It's easy to be right if you don't own the stock. <ng>
<sell off some CKG to buy a new computer>
No way!!! One does not need a computer to watch CKG news is slow but I think we will get the desired effect in 2004.
Hey what an idiot that is why you guys like yanks. <g> I must have clicked on hide board info or whatever!!!!!!!!!!! Kitco is back. LOL. LOL. I am not looking for a day job as a tech support provider, not yet. LOL. LOL.

<Great Basin Gold is being accumulated and finished up,>
Frank I have been asking myself for a year why I don't own that one. Good job.
Tom
But Frank if Monk is going long gold why are you so bearish?
My KRE baby that only Eva picked up any of:

In accordance with the Multilateral Instrument 45-102, all shares issued pursuant to the private placement or issuable upon exercise of the share purchase warrants are subject to a hold period expiring on March 19, 2004. The proceeds from the flow-through portion of the financing will be used for further exploration on the company's wholly owned gold/silver Eskay Creek project and a winter drill program (to be announced) on its Langmuir South property (joint venture partner with Starfire Minerals Inc., see Stockwatch March 18, 2002), in Timmins, Ont. The proceeds from the non-flow-through portion of the financing will be used for general working capital.
Kenrich-Eskay is pleased with the continuing fieldwork on its 100-per-cent owned Corey property that is located in the Eskay mining camp of northwestern British Columbia. The Corey property comprises 466 claim units, or approximately 17,600 hectares, lying eight kilometres south of the Eskay mine. Kenrich-Eskay has maintained its substantial landholdings in good standing, in anticipation of metals market resurgence.
Jurassic Salmon River formation volcanic rocks of distinctive lithogeochemical signature enclose the high-grade Eskay gold-silver deposits and mark the central axis of the basin. The Corey property was last explored in 1998. That work and 10 years of continuing studies by government and university researchers now demonstrate that the southward extension of the central axis lies within the Corey property.
The brief 2003 field program focused on the requisite re-examination of the previous diamond drill programs, additional lithogeochemical sampling and verification of previous work sites. The new lithogeochemical sampling will be combined with the data from programs in the 1990s to reinterpret and to delineate zones of favourable volcanic stratigraphy. Compilation of these results and the complete historical exploration data is under way. Targeting and recommendations for the 2004 program will be completed in December, 2003.
The company is planning an aggressive program of exploration for 2004. The base camp for the Corey property was reconstructed and is now ready for an early 2004 field season.
Reactivation of the Corey exploration will feature a strong focus on integrated exploration programs, benefiting from the large base of property and regional data that have been obtained in the 1990s. An important part of that strategy is to join the renewed University of B.C. industry MDRU research program on new exploration strategies for Eskay Creek type VMS deposits. This two-year research program is operated by the MDRU of UBC and jointly financed by government, university and industry sources. The company will actively support the research, along with three other corporate sponsors, and employ the continuing collaboration to augment the 2004 and 2005 Corey property exploration programs.

<gggg>
I think it can push gold eventually.
Spike, nail, it's all the same. Up or down from here.<g> CBD looking strong. Resource calculation in 2-3 weeks so that would not be it would it?
Tom
Wayne,
Nice start for the day on POG. Hope to wake up over $400.00 sometime soon. Of course when we get that milestone we will need $500.00. <g>
And Frank we will get it too. I am going the Marc Faber style, make your choices early, stick by them, go for the long haul. I saw one of those salad slice and dicers on TV last night and it just isn't for me. <g>
Tom
I wasn't kidding <g> I was taking a line from Khrushchev Remember that one from when you were a kid and he did the UN speech?
As far as what to do with CNI profits everyone that reads my posts should know 1. Check with CC before they pay attention to me. 2. And then check with CC again. 3. Repeat #'s 1 and 2. <g>
Of course it is easy for me to beat the drum on CKG as we won't get any bad news like the NR from SVL because Randy does not put out news. LOL.
Besides I think it is CC's favorite gold exploration play.
Tom
Thanks Dan.
To win on gold shares in a down market you must pick the right shares. That is why we sift through Claudes', Russ's, and Liz's picks. Sometimes they all agree on a certain stock for the trifecta.
I am hedging my 2004 bets by buying CKG and CBD. They will rock as ISO would say. I see $8.00 and $9.00 minimum respectfully for each at the end of 2004. Lock and Load.
Save this post. I have backed it up with my total retirement fund, savings, and daughters education.
Tom
Well BFD, I am getting the same price on CKG but starting much lower from here 3.5 vs 15 or whatever. I will bury you. LOL.LOL.
Frank I would tell you where POG is going but the old gypsy lady just passed the crystal ball to her beautiful daughter and I am not sharing. <g> Just hold the right stocks and yea shall walk through the valley of death fearing no downturn.
tom
Believe it or not Frank I am in your camp right now. A bit bearish and maybe we just saw a double top at 399 +. That is why I am so heavy into two stocks both with a lot of cash on hand and things going for them CKG and CBD. CKG is a spec but we have all hear the story. It is my biggest hold and I see no more than a 25% downside worst case in here on it or CBD.
Tom
I read you right. We just need to do a CKG dance.
Easy Frank, you stressed out? <g> Open opinions here I hope.
I think gold is controlled by conspiracy myself. But then so are diamonds, tobacco, sometimes sugar, maybe coffee, oil by Opec, fire insurance costs, wages are set and controlled by the big money boys at the top, hell a lot of things are controlled.
Just figuring out the machinations like you do is what counts. For me it is trying to find a fundamental angle or a good angle in a mining stock. So am I gold buggy, yeah a bit because that is what I know best even if that is only little. <g> I do trade too much but try to get in and out with some scalps as ISO would say but try to find ones to hold long term. SVL was one of those but they kept conning me (my fault)and then hit below the belt with the NR when they finally spoke the truth. So it had to go.
But long term for me is CBD which I have held off and on for several years and am now loaded up. Also CKG which I have been in and out of once and now back in heavier than ever before. I own each of these because I think they can hold up well in a metals downturn and may do well regardless and will do well if we continue to rally. That is if Randy ever decides to write some news that is.
So different styles and different theories for all. As Al Davis would say let's just win baby!
Tom
CD,
$400 just a number? Maybe not. I am a long term fully invested guy but this may be a wicked double top. I think that chance is as good as any.
Tom
CD,
Me on 2 of the three plus other smaller blunders in multiple by my own fear and greed. Need more icy blood next year.
Tom
<Gawd, at one time I had 50K of them. Course, they cost me a buck-fity on average. That was one of CC's recomendations before I started getting the ormetal. Boy, the guy is good.>
One of my big success stories that saved the family bacon and maybe the jewels. <g> Only thing is is Russ got me onto it before CC picked up on it and I had 85K at about .85 to start and bought most by 1.25. did well on that puppy.
Now doing the same thing with CKG. It will be the rock in 2004 guaranteed. And no bulls*hit from CKG.
Tom
Well line me up with the therapy!
CKG news could be down the road who knows but by the end of the year which now is only about 4-5 weeks as it would be before Christmas. I hope.
Romanes???
I hope news gets here someday.
gotta be quick none of those.
Some green some red. waiting for ckg and cbd to wake up.
Tom
No GOZ.
Dave you sure have called PAA well. Geat Job! SVL soon for you? For me after drill turns. Same as INM. Get the drill ready to go then I buy again.
Can you provide a link or a post showing that selling on CBD as I have a call into Kerry.
<Might be time to deploy some of yesterday's cash.>
Maybe CBD? <g> Kerry Curtis is Down Under. Maybe looking at a deal on West or East Meliadine?
Tom
Each to their own. I have made very good money 2-3 times the last 20 years and I mean big dollars by % terms. Those times came when I did my homework and stuck to my guns and did not become THE BIG MAN THINKING HE COULD DAY TRADE!. <g>
You make 30% per year for 30 years on your PF and you will advise Buffet.
Bettting on the fact that he is an emotional wreck is what I meant. And myself I am perma bullish and too much a trader.<g> Buy and hold works best. In fact a freind called last night and gave me my list of 5 from 12-13 months ago. Had I held those I would have been at WAY over a double from there. <g>
More BH this next year.
Starting with CKG and CBD.
<...as for Sinclair, he's got way too much at stake to be taken seriously as a technician ... you can see it in the way he writes his articles-- he's an emotional mess.>
I wouldn't bet on it Frank.
