I asked John Howell, "I'm really curious as to how the current tech relates and compares to the original tech Blevins and Sheppard brought to NVEI. Please try to enlighten me."
JH replied,
"Blevins and Sheppard played a role to get the ball rolling. The finished products will have elements of their contributions embodied within them."
excel, I, like most NVEI shareholders, am anxious for the specs.
Like you, I realize the real credibility will come after more extensive testing to back up those specs. Knowing Cooper is calling the strategy to bring this thing to fruition helps my patience after all this time. Really, I was just kind of disappointed the SP didn't reflect my enthusiasm for what I considered a signifcant verification from the company. Our time is coming.
excel, I understand it's a process. What exactly are you disagreeing with me BIG TIME? Are you saying you actually feel NVEI has credibility right now with the overall investment community?
excel, this IS what's missing. "Credibility will be obtained with the release of numbers and telco/chip manufacture contracts."
Disappointing day after a milestone report. It looks like credibility may still be a problem. Something's not quite right yet. What will Cooper and his inpressive staff have to do to get more investors to believe in the tech?
Right on, mikeyrub
It does seem like June and July would have been prime months for a surfer movie.
The more I read from Cooper, the better I feel about my investment in NVEI. I'm looking forward to much, much more.
It is vital to have a CEO that 1) has masterful competence, integrity, and contacts and 2) inspires shareholders. I feel we have a "winner" in Cooper to take us to the finish line.
Thanks pengy. I thought I had read that. If that's the case, it was a huge contribution. I hope Berkowitz is also helping make sure NVEI has the funds to develop the tech to the max. Isn't he supposed to be "world renown" in the area of financing?
Could someone please refresh my memory as to what Ivan Berkowitz's contribution to NVEI has been or will be?
pengy, as a shareholder, I'd like to know for sure.
If those glowing presentations at the shareholders meeting have merit, this is a wonderful opportunity to make some money at these prices and at this time. I can hardly believe I picked up some more today at .71. Am I missing something? What an opportunity! IMO
buffalo, that's kinda what I'm thinking.
excel, you're probably right. However, I've seen biotechs publicize what they feel they have in the pipeline way before it's approved by the FDA. This at least creates some interest even before validation. IMO. But I agree, this is a very skeptical market that seems to need evidence. Heck, in this market, sometimes evidence (great unexpected earnings like PVN had) isn't good enough to really propel a stock upward and sustain it.
milerman, I agree. Why not send out some signals of what we think we're developing, if we feel we can eventually back it up? Create more interest.
"We have NEVER been in a better position as a company going forward." With this in mind I gladly accumulated more shares today and look forward to picking up more in the low .70s. If I'm lucky enough to get them there. It looks to me like an excellent time to buy and if you believe in the product and the management, "the price is right". IMO
BULLSEYE Spoke on that last sentence.
What I meant by "dead wrong about the tech" is that Cooper seems very confident that NVEI is developing a viable, revenue-bearing product. At least that's the feeling I got. If that's what he's indicating, HALLELUJAH, he's supposed to be a respected authority. Surely, he isn't leading a "wild goose chase".
pengy, I, like you and most other shareholders am elated by the position the company appears to be in. With the promising tech and the able leadership. Why NVEI is still trading under a $1 could be the "eighth wonder of the world".
What are the chances of Cooper being "dead wrong" about the tech?
I don't think so.
pengy, I didn't have the pleasure of attending the SH meeting. But from a distance I sense an air of professionalism and organization. This, in my estimation, is the "iceing on the cake" to accentuate a wonderful technological development. Under a $1.00, what a speculative opportunity. IMO
Cu@ocx, I agree and I did.
tigerannie, in the meantime isn't the share price likely to drift even lower unless some big buyers come in? I was hoping Tom Cooper's credibity within the industry in light of what he said about the NVEI tech would have given the share price a lift.
I agree deeba, with this encouraging news the future looks bright. I have a feeling in about two months some people are going to wish they'd have gotten in at these levels.

"The Technology Works!"
"The Prototype is Done!"
"Testing to begin later this month!"- Pengy's summation
WOW! If this is true, isn't NVEI a "MUCH" better investment now than when it traded at $31? At that time we were just hoping for the "facts" that were revealed in the recent 8 K
Pengy, I've not been able to link Greaves presentation. Can you please give me an account of his part of the program? Actually, I only could access about half of Ketch's presentation. So a recap of his speech would also be very much appreciated.
chromebuster, did you drink any of excel's Koolaid after hearing the presentations?
WHP, excellent summary of the general state of the NVEI tech. Let me ask you this, do you now feel the tech is everything you hoped it would be when you forked out some big bucks in the $5-8 range? Isn't it a great feeling to finally actually see some some "light at the end of the tunnel" or should that be a "pot of gold at the end of the rainbow"?
It's 'high time" loyal NVEI shareholders be rewarded. I sincerely hope today brings "real" evidence that NVEI's tech will actually produce revenue. It's time to "walk the walk" NVEI.
34Simmons, do you plan to present this proposal formally at the Shareholders Meeting?
34Simmons, Tom Cooper's speech is titled, "Delivering on the Promise". Hopefully, the speech will reveal some "facts" about the progress of our investment. I hope Mr. Cooper realizes that long-time investors aren't interested in glowing promises of great things to come but actual "facts". You think he'll deliver?
spokeshave, what you seem to be asking for is a "factual" tech update. At this stage, that is certainly not too much for long time supporters to ask. I suspect the next two weeks will give us more than a clue as to the state the technology. If not, I too, will not be pleased.
flopflip, I was thinking the same thing.
EW, I really enjoy your commentary and have much faith in your judgement.
Meg, the way I see it, if NVEI has what it says it has, it could give the telecom industry a much-needed boost. Almost like a godsend. But it's a big "IF".
I asked John Howell, "What happened with Fleishman Hilliard taking NVEI to the media when the timing was right? Is Fleshman Hilliard completely out of the NVEI picture? Did Fleishman Hilliard ever draw a fee from NVEI and if so, did they ever actually do anything for NVEI?"
JH replied, "Strategic decisions going forward are in Tom Cooper's court. He will no doubt draw on resources proven by his past experiences to be the best alternative. I have not heard any discussion on how that may or may not involve FH."
Justin, do you feel good about Cooper, Ketch, and the others that have become involved since last year?
fam, this thing just seems to be getting better and better. What an improvement in the prospects from last year. IMO
Supercomm info from John Howell. I inquired, "Please give me an idea of what NVEI hopes to accomplish at Supercomm.2002. Will NVEI be actually making a formal presentation or just informally trying to get the word out as to what they hope to deliver. As an investor, what should the appearance of NVEI at this distinguished event tell me about the progress of the technology?"
John responded, "Included in the Supercomm NV entourage are two of the most well versed and well connected telco individuals that we could have ever hoped to have on our team. They will be discussing in detail how our technology will improve the bottom line of particular equipment manufacturers and service providers and doing so at one time under one roof. We have never before been in a position to do such a thing from either a technological or a management perspective."
