Engelhard american prospectors are going for $30/oz on APMEX and ebay. I wish I bough lot more when it was $15... love the premium.

2011 5oz America the beautiful bullion is on bargain at around $138 per coin.
http://www.apmex.com/Category/1416/2011_America_the_Beautiful_5_oz_Silver_Bullion.aspx
We all remember how 2010 5oz ATB was rigged at the higher premium.
Currently, 2012 5oz ATB are fetching higher premium, partially because they are low mintage than other years.
But I believe 2011 at $138 is a bargain hunting item, especially if you plan to flip them when the silver price are high. After all, these are very low mintage, one of the kind bullion. Has some collector value in these bullion as well. Unlike the collector ATB with P mint mark, these are not housed in a bulky cheap box, so I prefer to collect these bullion and I intend to collect all of the series. Just my 2 cents.
Exactly :)
ahaha, he must have thought it was a 1 troy ounce? no one should pay $29 for 3.1gram of silver...but it might be a personal preference... is there any premium for this bullion? I hardly doubt it.
2011 1 oz Silver Canadian Wildlife Series - Wolf coin now sells for $89.99 on APMEX. Prices are going up. Decoupling from the future price even more.

*Looks like it goes around $60 on Ebay...

Have a nice weekend.
hi milo3,
I totally agree with your statement.
I did bought more than I should have when the price was going up, thinking, I can sell half in a very short time frame and get the freebie physical silver. This strategy wasn't working for me. I switched to just keep putting away 5%~10% of my disposable income on the side every two weeks and when the saving become more than $1500, I buy some more physical, especially when the price is going down. (In California, if we buy gold or silver for more than $1500 in one transaction, sales tax is exempted.)
My sliver possession is a long term saving and my hobby(collection) but I surely don't want to go all in without paper cash in hands.
Re:
Those - and I include myself - who bought PMs with short term goals have hopefully modifiedtheir plan.
This is not 80s. we cannot ignore inflation. consider below $50 is a gift from the heaven. IMO
I need $1.40 to become even.
Thinking about double down on this puppie~
I'm surprised that ATB 5oz series Hawaiian Volcano coin is fetching a huge premium... I'm shocked that I didn't buy those. grrrr

Toofuzzy,
I'm dead serious about accumulating real money (physical gold and silver).
I was just saying, manipulated market such as FOREX are predictable in the price movement and they are also liquid so one can make good profits and always buy physicals with the profits. But you also have to think what to do with all of your physicals.
It gets pretty heavy and bulky especially if you love silver.
Or we can just trade FOREX and make the killing if we know what we are doing.... Sometimes I feel FOREX movement is much easier to project than price movement of gold and silver.... JMO
I hear you. If I was you, I'd hold on to my 401k.
At my understanding, there is only 10% penalty, that give me 28%(IRS)+10%(state)+10%(penalty)=48% taxation.
We never know what will be our tax rate by the time we retire.
USA may ask you for 60% income tax 30 years later. who knows....
For me 48% tax including the penalty doesn't bother me much.
I am exploring the option and the idea of converting 401k into physical metals myself...
For the time being, the elite won the battle... More affordable physical silvers to some of the smart people for a bit longer, IMHO

Gold is spiking up right now~
I read somewhere that US and France raided Mali in order to secure the gold for Bundesbank's gold repatriation.
Is metal price going to respond to this scandal?

Hi S_P. I got your message. have you fixed the motor for the mini trommel? I remember you said you'd fix it and send it...
If it's working, I would like to try it.
(You've got mail)
Hi White Cobra,
Thanks a great idea. Especially, you can save the huge hit (something like 9%~12%) from the Ebay commission fee.
I've received an offer price equivalent of melt values for my wartime nickels. I may accept the deal if the buyer allow to cut through ebay.
Thanks for sharing your thought. It lead me to check the root of the family name "Engelhard".
I found it's German name and I immediately started searching on
ebay.de(german site).
Oh wow, German loves Engelhard. They are paying a decent premium for Engelhard. And there are lots of sold items. It's a keeper
http://www.ebay.de/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_sacat=0&_nkw=engelhard%20silver%20prospector%20round&rt=nc&LH_PrefLoc=2&LH_Complete=1
Thanks wer123. I will search for the local auction as well.
I know craigslist comes handy for my location.
I know people who would pay spot price of 999 round but I want to see if I can make profits even I have to pay commission to ebay and paypal.
I've been doing major preparation to move abroad.
I love my wartime silver nickels but they are less desirable when it comes to moving chunk of silver from one location to another location! I'd rather keep the ASE or CSW(Canadian Silver Wildlife series) and take them along with me.
I happen to accumulate bunch of 1oz Engelhard American Prospector round at around $15/oz silver price back in 2009-2010.
I have more than 150 of them and it seems that American pays more premium on Engelhard silver. People in EU doesn't seem to to care about Engelhard. The completed listing price on UK ebay auction shows nothing but disappointing demand on Engelhard 1oz round.
So I added a new listing for the prospector round as well.
(Just testing for the market.)

Thanks one4theroad! I have noticed that wartime nickels has been selling over the melt value on ebay lately..I'll find out if I will get lucky with the bid price.
10 rolls of silver wartime nickels (22.5oz silver (ASW)) up on the auction. I'd appreciate if you can give can give me a bid support.
*NOTE: shell bidding is prohibited on e-bay. So please bid only if you are interested to buy the item at your bidding price. :)
TIA

And I'm witnessing the huge drop in the PM...
Silver is dipping into $27...

pcgs is a pulically traded company, if they switch or damage or coins, they are making a bold move. i believe their grading system isnt honest though. i have lots of MS70 ASE that looks like MS65 to me.
thank you SP, you are the best.
