deal and the risk to investors very clearly in the prospectus. He did not try to hide anything and explained that Calm Seas would be selling their shares and it could effect the pps. So if anyone here is crying over this deal it is their own fault....just suck it up and either accept your own short comings on your dd or sell your shares and move on.....the Calm Seas topic is over for me and I will not be commenting on it again. The only comments I will make will be if I see blatant or misinformed statements.
So how did you hear about it? Through ihub or maybe CNBC...
KBLB tried last Sept to use a traditional news avenue by hosting a press conference at Notre dame. It did not accomplish what I am sure Kim thought it would. Sure they got some network coverage but it was only the local network affiliates. If we were a nasdaq company it would have been picked by the national networks.
So, do I think that penny stock newsletters are the best way to get the word out? My short answer is NO, but as we are still a penny stock that trades on the otcqb sometimes you use the tools that are available to us. The important thing to remember is to negotiate the deals to your favor. If you will notice when the sell off began during this run up there was no where near the amount of shares dumped as compared to the dump in Sept before the PC. I believe there were in excess of 50m shares traded in one day during the dump. I believe that dump was related to Lion Equity....and Kim did not go back to them for any financing.
Wrong again, it is a public university and I would guess there student population is close to 30k.
What you have to remember is that Ben came as part of the package with the Calm Seas line of credit deal. Calm Seas required in the agreement to supply a IR person related to their company. Hence the reason why Ben was the IR guy for Wikiloans.
So I think Kim was a little surprised by the question from him....kinda like your wife asking you if she looks overweight.
"JB2 is right when he says Thompson should be using more traditional avenues to get the word out."
Exactly what "traditional avenues" would you suggest? Surely you do not think that CBS, NBC, ABC, FOX, CNN, CNBC or any other mainstream media outlet is going to give us an ounce of coverage before we partner with a mainstream company or have a steady stream of income. If we waited for that we would still be trading under .05/share.
You have these so called non traditional avenues to thank for the current pps. If it were not for them only a very few lucky people would know about this stock. I think if most people here were honest you would find that the majority here learned of kblb through one of the pump emails.
UND stands for University of Notre Dame....not College of Notre Dame.
Nah......I'll just use it when its appropriate.
Yaaawwwnnnn.......zzzzzzzzzzz.....same old same old.
Does reaching 80% strength and flexibility equate to 80% spider silk protein? I just do not remember reading that they had achieved 80% spider silk protein and would guess that the silk worm silk would have some percentage of strength and flexibility when compared to spider silk.
You could be right. I am basing my opinion on his past performance. He always keeps his cards close to his chest. I just feel that any PR's we receive between now and the verifiable success of Gen2 will be announcements about acquiring our private lab space, Notre Dame collaboration agreement, Gen1 commercialization deal, publication of the peer review, a partnership agreement and a possible joint venture partner (not exactly in this order).
That is very true. That is the reason I have not sold since I got in during late August. The only time I added to my position was when the pps dropped into the .06's and I doubled my position at that time. I am holding this stock until my retirement which will be in about 17 years. Unlike others here I am not looking to retire early, I enjoy my work.
I understand that you had a bad connection and referenced it in my post. I want you to know that I appreciate your contribution to this board. You arrived on this board at just the time you were needed. There was a lot of confusion about the ZFn technology and science and you brought clarity to this discussion. By doing this you have earned the respect of this board and its gratitude. To quote a line from "Spiderman" (seems appropriate)...."With great power comes great responsibility"...this is the reason that I urge you to be careful with your statements that do not deal with science. You have earned my respect and please do not see me as your adversary.....see me as an occasional breeze that nudges you back on course. Again thank you for your contribution to this board.
I think people should be more realistic with their time frame for any news on the success of the zinc fingers. We have all been here long enough to know that Kim doesn't put a pr out until he is certain of success. Did we here about the success of the first generation of the Monster Hybrid silk worm? He waited until they were certain that they had their commercial worm ready. I do not doubt that they could have success with the zinc fingers within the short time frame that is being speculated. I just do not think we will hear anything from Kim about the Gen2 pure spider silk worm until he is sure that it has been tested by an independent testing facility. They can confirm that it is 100% spider silk in house but for it to be accepted without being scrutinized it needs to be verified by an independent source. This is why I feel that Kim said we should hear something about this in the fall. I could be way off base though...Kim has been playing a wicked game of chess.
Definition of ADVISE
transitive verb
a : to give (someone) a recommendation about what should be done : to give advice to < advise her to try a drier climate>
b : caution , warn < advise them of the consequences>
c : recommend < advise prudence> : to give information or notice to : inform < advise them of their rights>
intransitive verb :
to give a recommendation about what should be done < advise on legal matters> : to talk with someone in order to decide what should be done : consult < advise with friends> —
ad·vis·er also ad·vi·sor noun
Therefore an "advisor" is one who gives advice.
The dictionary is a wonderful tool to use when you do not understand the meaning of a word. You should give it a try sometime. I think you would find it useful also.
Again Zinc, you are talking about sending out frozen eggs. You really need to hold off on making those kind of conclusions until you have had a chance to listen to the cc uninterrupted or read a transcript. You are far off base and with your reputation on this board you can easily sway others into drawing the same misguided conclusion.
Actually, the ceo said the the peer review had been prepared and submitted for publication.
"Submitted for publication" is the key part you conveniently left out of your statement.
Again, making a statement about something without doing your dd makes you look weak.
Notre Dame didn't verify anything???? Are you serious???? Did you view the video of the Press Conference held on Sept. 29th, 2010? Dr. Fraser (scientific representative for University of Notre Dame) announced during the Press Conference that they had achieved a transgenic silk worm capable of spinning recombiant silk that was 80% as strong and flexible as native spider silk. They had the product displayed on a table for the whole world to see. After the PC Kim held a CC where he stated that his phone had been constantly ringing with all kinds of offers. These offers came in the form of money, venture capitalist, partnerships...etc. At that time Kim stated he was not going to take the first deal, he was going to take the best deal.
So you were right when you said to show the world what you have and they will beat your door down with offers (Paraphrasing not quoting). Thank you for making that statement and confirming that kblb has a valid product and will soon be bringing this commercially viable product to the marketplace.
I am sure they will put out a PR in the near future stating that the cc has been posted to their website.
Possible partner with deep pockets? Well he mentioned discussions with a company that specializes in structural integrity and protection(paraphrasing, not quoting). Sounds like Kevlar to me...so my guess would be Dupont.
Flow through royalties???? Zinc, while your knowledge and dd on the science is miles above anyone else contributing to this board. I think you missed a very key point during the cc. Kim made it clear that we would be selling our product to companies and that product would be non-woven and woven silk, meaning woven fabric and spooled fiber. There will be no licensing agreements because it would be to easy for a foreign entity to steal our IP. Seeing that we will be holding only US patents our IP would not be protected in foreign countries. It is for this reason why every product will be made right here in the good ole USA like I have said on numerous occasions. We will not be licensing anything and we will not be selling worms, eggs or cocoons, therefore there will be no royalties only direct income from sales of our products.
I was talking about today's volume. Slow volume this morning and they brought it down quickly......then the volume picked up and we slowly went up....then volume slowed again and they are bringing us down again.
NITE is one of the worst MM for this type of manipulation.
NITE : This is the king MM of the OTCBB. He intimides traders and other MMs use that to their advantage knowing that he scares them. That's why NITE is the shaker on most stock runs; he is the most common ax. NITE could be on the ask all the time, he could be leading a dip scaring sellers to SCHB and TDCM on the bid.
How do you cut the a/s without doing a split? It was a 9 for 1 split that got us where we are now.
For those that are saying we are not seeing MM manipulation of the pps, then explain this to me. Why does it take a huge amount of volume to bring the price up and only a small amount of volume to bring it down?
Yeah, that theory worked real well for Citigroup. They did a 1 for 10 reverse split and they are trading below where they were before the split. The pps is based on the company fundamentals...if the fundamentals are there then there is no reason for a reverse split.
Is this quote from your practice account?
If not, when did you get into kblb?
Around 200,000 trade volume and the MM's have walked it down around 10%. Simply amazing what these A'holes can do!!!!!!
To all that are feeling let down with the events that happened today, just read the words of our CEO and let the words mull around in your minds.
"where we are now, which is a point where we actually have not just research and development, but actual product and are gearing up towards actual commercialization."
Very enlightening statement. Good things, they are a coming. This is all I have to say.
Again, for all those that have questions about calm seas capital and the financing deal between them and kblb just follow the links. It will lead you to the complete prospectus that kblb filed with the SEC. Kim has not tried to hide anything. It is out in the open in plain sight for anyone to review. You just have to take the time to read it and it will answer any questions you have.

The cup has to have a handle and the handle is always formed during a down trend. So if the chart holds up we will have a huge rebound.
Wasn't talking about the volume over the past few days....I am talking about today's volume. Geesh, please read my post better.
You are correct. This sell off has nothing to do with calm seas...not enough volume for that. This is just a typical MM shakedown to cover their short position. Weak hands are playing into their game. To verify this just check the short interest over the past week. There is where you will find your answer.
Also forgot Telepathic Ability. Yep, I think that's it.
Lol...you're right....just edited...thx.

Another side note about the commercialization and how we will get our product to the market. I remember reading a statement recently where Kim was talking about selling spools of our monstersilk. I can't remember but I think someone posted it here. They had highlighted some areas of interest but did not highlight the above mentioned information. It sticks out in my mind because I felt like they had missed a very key statement. Wish I could find it, maybe someone else here remembers the post I am talking about and can steer me in the right direction.
