Morning Lee. I believe Buddin was married to manager Mike Higgins' daughter. That's one way to get job security, at least for a little while. LOL Best of luck with your trading.
Russ
Lee. I certainly agree about Johnny. In between Steve Allen and Johnny Carson, Jack Parr did the show. He was a weird one, but had some funny moments with celebrity interviews. It occurs to me that back then guys like Frank Malzone, Jackie Jensen and 'bootin Don Buddin', were playing for the Red Sox. Now those are really names from the past.
Russ
ASTM. In at $3.23

OTOT
Those were some funny times. I always got a kick out of the skit where Knotts would be shaking nervously and Steve Allen asked him if he was a heavy drinker. Knotts would shake and answer in that quivering voice, "No. I spill most of it." Great line. As you might remember Tom Poston and Louis Nye got their first major exposure on that show. And right now a lot of younger people are going, "Who the heck are those guys?" LOL
Russ
"Am I the only trader what gets nervous?"
Not by a long shot. I set a new standard of nervousness when I trade. I feel like the old Don Knotts character on Steve Allen's night time show. Guess I really dated myself with that reference LOL
Russ
Nice that we both made money on SYNA. Hope your first serving pays off as well. I'll be rooting for you.
Russ
Out at $16.22 for + .70. May be more left in the bounce but I'm too nervous a trader to wait. LOL Continued good luck with all your trades.
Russ
Zeev. I've missed too many bounces on other stocks that seemed overly punished. Hopefully this one will pay off for both of us.
Russ
SYNA. Taking a gamble at $15.52. Seems a little overdone.
Russ
I felt I also had to post about Tuna. I traded with him, and a few others here, back on the Kimberly SI thread several years ago. One thing I knew then, as well as now, is that you could always trust Tuna to give you the straight scoop and be willing to help out whenever he could. By the way, I feel that's true of several people on this thread.
Russ
No problems here with Yahoo Finance.
Bear. I see HGSI is down a buck from its high today. Are you still trading it, and would you grab it here? Thanks.
Russ
Thanks. Quite honestly I'll be happy with a break over 6 for now.
Russ
AMKR. Fortunately I held through the shakiness this morning. Where do you see this going? Thanks.
Russ
SCLN. An old favorite. Used to trade it all the time. I saw it this morning, then promptly forgot it with all the other stuff I was watching. That sound you hear is the dope slap I'm giving myself right now.
Russ
Thought I would ask how far you see FFIV going.
Thanks

SONS. One day I'll learn that all day selling means the cat is out of the bag on bad earnings. What a haircut.
Russ
SONS. Already well more than an average day's trading and still a hurting puppy. Doesn't bode well for earnings, but at least I'll know in a little more than 2 hours.
Russ
Thanks. Everything I read just now seems to be positive for SONS. Also read that the last earnings report in November saw the stock fall during the day, and shoot up after hours. Guess I bought a little high, but I'm going to hang in there for a while.
Russ
Bear. What's your take on the SONS action this morning? thanks.
Russ
SONS. wonder if something leaked about earnings. Instead of a pre-earnings run-up, we've gone red. Hhmmm !!
Russ
SONS. Watching as Bearmove advised yesterday. Showing a little positive PM activity. Reports earnings tonight. What the heck. In at 5.75.
Russ
Thanks for the heads-up. I've got it on my screen now.
Russ
Bear. If you don't mind my asking, why are you so high on SONS? The expanded presence in India is just for R&D it seems. I see a couple of recent upgrades. Do you think this portends good things in the earnings conference call tomorrow evening? Thanks.
Russ
ELN. Took the loss and out at $8.05.
Russ
Thanks Zeev. Purely a dice roll for sure, and a short term one at that.
Russ
You're probably right, but I think the chance for a decent bounce might exist. But since it's a pure gamble, I only bought an amount small enough not to give me an ulcer. I get that from too many other stocks. LOL
Russ
ELN. Couldn't resist. In for a small amount at $8.37

Maine. My Ameritrade streamer shows the news link as normal.
Russ
I wouldn't pretend to be good at TA, but it looks like the last 2 times it came down to the 50 day MA, it bounced nicely.
Russ
Gern. couldn't resist. Bought a partial at $7.49.
Russ
Thanks.
Russ
Bear. Can you share the price that would get you to add? Thanks.

OTOTOTOT *****
Hi all. I recently upgraded to Norton Internet Security 2004. I have been unable to run the Ameritrade streamer ever since unless I shut Norton off completely, which of course, defeats the purpose of the firewall. I've added the Ameritrade site to 'Trusted Sites' in IE6, and under the configuration settings, for Norton, I've also turned off any restrictions for the site. I've even allowed popups and ads. It wants to block the referrer redirect, and I've followed Symantec's instructions to the letter, and still can't get the streamer to run. But if I disable Norton, the streamer runs fine. After doing a Google search, I see other people have this same problem with NIS 2004, but don't seem to have any solutions other than going back to NIS 2003. Has anyone else run into this problem and solved it? I'd appreciate any help. Thanks.
Russ

Ameritrade totally screwed up for me right now.

Goldman says buy Yahoo at current levels (YHOO) By Michael Baron
NEW YORK (CBS.MW) -- Yahoo (YHOO) was the subject of a positive research note from Goldman Sachs, which reiterated its "outperform" rating on the online search services provider. The firm said it recommends investors buy the stock because channel checks indicate "continued strong online ad trends." Specifically, Goldman said it sees appreciation potential of 20 percent to its implied value of the stock of $48 to $55. The stock closed Tuesday at $43.76, down 2.6 percent.
