Thanks for that vote of confidence there, Triplecaddy
I worked through Manpower back in 1976-77, while attending college.
It was a good deal for someone needing part-time work. It was good for the companies that needed the part-timers as well.
There are several companies that have simulated manpower's approach since then.

If you make 50k in the stock market, I would advise you spend a little to have your taxes prepared for you. Maybe consult an advisor :)

by the looks of it so far , you did the right thing
unbelievable
although wiki is easy to use and might help in quick research, I wouldn't put a lot of faith into it. Anyone can edit wiki info.
too slow
which calculations are you referring to?
I put a link on the last post
Q: How large must an algae farm be to mitigate emissions from a typical power plant?
Based on information in public domain, for approximately 50 power plants in India that generate and sell electricity as their primary business and use coal as the primary power source, the average facility nameplate size is 655 megawatts. For this 'average' plant, when both the power plant and algae farm are in full operation, approximately 8000 hectares of algae growing area is required to consume 40% of CO2 emissions. To achieve a 5% reduction in CO2 emissions, 500 hectares of algae growing area would be required for each power plant.

The problem with using algea as I understand, is that it has to be dried before it can be processed, thus needing to use fuel to make fuel. Not here to knock the stock, just trying to keep it in perspective. I remember the big excitement over Jatropha as well.
If you go back far enough in my posts, you could see that I was a bit pessimistic on that too.
I thought I just did
even so. Not 100s of thousands of gal/acre like he suggested.
Oh I understand photosynthesis. I also know that there is no way
to get even 1000 gallons of oil per acre in a 1 year period from algea.
For example: On Good soil, in a good year, one might get 40 - 50
bushels of soybeans/acre. At 60 lbs/bushel, and say 50 bushel to
the acre ,that would yield 3000 lbs of beans. Soyoil makes up
about 20% of the bean. So one might get 600lbs of oil/acre. At
approx 8 lbs to the gal that would make about 75 gal/acre of
soyoil which once refined would be even fewer gal/acre. Now if
you are telling me algea has the potential to yield more oil/acre
than soybeans, I would have to say you have been misinformed.
As for the algea taking Co2 from the atmosphere, the amount of Co2 per acre
converted would not match that which 10 people would
exhale in a years time. try to keep it real. Happy New Year
"Unlike first generation biofuels, algae has the potential to produce thousands of gallons of oil per acre and does not compete with agriculture for cropland. And because algae are photosynthetic organisms, they feed on carbon dioxide, thus removing mass amounts of C02 from the air."
A bit overrated on all aspects IMO.
All this time, I thought I was your fav Hun. :P
Nice severance package for Mr. Scrooge(Scruggs). :)

Happy and safe Holidays to All!
I think thier plan is to be almost 3/4 of what they had before the crash, called back by next Nov.
Haven't heard of any serious callbacks yet.
hahaha!
Hey Gail! Have a Happy Thanksgiving!
They might call! I know that, if I were a corparate officer, running a company, I would want advice from someone that continously knocked my company, and had the grammar capabilities of a sixth grader.
