I like BBI's P/E. If they dip again I might bite...Keep watching the form 4's and see if Issy is still selling...
I think it is "Issy"...
I don't think they're out of shares yet...
Let's hope the qtr numbers don't scare off too many MM's next week...
RE: "huh ... we've been talking about blockbuster for months. not weeks. beenn there and done that. WOW they finally found a way to use that inranet they are sitting on..... duh lets plug it into the net and the mail."

I'll drink to ddatt.....pour me aanudder one..oops! Spilt it Sh*t...oh well...God, I like Scotch..
OK PIP PIP Cheerio , everybody check the news on GZFX..tomorrow is another day...
I hear ya! My prediction was NFLX would hit $15 and in the next 24 mos. NFLX=$6.++/sh. So far I'm right on that $15. As NFLX goes down, GZFX will look like the brave new comer and a lot of $$$ will flow to GZFX.. We are in "Gardonia"...
BT....hunker-down...Bonnie headed your way maybe...
I think with Adsouth continuing to impliment their plan, and I truly think they will, it would not be difficult to pick up 25,000 subs in a month ($400,000.00+/mo) and that would get the job done quite handily....
I figure we have a 90 day window at best to really get this puppy going. The report for the next qtr (probably in Nov. although if I were CFO I'd be humpin' it to get it out soonest, Oct. 1st if possible) is going to tell whats going on, churn, delivery times, shares out, etc.
I think market share is all we need. The traffic on the rental site seems to be increasing in an encouraging manner. I hope Adsouth can get the job done...

DJ Blockbuster Launches Online DVD Rental Service >BBI VIA
DALLAS (Dow Jones)--Blockbuster Inc. (BBI), moving to expand from its slowing in-store movie-rentals business in the wake of competition from Internet-based rivals, launched an online service allowing customers to rent up to three DVDs at a time that will be sent through mail.
Like online DVD-rental pioneer Netflix Inc. (NFLX), the Blockbuster service will have no return dates or extended viewing fees for DVDs. Blockbuster said in a press release Wednesday that subscribers will also receive two free in-store movie-rental coupons each month.
The Blockbuster Online service will charge a monthly fee of $19.99, which below the $21.99 fee currently charged by Netflix.
"We think now is the opportune time for Blockbuster to enter the online rental business, and we plan to quickly establish ourselves in this arena by aggressively marketing, pricing and combining our online program and in-store capabilities," said Shane Evangelist, Blockbuster vice president and general manager of Blockbuster Online, in a statement.
The company said it has marketing deals with Microsoft Corp.'s (MSFT) MSN and Time Warner Inc.'s (TWX) America Online divisions. Initially, MSN and AOL will promote the Blockbuster online service through banner adds and promotional links. Within months, Blockbuster Online users will be able to add and manage their movie queues from MSN and AOL, Blockbuster said.
In May, Blockbuster began a store-based movie subscription program that allows users to take home as many as three DVDs or videos and keep them as long as the want, for monthly fees ranging from $24.99 to $29.99 a month. The company said Wednesday it plans to combine the online and store-based subscription programs in 2005.
Blockbuster's foray into online movie rentals comes as the company faces slowing demand for its traditional store-rental service. In late July, Blockbuster reported a 24% decline in second-quarter earnings and attributed the drop to a "challenging" rental environment, which the company expects to continue through at least the first half of 2005.
Blockbuster is a publicly traded unit of Viacom Inc. (VIA), though the companies are in the process of separating.

.0052 well that just flattened the charts...

that .051 was mine...just had to have some more....

I don't think the potential market has even been scratched yet. Granted NETFLIX is out of the gate early, but there is still a lot of people who don't even know that you can get movies via mail...this "fray" will inform them, and GZFX just needs to get its name out there....
Wick
The movie/game rental market is really heating up. In light of all this attention, with a little more exposure GZFX could jump right in there while these two duke it out in front of the public eye....

I filmed some golf commercials in Jacksonville a number of years ago, really beautiful place. I was born in Gainsville, but only lived there 6 mos. I'll be in the Tampa area for a couple weeks in September...was married on the beach there on Anna Maria Island so we return every year. Semi-retired here in Texas, so I guess I semi-drink on the job....semi-scotch mainly...

RE:
I personally think that NFLX pps will lose 60% of its current value over the next 24 months...
I also think that as NFLX loses, GZFX will gain at a ratio of 3%pps to NFLX losses .3%ps.

RE: "What was that bust in price over the last week? Wasn't the PPS down to the low 5's? The two insiders sales only totalled 1MM shares."
Uh yuh! Did you not follow NFLX and BBI.Do you not remember that we are hoping to be #3...
Wick
RE: "Absolutely! I wasn't kidding about being interested in what you learn."
That's what I thought. As soon as I learn something, I will let you know.
Remember the initials "S.E." Don't know how deep I can dig, but will keep you apprised ( or apprized, either form is correct, I believe).
Wick
RE: "wick...I'm sure we'll all be interested in what you find out. Do they even have a position at this point? I believe JF is using their "line of credit" as a last resort, and that there have been no shares "put" to them under the last agreement yet. So unless they owned a position previously, they may not own one now."
You are correct in zero shares put forth at this time, but wouldn't you want to know why they would back GZFX and their resulting expectations???
Wick
RE: "Better dilution than "toxic" debt-based financing"
I agree 100%. I am currently (privately) inquiring about Southern Securities position.
Wick
RE; "I'm sitting on a million shares. I figure it would take at least a week to sell without affecting the PPS."
Disagree with you on a million shares taking a week. I have watched the insiders and "stock paid subcontractors" dispose of their shares in an up and down day and they seem to be able to shed their shares easily without affecting the price that much...granted it takes a busy day.....
Still think the stockholders are paying for the startup costs by way of dillution....Wick
RE: "I asked a tax question on the board some time ago without an answer. If I have several purchases of the same stock over a period of time and only sell part of them before the end of the tax year, do I have to use FIFO or LIFO, or can I use whatever purchases will result in the least taxable income?"
I asked a similar question of my Scottrade broker and he said in trading use the FIFO.
You can't get around the three day rule to my knowledge. You can sell part of your shares one day, part the next, and then part the next, and thereby effectively "trade" around it under the FIFO rule, but you still have to pay the additional "juice" per trade...Personally I don't mind the "juice" as long as I'm plus. Besides, my Scottrade guys (Ft. Worth, TX) are really good guys and very helpful.
BT has a good point about trading large blocks in a low volume environment. You can actually "move" the market, sometimes good, sometimes bad...

NFLX getting slammed again today!
Wick
RE: "Insider Sales
Sawaqed sold 500,000 yesterday"
As long as "Issy" and any other insiders are willing to part with their shares at these prices, the pps will have a rough time climbing... Looks like the stockholders are paying the salaries and bills at this time....

RE: "Picked up a few more today, don't ask me why".
Me, too! This stuff is like eating potato chips! Pretty soon we might have to have a shareholders takeover meeting if we proxy together! All we need is about 350 mil more.... lol
Good luck to all!

RE: Does anyone see a bottom?
I think the .050 is a good number for the approximate bottom...at least I hope so...
Hang in there..the August report should shed some light on where this puppy is headed...

RE: Stern
Howard has been fined numerous times for his off color approach, but he hangs in there just the same. People just seem to admire his staying power and just shrug off the rest.
I consider his association with Ben Curtis as just something that happens in the media circles, pretty much as if Ben were to appear on "The View", no big deal....
Wick
Hang in there guys, the trend back up is in the making...
Wick
RE: "Wick I pointed this scenario out before you ever showed face here. You went for non expert to GZFX pro in a week... LOL..."
Looks like we are in agreement. After the test, I anticipate a steady turnaround to the upside over the next few months...should be smooth sailing now that NFLX and BBI have dipped low......do you think similarly on this?(By the way have had GZFX long enough before this board to have zeroed my cost, so now I am just trading up. Good luck to us all.)
