I'm here too...have been for a long time...go EDEX and Mesa project - a nice set of coattails to hang on to as part of the VTYE O&G business activity. Lots of false starts along the way but now dedicated to O&G so up is the future IMO.
zagdad
Just a reminder on Hardeman - we are just a small JV player and our close partners aren't in control either so we have to ride with the news and in this industries I hear you can't be too sure of anything until you see the rig rolling down the road in you direction...guess we must always be prepared to re-read about the grasshopper, patience....
zagdad
speedmaster, not sure if you were looking for an example of a pinkie getting back to the OB status but a recent example for me has been ETLC. In the end it will be great for them, and opens up a proposed merger that could be real biggie for the ETLC longs, but the immediate reaction isn't always what you would expect but it is a great move and will be rewarded sooner or later.
I too am surprised that MLXO didn't do better today. Glad to hear some of you have the ear of the President and he listens for good advice - talked to him recently and liked the man and his mission but can also appreciate that the pps side of the equation is not his first priority and he looking at the long run business wise.
One point that we did discuss was whether there were long term contracts that might be PR'd and the answer was that in general that industry doesn't enjoy them much these days. The loss of a competitor should remind us that the Far East is a constant day to day agressive compeitor in the bidding for some of the type work Michelex offers. I hope we have the high automation necessary to win that battle.
Now can we get to a dime and then move on from there...please!
zagdad
Rich, I know nothing about NDOL (but I did run and look at the chart) and my crystal ball needs a re-work so haven't clue one could bet on .....BUT where do you think we will be if in the next 60 days we have a hit at Hardeman (good for spending money, hit BOTH possibilities at Mesa with both gas and oil finds (they have admitted to looking for both and thinking odds are good for both - possible numbers staggering and with more 000s than my calc handles - will have to upgrade...LOL), announce the re-start of the near miss at Glascow, along with new contracts (I get the feeling everytime I call in that they aren't sitting on just these deals but always turning over new rocks..)....but if/when we get there I don't think we will do the re-tracement that NDOL has gone through..just do the possible numbers for EDEX...wow!
Dammm, can cause restly sleepy times.....LOL
zagdad
sal, well I got lucky in timing of my entry on this one but haven't sold a share yet and think we've only just begun! On the other hand I was not quick enough to get another pile on the last knee jerk reaction and bounce off .05 - wanted to but no beans available in time.
I'm wondering how dramatic of a move upward might occur if Hardeman comes in after the big drop from a kind of a miss with Glascow - which in the end won't even be a miss when we go back a do it right! And think of the reaction to a success at Mesa - don't think the day after will offer a bargain basement entry price.
zagdad
lowman, hmmm, join jagman in having a position here so please be merciful to us orphans. The new VTYC is dedicated to O&G, has some interesting consultant help such as a Mr. Laser, out of FL, a highly respected, nationally known wildcatter out of FL these days (I think a googling will bring up his rep), and was smart enough to grab some of the gem EDEX/Mesa project. If Mesa meets with success I'll feel real good just hangin' on to EDEX's coattails for a while! They have some other things at work so I expect in the near term we will see the kind of opportunity that will be of much interest to others.
Thanks for revitalizing the board with new name and symbol. They can't do much to erase the past varied attempts in different business pursuits but current management is dedicated to G&O and has a strong background in it from education on. And they are fully reporting.
zagdad
OT - hi mimurray, well that makes a 4th that spent a lot of time in Mpls area checking in, right beheath the New Hope water tower...less time there that you guys I'm sure but enough to experience a lot between the Twin Cities and Thunder Bay. For a beach boy from CA when I arrived that was a bit of a change!!
I'm expecting big things from this puppy, so let the fun begin!
zagdad
ice, so can I conclude that you haven't even visited their offices yet? Too bad, now I guess I understand your frustration. Next you'll be telling us that you haven't talked to any of the key execs in this deal? Too bad, guess you would be whistling a different tune had you - stil time though, I figure come Labor Day things across the boards are going to wake up.
zagdad
OT - arkieboy, well another guy who shares my idiosynchrcy - love the smell of coffee but never liked the taste (including toffee, kalua, etc.) and went cola a million years ago - the saving grace was who ever invented the Diet DR Pepper taste - finally was able to switch, save 1000 calories a day, and stay a happy camper!
Wonder where the news I expected is? Soon I bet....
zagdad
Hi ws, well if you don't like dry holes, you have come to the right place. As you will learn they are building their business foundation by including carefully selected re-work opportunities, along with more traditional exploration, for their early portfolio where risk is at a minimum, revenue extremely likely and early, and better than average opportunites are possible. I think I like reveune coming in early as it keeps the lights and minimizes dilution. They seem to be doing a good job of walking us through this most recent commitment via update PRs - hope it continues.
GL, zagdad
investo, thanks, that was my thought and it seems to get confused with other lists like the SHO for some. So while we are no longer on the SHO it doesn't speak to the 8M improperly handled shares. While I try to keep up with all the written and spoken word of the company maybe I have forgotten - where did the original fact that this event occurred come from? and has there been any even semi-reliable updates on where it stands now?
I have a nice position and think the company will do well in any case but such a short situation would accellerate my happiness!
T, zagdad
I inquired on a portion of your post the other day - the fact that the 8M said to be mis-handles/sold likely doesn't show up on the conventional reports, does it?
Is there decent confrimation of the 8M still being owed and for real?
TIA, zagdad
Tomorrow - another step....
zagdad
Interested longs and investors, I was able to get the essential today as promised on the TA and OS so will leave them here while the board goes through it start-up activity.
TA = Florida Atlantic Stock Transfer
(954)726-4954
OS = 37,832,608 ( 27,000,000 were retired today)
IMO float is less than 50% but TA can't offer that number.
I think with the current active oil project about to generate initial revenue and a nice low OS/float they are an interesting company to look further at.
zagdad
japdilla, I don't, do you? Maybe you were reminding yourself - if so, good boy.
zagdad
Can some one point me back to a post that maybe answers my question if you know of one or just help me out. I don't understand how the rumored 8M of shares that were improperly handled (I'm being kind!) and are needed to be re-bought would find this standard list? I thought this 8M was a side deal gone wrong and wouldn't really get the shorts tag. Likely missed something?
I like the idea and the prospect of someone owing us big time but would that count get on the SHO list?
Thanks, zagdad
Rumor has it that our boss, Tom, was seen going into the Sagoma Plastics head shed earlier today ...could that mean? .. could that have sparked the interest? .. is that enough to warrant double digits pps? Hmmm, seems like the pieces are coming together slowly but surely!
zagdad
visitors, apparently I was a little premature in highlighting the new IHub board to some over on RB as I caught it on a test run and the moderator indicates it will be "under construction" for a while longer. Just picture us setting in a elevator with the lights out chatting...no problem, right? The nice news is we are in the basement and the up button is still operational.
zagdad
Hi ib/alpha, sorry that I got excited and posted on RB when I saw the newly created board for TRSI show up on IHub as I like the majority of their boards better - better folks and better rules - but apparently it was a test run and it is still under construction so we might not be able to have easy access to much from IHub until next month. The moderator putting things together has a good reputation I hear and I have followed "lowman" over on EDEX so know he does a great job there. Glad to see someone with interest take the reins as not many know about us yet IMO. No I don't work for the company or the IR firm but been in for a while watching the development and please with this recent deal.
zagdad
Hurley, I will assume that pic was not an answer to any part of my question - you just hit the reply button to get a screen to work with? Unless each one of those folks have one of the said illegally shorted shares a piece! LOL
zagdad
Does anyone have any update that the 8M is still out there to be recovered or is that just speculation or wishful thinking on our part? It doesn't look ther have been many buyers of late and its not gonna get much cheaper IMO. Doesn't compute does it?
zagdad
lowman, thanks for the effort to set up the board. "If you build it, they will come!"....I think TRSI will earn the visitors - of course a nudge here and there never hurts!!
Bargain basement prices here so maybe a blue light special would be appropriate!
zagdad
The inaugural post - great new little O&G company with its real first contract of substance closed and initial revenue likely in September from a re-work. Thanks lowman for setting it up.
zagdad
Ice, I wasn't gonna waste another minute on you but I love this latest show of ignorance and if anyone ever wondered if you do any real DD midst your bashing this will allow them never to even consider the idea again...
You said...
"Does that look like a merger is at hand in the Near term? Good Luck....with the disapearance of AHM from recent ETLC pr's it looks like the merger is not going to happen...and I would bet the SEC or Land TItle of Texas has something to do with Removal of AHM from recent PR's"
Now try reading the last PR below, dated 8/3...man, see any mention of AHM?...you are a lost cause, I really hope you never own this stock and make a penny from it ...(I know, I know..this response is likely worth a quarter but I'm in the giving mood...) and I hope you will drag this entire post over to RB where I have you Iggied and post it to show your brilliance - or maybe someone else will when they need make you da man!

thx to both of ya - yep, it is the marketing and timing that often makes the diffference - lots of the best products have died on the shelf or the hands of the engineer....
zagdad
iceman, well another obvious personal short coming in the world of finance, teamwork between partners, etc. - another reminder to me why you are Iggied in the RB sandbox.
Think about it - you are planning to merge but waiting on certain things to happen, like the move to the BB (done), the launch of the product (likely done but unannounced), the filing of the 14C (likely submitted - awaiting response) and AHM has already announce the intent to bring cash (BIG bucks) to the deal for operations - hmmm, maybe it doesn't matter at all that AHM gives them a line of credit to work with as I want the company I'm merging with to not miss abeat while things get accomplished and the deal finalized. They will see that money back in any case and most likely it will get leveraged though the success of ETLC during the finalization period ..and they avoid any need for dilution or restricted internal action. By the way I'm sure you have noted little to no dilution for quite a long time now...hmmm? And oh yeah, last intent was that the Prrinciple at AHM will be the CEO of the companies...) Wow, maybe there are correspondence courses that cover this basic stuff...
GLTA, zagdad
Fellow longs, I know some of you have more personal knowledge/experience with the company's management so maybe you can offer me some rational relative to current company action. They are said to have a number of events/successes/etc. lined up but they are not getting the info out on a timely basis. We are not going to get to another pps level and maintain it IMHO with sporatic PRs and not much solid content. Everytime we get some interest generated there is no follow-up so we are almost just a momo toy in the sandbox. There has to be contracts that cause them to go to a third shift, there has to be a real status on the earlier this year activity to buy/merger with another company, status on all the hi-hinks with Cornell, along with alot of other "rumours" about good things happening BUT they need to learn how to market to the financial world and get some timing in place, not be late with the easy stuff, update the shareholders, etc.
So am I the only one who doesn't understand their approach?
They look like they have great potential but we aren't seeing it in the pps or outside interest yet IMO. Its good for us and its good for future financing, deals etc. for the company also. If anyone knows them personaally - help them, give them a kick in the shins and some advice! They'll thank you later.
And, oh yeah....go MLXO!
Zagdad
lowman, I tired to go to the site and went back and forth to change the ads on the right (one up and one below, right?) but never did see one for EDEX? Are we supposed to be there or ??
zagdad
Okay, anybody got an update on when the start of the flow of news "goodies" will begin?
zagdad
lowman, sorry I didn't see you were responding as I was typing...zagdad
Kingman, if I may - there a few factors that played a role in the timing of each and overall. With NM there was physical infrastruture to cpmplete and sign-offs that needed be completed, plus get a schedule date with the rig operator (who encountered a physical problem with one of his rigs).
The Texas situation is completely unique and not really under EDEX's control as we are a minority JV player. The only factor common between the two was the importance that the PIP key personal were sought to be at each of these inital wells in a new field. That didn't end up being a factor IMO.
Demand for rigs every where is extreme. Just read where the Saudis are pulling rigs from Mexico so must be hestic out there. The good news is that we have a strong team working together and we should get good service as needed going forward.
zagdad
OT - ouch - 8% but even worse for the Left Coast as that's where we get most of ours and we are alaready leading the nation in cost /gal...and of course the majors will likely raise prices on the news, not the point when it's a actual factor, and then take forever to respond to good news....
Go Tom and EDEX - find some oil, we need it!
zagdad
IHDR, I agree as while there are a few folks over on S&Mers board talking up and asking about MLXO - no outward support or emails YET - might be some front loading but in the end I'd really see the stock move up on the turn around and fundamentals since it appears so under priced here. Better than a day or two of momo for most of us - don't think I'm nimble enough to do it perfect ans not miss the big run.
zagdad
bb, thxs, I thought when you take cash you get a receipt on the spot? Maybe small bills are still being counted.
zagdad
Hmmm, someone needs to help them with marketing ...how long does it take to write a PR saying you paid the bill...hope it is for more than that after this missed timing...momentum is nice to take advantage of to get to a next level.
zagdad
Hi Schekin, glad to be of service! Welcome on the ride.
zagdad
We are through the .09 barrier - hope we can leave it in our rearview mirrors by end of day!
zagdad
Jag, sorry but I grew-up learning that "close" is also good in gernades and sex, in addition to horseshoes ...and there very well could be more....couldn't there?
In this case, I think it was very business smart of them to be convinced that they were close/near the right spot but given the choice to re-do for much more production than what they had encountered it was well worth the time and money over time to do it right. Decisions made by experienced investors and oil men of which our company was just a small player. I think we will love the eventual benefits for the cost and time. Do I wish it had happened right the first time - YEP!
zagdad
yafa, yep been around way too long but 99.7% out now. The good and the bad was that we had the best product in a hot tier that could have taken us to great heights but a dummy CEO who is still at the helm and doesn't have a single business, marketing, sales, communications, common sense bone in his young body! Guess I'll stay away from his personal deficencies....LOL
zagdad
Badge, thanks for the link - nice reading about the area and potential ahead of us.
zagdad
