Cerro Rico's Silver production has never been matched.......
When one compares Cerro Rico to other BPV deposits, three features stand out as being exceptional:
* The phenomenal silver resource. Cerro Rico has produced almost five times more silver than any other BPV deposit.
* Development of a thick acid-sulfate lithocap. The acid-sulfate lithocap at Cerro Rico is at least twice as thick as any other described from a BPV deposit.
* Development and preservation of a particularly deep zone of oxidation. This is almost four times as thick as any other developed at a BPV deposit.

longterm42... you might be right;
* we're in a very hot sector: Silver.
* we're negotiating to get a piece of one of the largest Silver mines in the world: Cerro Rico in Bolivia.
* we've got a CEO with a Bolivian background.
* we're still under a penny and a half a share.
* the Silver market is a very small market... it's much smaller than the Gold market... so when money moves into the Silver sector, there's only a very comparatively small number of companies that money can flow into.
Math session to calculate FMNJ's Jr. Mining ranking..........
The info I got from Nasdaq.com indicates FMNJ opened Jan 3/06 at .0008 .... and that today it closed at .014 .....
http://quotes.nasdaq.com/quote.dll?mode=basics&kind=&symbol=fmnj&symbol=FMNJ&selecte...
so, a little math seems to say: .014 - .0008 = .0132 / .0008 = 1,650%
so, if my math is correct, FMNJ is actually the top performing Jr. Mining stock year-to-date 2006 as based upon Golddrivers.com percentage gain cirteria..... http://www.golddrivers.com/
however, the reason FMNJ proboably doesn't show up on Golddrivers.com "top 10" list is becuase;
* Golddrivers seems to only use the historical data from Yahoo Finance to automate the calulations for their rankings.
* FMNJ does not have historical price data for Jan 2006 at Yahoo Finance...
http://finance.yahoo.com/q/hp?s=FMNJ.PK
* without historical data at Yahoo Finance, FMNJ probably wont get listed in Golddrivers.com
Please correct me if my math is incorrect.
Currently, 2 out of the top 3 Jr. Mining stocks at Golddrivers.com are Silver stocks....
http://www.golddrivers.com
Does anyone have a link to the accurate historical trading prices of FMNJ going back to the first trading day of 2006?...
Yahoo Finance has the historical records for most companies.... but does not carry the records during Jan/06 for FMNJ....
http://finance.yahoo.com/q/hp?s=FMNJ.PK
Please post the link if anyone has found such. Thanks.
The competition to be the #1 performing Jr. Mining stock will be a tough race to win this year, as there are many great performers already..... however, becuase FMNJ started this year at such a low price.... I think we may have a shot... if not, I think we legitametly have a chance to be in the "top 10".... as long as Jamie keeps going in the right directions.
Over $12 p/oz Silver ........ looking for $15 - $20 by the end of this year ..... top that off with a bunch of ever increasing positive news from FMNJ, and we could see FMNJ the #1 performing Jr. mining stock of 2006.
I just noticed that FMNJ currently would qualify within the "top 10" on http://www.golddrivers.com (which tracks the performance of all Gold/Silver Junior stocks)....
ALL SHAREHOLDERS SHOULD FILL-OUT THE FORM ON GOLDDRIVERS.COM TO ADD FMNJ TO THE INDEX (it only takes about 20 seconds).....
http://www.golddrivers.com/Juniors/addjunior.htm
I've already done it.... but I think we all need to flood them in order to get it added.
Golddrivers is a very popular Jr. Mining web site, and would help FMNJ get much needed extra exposure if we can get listed in the top 10 index (and FMNJ has already earned that right).......
Here's the info that you need to add FMNJ to the index....
just to to this page.......
http://www.golddrivers.com/Juniors/addjunior.htm
and input;
URL: http://www.franklinmining.com/
Company Name: Franklin Mining, Inc.
Ticker: FMNJ.PK
Exchange: OTC Pink Sheets
Everything seems to be shaping up nicely..... all the goings on with the viens and now a plant should provide plenty of ever increasing good news for quite a while.
Regarding financing........ I hope FMNJ approaches the Bolivian Govt. for financing.... what better financial partner could we have than the Bolivan Govt. on this historic mine.
Hey FinacialAdvisor......... can you fix the Kitco Silver quote banner.
Thanks.

Bobby Godsell, chief executive of AngloGold Ashanti, predicted that worldwide gold production would stagnate, then fall in the coming years as large deposits of the precious metal become scarce.
in an interview with the FT, Mr Godsell warned that the Gold industry will find it hard to keep up current levels of production. “All of the gold majors are finding it difficult to replace their reserves. New mine production will be flat-to-declining.”

If FMNJ can reach a joint-venture deal on Cerro Rico.... the publicity the deal with attain will be quite significant....
I think few people on this board understand the historical significance that mine has world-wide.... if FMNJ reaches a deal with COMIBOL, it will ROCK the Silver industry.
Many mining companies having been trying to reach deals for access to that mine for many years.
Many here probably don't realize this.... but there is an award winning documentary about Cerro Rico... about how danergous the mine is, and about how many people have lost their lives working in that mine...... here the movie's web page...
http://www.thedevilsminer.com
And like I said before... this deal is about HELPING PEOPLE as much as it is, if not more, than mining itself.
A conservative esitmate for the Cerro Rico Silver reserve alone is 250 million ounces....
and many estimates are much higher than that....
fact is, nobody really knows the current Silver reserve becuase the mine hasn't been subjected to any extensive modern exploration programs.
Instead of a "little" sell.... why don't you make it a "big" sell... not many people I know like to play games when they are working.
Cerro Rico is estimated to still hold almost 5 times more Silver than any comparable Bolivian depsoit...

From a 1999 news article.......
A government study calculated a $118 million subterranean mine burrowing into the Cerro Rico could produce 266 million ounces of silver over 25 years, churning through 54 million tons of ore graded at 182 grams per ton.
A more roundabout solution was being sought by U.S. firm Asarco, which was finishing a feasibility study aimed at using loose surface material around the 23-million-year-old mountain. Their blueprint predicts silver production of 4 million ounces a year for 12 to 18 years based on throughput of 5,000 tons a day and an investment of $48 million.

I think we are going to see $600.00-plus Gold this week.
Is HotOTC being compenstaed with stock?...... or are they doing it becuase they think the compnay is undervalued, and good value for their readers.
If FMNJ gets off the Pink Sheets and gets onto the OTC BB.... I bet there will be other stock profiling web sites that will start profiling FMNJ (as long as FMNJ keeps making some progress).
My guess is that most web sites won't profile Pink Sheets stocks due to the lack of info.... as most know the regulatory enviroment for Pink Sheets is more lower than the OTC BB.
The Broadband deal that Jamie just announced confirms to me that he knows/understands this is a deal more about HELPING the people of COMIBOL than it is about mining...
-------
Mar 30, 2006 -- Franklin Mining, Inc.
"Mr. Melgarejo adds that by introducing Broadband technology and services to the Cerro Rico's mining operations, the entire local community will have access to significantly improved communications for healthcare, education and commerce. "Working together, Franklin and EcoSystem Partners will bring new and more productive technology to mining operations in Bolivia while encouraging economic growth and development."
http://biz.yahoo.com/iw/060330/0115380.html
I don't see a buy-out..... as I'm sure the last thing the Bolivans who make up COMIBOL want to do is..... do a deal with a 4th generation Bolivian (if in fact he's Bolivian) only to have him flip (or sell) the deal to a non-Bolivian foreign owned entity.
Like I said...... this deal is about TRUST, and about IMPROVING the living/working STANDARDS of Bolivians..... read the history of Cerro Rico, and you'll see they've been screwed harshly (over a million with their lives) by basically every foreign (and even domestic) entity for approx. the past 460 years when it comes to Cerro Rico.
In fact, foriegn companies have been trying to do deals for Cerro Rico in recent years, but the locals don't trust anyone, the locals would rather continue to work "as-is" than risk doing a deal with someone that has other than great or honorable intentions... Cerro Rico also holds great SPIRITUAL VALUE to the locals, it isn't a place you can just go in and start an open pit mine, its far to scared... this deal is also about RESPECT & HISTORY.
Also, my bet is; the Bolivian Govt. would rather have someone from the private sector cut a deal with COMIBOL, then the Bolivian Govt. or state entity could come in at arms length and provide financing, which creates less mngmt., costs, & risks, etc. for the Bolivian Govt. or entity.
I'm sure if COMIBOL even THOUGHT FOR A SECOND that the deal could be flipped or sold to someone they couldn't trust.... they'd probably cease negotiations with FMNJ immediately.
I know you want to see a deal done here.... as do I.... but sometimes you need to put PEOPLE FIRST, before the deal itself, in order to create a win-win.
That's just the way I see after conducting my research on Bolivia and Cerro Rico... and I don't think I'm far off the mark.
I don't know either.... but it would be nice to know the extent of his familys Bolivian contacts/history/relationship.
from a capital perspective, a FMNJ joint-venture with one of the majors might make some sense......however, if you read the history of Cerro Rico, there is a VERY DEEP DISTRUST OF OUTSIDERS.
I sense that if Jamie can do a deal with COMIBOL, it would be SIGNIFICANTLY BETTER obtaining capital from the Bolivian Govt. or similar entity...
from a TRUST perspective, if Jamie can gain the trust of COMIBOL.... COMIBOL must be 100% assured and satisfied that Jamie won't be doing ANYTHING that hurts/diminishes the INTERESTS of COMIBOL.
My research indicates what will be extremely important to this deal will be whether FMNJ will be able to earn the trust of COMIBOL and the local population, and put into place a sincere plan to help them.
I was somewhat stunned as to the extent of the dark history around Cerro Rico, and how the Spaniards went thru those people like fly's (they make Saddam look like a good guy)... so it's no small wonder why the Bolivian's no longer trust outsiders.
It's time someone stepped up to the plate and restored dignity, pride, worker benefits, and prosperity back to those people.... BECAUSE THEY DESERVE IT.... and if you doubt that, just read this one small blog entry I found from a Tourist who recently toured the mine....
http://www.travelblog.org/South-America/Bolivia/Potosi/blog-10095.html
BOTTOM LINE = This deal is all about HELPING PEOPLE, becuase, we all know the Silver is already there.
