Sphere 3D to Demonstrate Tandberg Data RDX Backup Appliance Storage Solutions with New RDX+ Technology for Media and Broadcasting Professionals at 2015 NAB Show
Technology Partner Archiware will Host Sphere 3D at NAB in Archiware Booth # SL15113
San Jose, CA — April 13, 2015 — Sphere 3D Corp. (NASDAQ:ANY), a virtualization and data management solutions provider, today announced it will display and demonstrate its market-leading RDX® backup appliance solutions this week at the 2015 NAB Show with its technology partner, Archiware, in the Archiware Booth # SL15113, Las Vegas Convention Center.
At NAB, Sphere 3D will showcase its portable RDX QuikStor™, a USB3+ powered removable disk backup and archive appliance designed for use in environments where data portability and encrypted data security are essential including post-production workflow and footage distribution across locations, and outdoor usage. RDX QuikStor customers can achieve enterprise performance and fast transfer rates up to 936GB per hour and capacities of up to 2TB per cartridge, plus future expansion to larger capacity media enabled by Sphere 3D’s next-generation RDX+™ software technology. Available now, the ruggedized RDX+ enabled and USB3+ powered external backup drive eliminates the need for an external power supply by simply connecting a USB3.0 cable to almost any system. More information on the company’s solutions for media and broadcasting is at http://ow.ly/LmUB0.
Sphere 3D will also preview its new RDX QuikStation™4, a RDX+ software powered, highly-flexible network-attached removable disk array with four RDX drives for automated data protection, offsite disaster recovery and archiving. Built on Sphere 3D’s award-winning and patented RDX removable disk technology, the new RDX QuikStation4 provides iSCSI connectivity for easy integration into existing infrastructures, and a small 1U 19-inch rack mount form factor.
Both the RDX USB3+ and the RDX QuickStation4 include Sphere 3D’s new, groundbreaking RDX+ software technology which is designed to increase storage capacities by 50% and more, providing the company’s existing RDX QuikStor and QuikStation appliance customers with future expansion to larger than 2TB capacity media. Unlike other competitive RDX solutions with a maximum of 2TB capacity, Sphere 3D’s RDX+ enabled backup appliances are uniquely differentiated with backward and forward compatibility with Sphere 3D’s RDX QuikStor and QuikStation appliances to protect customers’ investments as disk drive capacities grow beyond 2TB.
Additionally, Sphere 3D’s patented RDX technology has achieved a new milestone that demonstrates its global reach with over 1 Exabyte of storage capacity shipped to date on more than 700,000 RDX systems.

Well that's a interesting concept . Their going to delist a stock at the end of the year with a 160 million run rate of reoccurring revenue.
Welcome to the board ( bored ) . Nice post .
I agree it's nice to know there's no real competition but also don't forget , even if we had some competition , we don't need all the business to move a little tiny cap company like ours . From what I hear , they are plenty busy these days .
Green !

?@michael_keen When Will IBM Become a Cloud Leader? >I don't think it's a ? of "when" but "can". 2 big & culture gets in the way http://zite.to/1yNVeVA
I believe also we won't see ANY for 3 to 5 years but only time will tell for sure .
I guess we'll take what we get but under promising and over delivering seems to have worked out well for Apple .
Great job donkschmonk , Thank you !
Oh! I like # 5 .
In fact hearing about success stories are great but perhaps just a general question that says " what are your biggest challenges right now with the execution of Sphere3D ? " and let them tell us rather than us guessing at it .
One of the question that I believe will ultimately determine how big Glassware becomes is the ability to run Glassware without tech support ? I would think the ability to put Glassware on a chip and let it go would answer that question so how far away are we from that goal and what challenges are we experiencing trying to accomplish that ?
All good questions here from the board . I'd like to know where the " break even " point is to profitability .
your putting the horse before the carriage . Worry about the fundamentals of the under lying company and the fundamentals will take care of the stock price through earnings . Unless your strictly a trader worrying tick by tick about the stock price serves no purpose .
Funny !
at this point what else is there to say ? Either you think Glassware works or you don't . Either you believe ANY will book 160 million or more in 2015 or you don't . Fundamentals will always trump traders and shorts . If you believe in the fundamentals then time is on your side . relax , be happy .
Cloud OS App Launch
?@CloudAppLaunch .@Sphere3D, @Microsoft collaborate to deliver Glassware 2.0 Windows app containers on #Azure: http://aka.ms/gy3lyv
yes , I see now where Fidelity has finished their swap . For a little while there during the trade off it looked like I had no shares at all .
How can you tell ?
Another great move by a great management team !
Nice move .
<....But I'm confused about the date of this article... >
A look into our future .
Less people willing to short it ?
And even then if you get in early enough you can make a bit of money even on the failures . I've invested in 9 stocks over the last few years and only lost money on 1 of them . Finding the " big one " is for sure a uphill battle but so worth it if it works out .
Yes , this is a very rare situation . Finding a micro cap stock that becomes a big stock is a monumental endeavor . First you need a disruptive technology that fills a urgent current need and then the hard part comes . You need a management team that is all on the same page and can implement a carefully laid out plan and this very thing has been the sticking point . There has been some pretty remarkable technologies that has been found but some have used the company as a ATM with toxic financing and some are fine with the technical theory but can't execute a business plan and some are outright crooks .
Fortunately you only need one real winner to make a life changing effect . This is the one . I find this recent desperate
short attack almost comforting . Even they realize now it's about " game over ".

Thanks for the write up about how we use Azure with Glassware to containerize applications to move them to the... http://fb.me/7vMLzvNX7
well put and true .
I'm not surprised . One of those articles about Boomi was dated September of 2013 . A bit early on for Glassware to be in it I believe. Doesn't mean that can't change at some point and a Boomi 2.0 come out " new and improved ".
I saw that but it didn't say glassware did it ?
and every word of this update is pure fact . Not speculation and not fiction . Now having said all that , if we choose to extrapolate some speculation here , we pretty well end up in the clouds .
"...The bottom line: Nadella is working to push Microsoft out of its Windows slump and into cloud computing and apps for iOS and Android...."
"...Windows, which once dominated computing and ran on more than 90 percent of computing devices, now runs on 11 percent of computers and gadgets, according to a report from Sanford C. Bernstein. Nadella and Windows chief Terry Myerson are looking at ways to update the software...."
The CEO said he sees the company’s operating systems as a cloud OS comprised of Azure, its software for hosting and running apps in the cloud; its Windows software for PCs; as well as Windows for devices and Microsoft’s own hardware. He pledged to modernize the company’s engineering processes to be faster and rely more on data, as well as making them better at predicting what customers want.
Nadella tells employees, "This is a software-powered world."
"I believe over the next decade computing will become even more ubiquitous and intelligence will become ambient," Nadella said in his email to Microsoft employees. "The coevolution of software and new hardware form factors will intermediate and digitize — many of the things we do and experience in business, life and our world. This will be made possible by an ever-growing network of connected devices, incredible computing capacity from the cloud, insights from big data, and intelligence from machine learning."
your right , there's lots of good posters on this board . The bad ones just seem to stand out . This by far the best board I've seen on Ihub .
"...The recent alliance suggests that it's Glassware that's behind their wonderful claims
What do you guys think?..."
I think your right on and your one of the big reasons I
bother to read this board . I'm sick of hearing non stop posts about the stock price of the day , hour and second . Thanks for posting what's really important .
I just love these posts that begin with " I'm long guys but... "
