I've said it before, and I'll say it again "reverse splits are bad karma".
Thanks
I was reviewing my questions yesterday. I will likely send an email to IR Sunday. I figured that would be easier than trying to catch Mitch on the phone. Also, easier to disseminate the info contained in an email response.
I was just stating my perspective concerning a statement about fixed costs. Fixed cost are after all, uuuuumm, "fixed". I am not dissing anyone. I fully agree with you that fuel costs are not a signifigant factor (that is part of the point of my prior posts).
Trust me, I have no desire to start a discussion anything like the "tire" discussion.
As always "Watching with guarded optimism".
The price of a barrel of oil could go to $110 or more in the blink of an eye. Who would have thought 1 month ago that gold would be where it is? It (POG) would be even higher if the margin had not been increased by 22% not long ago!
Yes, fuel prices have decreased, most notably for gas. I drive a diesel car, so I notice the changes in the price of it. The change so far in the price of diesel has been minimal, 0.02-0.08 per gallon (at least in my area, may be different in other areas of the country). It (in my opinion) would take a much more noticable change than that to positively affect the bottom line for PCFG.
Fixed costs are not likely to change unless the costs associated with them decrease and/or increase. Increases in productivity, efficiency and the POG will be the driving factors towards increased profitability.
JMHO
I would say no. Unless the cost of fuel and labor decreases, the fixed costs will not decrease.
If the POG continues to increase the cost of production per oz will, per se due to increased profitability, decrease. But the fixed costs will not change.
Just my perspective. Not sure if it is right or wrong.
Thank you. Now I just need to learn how to apply it to the "big picture" All of this is about as confusing as algebra. It is all OK once you get the grasp of it. It is just a matter of reaching the point of realization. Slowly working towards it. One day.......
You missed the (') apostrophe. That threw me off.
So much abbreviated terminology being thrown around here that sometimes I lose track of what is what!
Speaking of, can someone clarify for me what EBITDA means. I am at a loss as to the meaning!?!
I am assuming you mean "EVERYBODY BUY"? I would love to help the cause. But currently, I am not in a position to do so. Part of the learning curve of being "green" I suppose. I left no dry powder for future events. Live and learn as they say.
As "Larry the Cable Guy" says, "I don't care what anyone says, now that's funny". Got a real laugh out of that!
What pray tell is "PRS" ?
I know what you mean, I am 1/2 way through my second 24 oz, "high gravity lager" (8.5 %). I was really craving one at about 12:45 watching this PPS, but still had over 6 hours of work to go through! LOL
H3, I believe you completely misread bubbatrout's post. It was sarcasm at it's finest! The intent was the total opposite of what was stated.
JMO. You decide for yourself if you do a re-read of it
I think that may be a little overstated. Right about now, a couple of flat line days would make me happy!
I won't state specifics here because I know it rubs many the wrong way. But, I will state that my account balances today dropped the equivalent of approxamately 140% of my annual salary. yet, I did not lose a dime!!!!!!!!!!! (didn't sell). All I can say is, "If you can't handle the pressure then exit stage left".
The point of this is, there has been a horrific amount of gnashing of teeth on the board today, much without any basis. Don't misconstrue what I am saying; I am certainly not a cheerleader; I have no problem with negative sentiments on the board (I believe everyone should have their say)(I know many may find this laughable, but I am trying to turn over a new leaf). But, I would love to see the negativity backed up with validation that is equal to validation that is presented on the positive side of things.
I would just love some of the doomsayers to present a (negative) spreadsheet that is the equal/opposite to the (positive) spreadsheets presented by others.
I will let it go at that. Good night all
As always, "Watching with gaurded optimism".
Thank you. That means alot coming from you, all things considered!
I believe that the sale price to the smelter will be about $200 below spot. I got clarification, but I can't recall from whom.
I don't believe you properly read the questions I posed. You did not add any clarification. Just want to know the basis of your numbers, that is all.
Just let me compare two things for you. This is an extreme example, but I believe it clarifies my point very nicely.
If you have a ton of lead and a ton of feathers will they be equal in cubic yards (space taken up)? No, because relative mass and density enter into the equation.
If you have a cubic yard of lead and a cubic yard of feathers, do they occupy the same space? YES. Get the point?
g/cy and g/t are not equal.
Perhaps it should be more like "BAAAAA". The sheep being led to the shearing!
Stock valuation is driven much more by emotions than facts. If it was fact driven, we would not have seen the action that we saw today.
JMO
I have done that before (the doctor, lawyer list thing) it is helpful. I have to work 12's wed & thur. Perhaps I will get my courage up on Friday. Will let you know if I do and how I do. Need to gather valid points together, lots of questions raised the last couple of days.
I'm still there! And, Dammmit I wish I had some dry powder! Would have loaded up today!!
Haven't sold a single share and don't intend to anytime soon!
I understand. The first step is always the hardest. I am afraid that I would stumble through my questions, being that people in authority positions intimidate me.
It's kinda like if someone points a video camera at me, I freeze. Being put on the spot kinda freaks me out!
"I understand your frustration and concern but don't hesitate to ask the tough questions directly to the company."
I have considered posing questions directly to PCFG in the past, but was worried that they might be considered insignifigant or irrelevant (that may be a factor for others too, I don't know?). Besides, I imagine that they are swamped with all of the current activities they have to be engaging in to get things up to par.
Other than that, confronting the CEO of a company with my concerns is a rather intimidating action as I have never done such before.
Just offering my perspective.
Interesting statement! Do tell.
Exactly! My account balance today is dramaticaly different than it was yesterday, but I have not lost one thin dime!
Maybe a few more hairs lost, but not any money. LOL
Reverse splits are bad karma! BITE YOUR TOUNGE!
Please forgive me, as again this morning, I am way behind on the posts.
wshaw14, can you please clarify where you get the number .09 GPT?
IE: ".09 GPT is not an exhilarating number".
First of all, we are not dealing in g/t we are dealing in g/cy. Second of all; and I may have missed something; I didn't see a number below 0.1 posted in the PR.
If you could clarify the basis of your numbers, it would be very helpful to me.
TIA. Have a good one
I would say all of those are good questions. Some of them were on my mind and likely in the minds of others. I wonder if it would be valid pose them to the company?
Good night all. Interesting times ahead.
I don't know if this matters to anyone else, but I thought it was kinda cool that they outlined the process in the PR. Just thought I would throw this out since I haven't seen anyone make mention of it.
BRCM Mining Process – The following is a summary of the major steps involved in the process of how mining and screening are performed at the BRCM;
1.Dozer strips overburden from the new mining block to expose the pay gravels.
2.Excavator extracts pay gravels and loads the haul trucks.
3.Haul trucks deliver pay gravels to the screen plant, approx 4 miles from the mine pit.
4.Front end loader loads the hopper with pay gravels.
5.Hopper feeds the gravels to the Grizzly.
6.Grizzly screens all rocks larger than 6" and allows the remaining gravel onto the main process conveyor.
7.Gravels travel the main process conveyor into the Trommel, gravels are washed as they enter the Trommel.
8.The Trommel screens out all gravel that is larger than ¼", the rest are transferred to the Knelson concentrator.
9.The Knelson concentrator recovers black sands (including gold), the remainder (tailings) are then sent to a hydro-cyclone.
10.The black sands are sent to the gold room where they are cleaned with the Hy-G concentrator and shaker tables and then the gold is separated and prepared for shipment.
11.The tailings are stockpiled under the hydro-cyclone and the smaller particles and water are then sent to the geotextile bags where the water is cleaned for delivery to the ponds for recirculation into the plant.
12.The tailings from the Trommel, hydro-cyclone and geotextile bags are loaded into the haul trucks for return to the mine pit.
13.The dozer restores the mined section of the pit with the tailings.
14.Reclamation work to restore the ground occurs.
Thanks, good to know I get something right every now and again. Had some misplaced decimal points earlier, perhaps this evens it out. LOL
I think your "selling price" is a little off target. My understanding is that it should be a couple hundred below "spot" price. I may be off base on that. Can anyone confirm this?
Seems as though tomorrow may be "the" day. I guess they were a little slow on the draw if they didn't get in today. Likely the last good buying chance to present itself at these levels. Time will tell whom is right and whom is wrong.
Have a good one.
Calm down Fox! Just offer him some cheese to go with his WHINE! LOL
Definitely off task, but DAMN that was funny!!!
I really wish I had taken the time to check that I had "crossed all the t's and dotted all the i's" on that post. Misstatements ruin credability and cause confusion. Just not paying attention to detail. My bad!
GFTA
BTW good to see Robo on the scene. Usually a harbinger of good news!
My apologies. Bad placement of the decimal points. Corrected to 0.45 g/cy and 0.5 g/cy. An oversight on my part. Too much time has passed for me to edit the original message, so I guess this will have to suffice.
Other than my innattention to detail, is what I stated valid? The efficiency rates and what not?
Fox, I read somewhere over the course of time that the maximum return rate would be 90-95% of proven reserves due to the fact that no process runs at 100% efficiency. Is a 100% return possible?
Trust me, I won't shed a tear if the rate is 4.5 g/cy vs. 5 g/cy due to process inefficiencies. That would be an AWESOME rate!!!!!!!!!!
Good Fortune To All!!
Please forgive me all, as I am way behind on the posts.
I agree with your and H3's assesment of the situation, that our enthusiasm should be tempered. The possibilities of this stock are AMAZING, without a doubt! But after all, we are all "just along for the ride". We don't make the choices that affect the company. We will have to see what Mitch and Rob have in store for us over the course of time. Indications are that it will be all good so I am not worried if it doesn't rocket at the moment. All in due time!
That is why I often state at the end of my posts "Watching with guarded optimism".
Good day to all.
