Again, Ketch comes across as very professional and straight-forward in the interview. I just wish he had more finances to work with right now. But he seems to "roll with the punches" and has a game-plan to see this thing to fruition.
Could somebody please show me a stock, anywhere, selling in the .40s, with more potential? And the beginning of realizing that "potential" isn't really that far away. IMO
deeba, that does sound encouraging.
immitt, needless to say, shareholders could use and deserve a pleasant surprise.
What's going on? Tell me, isn't NVEI much farther along now than when the stock was much higher? Is the financing issue killing the share price right now?
A very encouraging development. IMO. Northern Trader, I take it you read it? If so, anything new that impressed you and reinforces our hope for a successful product?
spokeshave, that toll-free number is 1-877-610-0333.
spokeshave, I agree "the proof is in the pudding", so to speak. I REALLY want results, not a "warm fuzzy" feeling.
But please reconsider calling Ketch with your concerns. Your take on his responses would be very beneficial to many concerned shareholders.
Midwest, "CES should be postive as well, after all Bill is there and so are others in the knowing." What is "CES" and who is "Bill"?
Thanks again spokeshave. What comes first "the chicken or the egg"? Verification leads to financing or vice versa?
excel, what a fabulous post. I feel "reassured".
thanks spokeshave. Am I correct in assuming that NVEI simply needs to get these impressive numbers verified, then it's "off to the races" for this little OTC company? Do your feel it's a "slam dunk" and is just a matter of time? What potential complications could mess this up?
Could somebody please reassure me as to the positives that we now know FOR SURE about NVEI?
Personally, I had pretty well decided to hold tight with my NVEI investment. But there was something about the tone of the RAQ's that impresses me. It seems professional, confident and determined, to me. Consequently, I've been adding to my position here and there with hopes that these are bargain prices for the potential of this company. Anybody else feel the same way about the RAQ's?
It may still be a long shot. But one thing I really like is NVEI seems to have a CEO that does not "duck" the hard questions. If anybody can site me an example to the contrary, please do. I'm really looking forward to the next RAQ.
spanky, you have a very good point there. Cisco or somebody with some "staying power".
What will keep the NVEI share price out of the mid .50s?
spokeshave, please look at my message #8438 and respond.
honor, if I get a response from Brad Ketch to this I'll post it.
How one intelligent telco person sees NVEI's tech.
I asked a telco person that I respect alot to take a look at the recent PR and tell me what benefit he might see of the tech to telcos. His response; (I deleted the names of the cities)
"Here is the million dollar question. What is the cost to a Tel. Co. to install this equipment? With most companies like Tel. Co.'s and Cable TV providers, they seem to be going with fiber optic cable to the home and services like Digital Subscriber Line (DSL). Cost is the key question. Residential customers will not pay premium prices for faster internet. Business customers who will pay can afford fiber optic high speed connections which do not use copper.
This technology seems to be applicable to the residential and small business user. This can be a wonderful product, but not too many homes will be interested if it costs $1000 a month.
Tel. Co.'s will look at the cost of this product and see if the investment is worth it in terms of where they want to go. If this product will cost $100 to deploy to get 90 Mbps and it will cost $150 to deploy a faster fiber optic technology, they will go with the fiber optic because that is the faster technology in the long term and will take them to a higher level in the long term.
This product may be useful for areas that will not get fiber in the short term. The question is will there be enough customers in these areas to create a great demand for the product. For example there are more high capacity customers in "big city" than "small town". "Big city" customers will get fiber optic service before "small town" customers. So will there be enough "small town" customers to buy this product. This is just a simplified example.
Here is what I can tell you for sure. In the Telephone/Internet industry there is a great shortage of money to invest. Companies will look very long and hard at any new product before they buy it and it has to fit into their overall long term network plan. Even though this product can handle 90 Mbps over copper wire, they also need the Switches and Routers that will also handle this capacity for all their customers. I am just saying this to show that this one product has to fit into their over all network plan. All the pieces have to work together. It is just like your computer. If you have a very high speed modem in your PC but you service provider only has a 50,000 bps capacity, the highest speed connection you will get is 50,000 bps. The old saying that a chain is only as strong as it's weakest link applies to a network."
I wonder if NVEI is intentionally low-keying this prototype PR until the prototype is verified?
spokeshave, are you concerned about the prototype verification being a long, drawn-out affair? And are you more optimistic after the PR about securing adequate financing?
justhafacts, although there are obviously more pressing issues and this may not be a "big deal", Ketch does need to address this in one way or another.
dutchf, can they sell these shares at any time or are there restrictions of some sort?
jeff p, I hope Brad Ketch takes the opportunity to clear this matter up in the next RAQ or that there is a followup PR to clarify this.
Sorry, must have punched some wrong buttons.
ElderWolf, that IS a pertinent consideration, they obviously must feel there if value in NVEI stock.
spokeshave, I am also concerned that lack of sufficient financing will inhibit NVEI's development. Somebody please enlighten me if I'm offtrack, but isn't Ivan Berkowitz supposed to be world-renown for getting financing? With all his supposed contacts, why hasn't he been able to come to NVEI's aid at this critical time when lack of financing appears to be a detriment?
"The technology has passed through a series of simulations, both in the lab and in the field, and continues to meet our expectations." I assume NVEI's expectations are high. This sounds good to me. We'll find out soon. No more seemingly endless waiting for something substantial to support our investment. The day of reckoning is fast approaching.
thanks tigerannie!
milerman, I've been looking for a good excuse to get back out to the LA area. Not too far from NVEIland either. What's the magic number, "$10, $20, $30 or more"?
milerman, good point. By the way, which side of Florida are you located? Just curious, just in case there's a boat party.
Have I been hearing some "Rolling Thunder" starting to develop?
excel, I saw something to that effect speculated somewhere on the board today. One way or the other, you'll have to admit a $300,000 commitment would have opened more of the "big boys" eyes. Berkowitz has to be pretty well off, isn't he a world-renown investment banker or something like that?
I am still fairly impressed with this. At least they don't seem to be hiding in the woodwork waiting to bail out. You no what I mean?
If Berkowitz is indeed a billionaire, at least a $300,000 investment would have been a more solid commitment wouldn't it?
Just really hoping these aren't tax write-offs. We'll probably find out soon.
Will NVEI promote the PR?
Has anybody talked with Ketch about the strategic plans to advertise and promote the upcoming numbers/prototype PR?
thanks, cosmo
cosmoworld, how long is NVEI's "window of opportunity"? IYO
A "HUGE" surprise?
What, within reality, would be a "HUGE" positive surprise NVEI could lay on us by the end of the year?
Brad recently emailed me indicating he was adding my note to the RAQ list. However, I didn't see the responses. Maybe they'll come later.
"Brad,
Have the second simulation tests been completed? What's the status of the additional field test? Will the prototype be released based merely on recent simulation tests or actual additional field testing? Will you still deliver on the promise to release basically, very significant positive prototype news by the end of 2002?"
