fair enough, I said my piece.
GL
frustration talking
nothing more imo
of course YA is in control - where does their incentive take them?
short? Hmmm OK, if you say so. I don't agree but hey, to each his own.
It may well drop - and what happens next?
Patience or pitch it..
that's the choice we all face.
Discount Stores in Hard Times
Hacketts could do better than some predict

can't be you investor
you'd hit the ask, right?
looking back...
there were a LOT of them last summer b4 the run.
I bought a few today.
Let's see.
big money
ketchup, burgers, coat hangers, socks and BEER.
there is NOTHING comical about that - trust me
my question is:
what is the target share price within the next year?
not market cap - pps. big difference as we know!
ya think? lol
well, it's a keeper
you have been very open about your frustration
that is a testament to your sincerity - as is posting this email
thanks
Faucet
they will not be bankrupt
far from it
they are expanding ops and will turn the corner
HUGE BUYING will soon follow imo
hi geo
ya know, having been on the slip slide for so long, folks are gonna have to get used to buyers getting back into the fray again
personally - and the history would bear it out - I think that when this does take off we'll need to hold onto something solid. There's nothing steady eddie about this stock. It was a controlled descent - but I see a maniac's run.
No-one - and I mean no-one - foresaw what happened in either June or September last year.
:)
charting analysis is key
so is being clear - and it seems I wasn't - ask puppy lol
exactly - pretty common stuff
what is a "foreign" co?
hmmmmm lol
I agree...
charts re SWVC stay on the board
the relevance of charting really must stay off
different kind of DD - Distractive & Disingenuous
shoot - keep going like this
we might even break the trend!
from the diltuion it is clear we still need lots of buying to keep us moving - I'll help too. Let's suck em 'up!! LOL
i agree....
i think it will come - and want some more b4 we get guidance :)
next week buying for me
hope I get the "right" price
this is just a load zone imo
TS silence and the conversions tell me he is not in a hurry (although I do want to increase my position before he is).
if you think about it, the 2nd quarter books need to close for them to gauge whey they are, Hacketts and other assets starting to kick into gear
We may get some lift here but I see the big moves coming at the end of the summer/fall if the plan knits.
buyback would nice but CD payoffs will help a lot in any event
I see .02-.03 by end of year and will trade accordingly.
GL
blessings come in many disguises:)
wrong - already made money
patiently building (like others) for the BIG move imo
looking for cheapies? lol
I don't... lol
you are right in that this is not a fundamentals issue
it is a stock issue
it's the point of no return imo
they will have to change the share structure to accommodate their needs as expressed in the Q - there is just not enough money available at this level if they continue to dilute
that means
1)buyback
2)increase AS
3)RS
4) 2) then 3)
My bet is 1) and if it's anything else there will be an exodus. The problem the co. will have with anything other than a buyback is who will buy the stock? The money won't be there.
It IS possible (anything is) but they can kiss their stock goodbye if they do.
I am waiting for a further drop and will be buying on my hunch. No guts no glory.
all imo
if you look at the record in
June/July last year same happened
then it exploded - the difference is the OS of course
but who knows? I wouldn't put this stock under the normal
summer vacay rule, but that's me look what happened last
summer. It's not retail that makes it run - it's YA.
discount stores make MORE
in hard times
someone mentioned Columbia jackets for $150
I have said before I think SWVC is more about beer and tube socks (at least for now). Not to mention the fact that H customizes their offering to the locality and, presumably, if needed, market conditions. It'll be fine.
great analogy LB..
I grew up north of London, England and have now spent an equal amount of time here in the US.
That North Sea is coooooooold.
Brrrrrrrrrrrrr.
I'm confident we will weather the storm.
seems right
makes sense
fear not - there will not..em
well...
guess it's too much to ask that it drops like a rock and bounces hard! lol
instead we have the slow death (if you know what I mean)
everything has a purpose I suppose - weed out as many as possible imo - it all seems very planned to me
backing up the truck at some point - just not going to pull the trigger quite yet :)
why isn't it dropping more?
with this many sells
shheesh - frustrating! lol
fasten your belts...
if they need that much cash it
will get REALLY bumpy around here
You can't sell dollar denominated CDs into nothing which means they either drop it like a stone and buyback for peanuts or do an RS - and the latter will kill the stock as they know.
Expect a big drop, equal upswing followed by a big sell off, upswing and start to stabilize.
imo
excuse my french....
but....baloney
1) share absorption by commons is not an operating income issue per se
2) transitions are costly - especially given losses in WB offsetting H income - and it's the 1st quarter so typically a bit slow
forgive me, but it does sound to me like you've never built a business nor understand the investments needed in early growth (or do you just choose to give that impression)
it's all expectations, of course, and yours sound on the high end of reality - maybe that's intentional, I don't know
All I can say is the 10Q looks OK to me for this operation at this stage of its devpt and in its context of transition and integration - not spectac, but just fine. I am not even sure that all stores were fully operational for the quarter.
Don't misunderstand me, lots of negativity swirling around may cause a temp. dip in pps with a couple of (understandably) disillusioned players cashing out. I have to confess that I or other longs will simply add more - and it won't have any sustainable impact - just re-shuffle the deck a bit. We like cheapies.
I say some may "understandably" cash in because the key to pps is not these results at all - it's the #1 issue of share structure (getting back to your $20m) and it's the reason some may dump if they just can't (afford to) wait for this issue to be addressed. But I guess you know that. The legacy sticks in my craw also, for the record.
But looking forward, as is my wont, there just might be a plan in store for this #1 issue - who knows?:)
GL - I hope you've got shares.
Now wouldn't that be a day:)
AP
do you think a buyback or a payoff of CDs is more likely when conditions permit?
Faucet
lot of flap about
steady eddy here:)
see ya in the mornin'
not even the same issue
it's gonna stay here for a while
or hereabouts imo
I'm still hoping for the 2s though
ARCA selling at seven..
we just wait
dust or glory (for the pps) - nothing more to it
