I can workout with or without the shots. I just have to be careful while getting these shots, as they are chemically damaging my tendons/ligaments. Don't get me wrong. I'm curious too. It's just nearly impossible to know 100% what happened. The way the market works, it's like we're constantly watching a master illusionist. The only thing we can truly latch onto was the visible action and the visible result.

Does it really matter?

If it was a short sale to a willing buyer, the MMs are now deeper in the hole.

If it was a legitimate sell, it did absolutely no damage at all. That volume was greater than the daily volume we've been seeing. Shouldn't it have crushed the stock? Instead a willing buyer showed up. Was it a long? A MM covering? Either way it was basically a non-event at this point.

The fact that the MMs didn't bother to follow up the action shows me that they are hesitant to get themselves deeper in the hole at this point. Since the scare tactics aren't working and they aren't in a position to take on an even bigger short position, they're running out of options. Today's action made that pretty obvious.

Hmm... I'm gonna go with NO on that one... lol


To be honest, as long as these FLDs keep working, I'm more than happy to let them squirm and sweat. It's like watching a "Sweating to the Oldies" workout tape.

Yeah, and their spawn were working the CDIV board hard last night. You have to admit, watching how they work is quite impressive. Without an understanding of what's really happening, this is a psychological onslaught that would be nearly impossible for an average trader/investor to handle.

These tactics have been honed to near perfection. The question is though, how will they adapt to a new much more dangerous advesary?

Well, the last time we tried to give the bashers a taste of their own medicine, 7 of us got our posting privleges restricted. I'm not sure why our bashers aren't getting the same treatment.

I was thinking the same song. But after getting post restricted last time I tried to call them out, I think I'll keep my mouth shut this time.

Instead, I'll talk about CDIV.

I'm not sure that we are actually lacking volume today. This seems like another artifical pattern by the MMs... Show a "stout" wall and make it look like it held. Then take the stock down on low volume to try to convince others that the stock is retreating after failing to break resistance. I'm sure a handful will sell. And at least some of those shares will end up in string hands... Sounds ok to me.

I'm personally hoping that one makes a break for the door and the others start chasing. But these MMs respective companies are in deep together. Screw someone here and they'll get screwed somewhere else. I fully expect the MMs to get wise to this tactic and start using it to their advantage. They are very fast to adapt. So the chances of making an impact on the corruption on Wall Street is not very good.

They're likely discussing how they are going to make an orderly exit. As has been discussed here, the MMs are not going to get slaughtered as so many people wish. They will be deep in the red for a little while, but they will recoop those losses along with some gains by letting this squeeze. I'm sure there's discussions going on right now about how they're going to execute this.

After all, if one MM decides to jump the other ones, that MM will stand to make a fortune as the others expense. This will be a most interesting storyline unfolding here shortly. Let's see if there is any honor among thiefs...

Karaoke in Pittsburgh? Who's in?

I'm thinking of hitting a karaoke bar while out in Pittsburgh. I've asked a couple people so far, but I wanted to see if there'd be a group interested in going out after dinner one of the nights. I'm going to do a little research and come up with some possibilities.

While volume helps, it seems somewhat irrelevant in this stock. As we saw yesterday, the MMs are more than willing to simply stop taking orders. But as they're finding out, as soon as they start taking orders again, they get hammered. They're running out of options.

Yes it does rock, and is incredibly entertaining today. I'm trying to figure out if the MMs are in complete panic mode or simply throwing a tantrum right now.
