Just increased my position by 15% at .34. If it goes lower, another great loading opportunity.
The only thing collapsing right now is JnJ's court cases and multi-billion dollar portfolio. LOL
It would not surprise me one bit if JnJ whistleblowers came forward long ago, have been deposed, and all ducks are in a row as far as using their testimony in any upcoming trial. JnJ should soon get an up-close-and-personal look at what they're facing. All IMO.
See post #15103 for an idea of what kind of settlement could be involved here.
Thx for answering my question re. the significance of "5," as in 5 weeks for appeal. I concur with the content of your message, that JnJ is in big trouble; however, I don't know how they could have 5 weeks to appeal when there has not yet been a ruling from the hearing on the 22nd. How can they have a specific time to appeal when there has not yet been a ruling? or are you referring to the USPTO Court ruling??
Countdown is on-will it take a week, or will it be a couple of months? G, what significance does the magic number 5 have?
It takes time to build a business, especially a potentially industry-changing business. To many, when a stock doesn't skyrocket in a month or two, suddenly the company becomes a "scam," even if the quality of the people managing it is top notch, which IMO is true here. Patience is a virtue and a lost art today. I'm excited about what this company and it's performance/prospects will look like about May time frame next year.
Good to hear. Can't wait to see how it turns out....
"No ruling and then the last thing everyone remembers was the Perry Mason moment in court last week. No ruling = mediation and settlement."
With no ruling today, it hopefully looks like settlement here we come. Maybe they've already been having discussions to begin the process.
You may be right. We'll see.
Thx d- I will still buy in, even at higher prices. GLTY.
I plan to increase my position by 10% next week when more funds are available, so I won't mind a lower pps. I hope everyone has a great holiday weekend. Long and strong DECN!
I am going to hedge my prediction just a little. I am saying October-November for a cease of hostility and reparations to be paid.
Mr S, still holding to the same timeline for a settlement?
Just needs to eat a lot more (volume).
Unleash this beast!
As I've been saying all along, good times are coming, whether today or in the future, IMO. Exciting times.
You may or may not be right about an acquisition of the entire company; however, I think a couple of the conditions for a sale to whomever, will be for continued production of Genstrip so that diabetics benefit, and so that employees keep their jobs for at least a period of time (maybe 5yrs??). IMO
None have done well as long term holds, huh? How many stocks on IHUB have you personally followed? All of them? LOL
Some of us are convinced of the high quality of management, as well as their desire and intention to do what's right (not necessarily what's expedient). When we don't hear much info for a time, we still have confidence that they are working behind the scenes for the growth and development of the company. In short, we give them the benefit of the doubt, knowing that it takes a loooooong time to upset an industry and build a top-notch company.
Others, when there is a dearth of information for whatever reasons, cast doubt on the company's management, direction and even viability. The apparent results of the court case yesterday validate once again the incredible team leading DECN and the direction the company is headed. JnJ is in deep water, and it's only because of DECN management's expertise and great master plan from day one, as well as their fortitude to carry it out in the face of sometimes, what seemed like, insurmountable odds. Fantastic job, KB and team!! Good times are coming-congrats to all longs for sticking with it! All IMO.
Thx Mr S. Very timely, pertinent and encouraging info as always! Appears J&J has more than met their match. Settlement time cometh....
ONLY 1 thing matters/: the hearing today. 45 min and counting! LOL
JnJ lost in patent court-NO PATENT!
The facts are the facts.
No valid argument now in this case-can only stall and throw money at delaying DECN. Eventually, a BIG payday for DECN!!
OH YES! But only the hearing matters now!!
There is ONLY 1 thing that matters-the hearing to begin in 1 and 1/2 hours. LOL
We can view non movement of stock price a number of ways. As you said, we'll have to wait and see what happens.
I can hardly wait to hear how it goes. If the judge removes the 105 patent arguments from this case, it could be a really short morning in the courtroom...but maybe then the benches outside the courtroom see lots of action. I wish the best to all the DECN lawyers and reps. Knock it out of the park!
They lose this one and J&J has to pay up--the longer they go, the greater the payout. I don't expect that tomorrow or next week share price will sky rocket. But wait til settlement payment kicks in...then lookout. All IMO.
Obviously, JnJ realize their case and arguments rest on the 105 patent (the lost case with USPTO Courts), or they wouldn't have filed a motion to delay removing that patent from this case. Doesn't look good for JnJ just from that perspective, since the 105 patent is now DEAD. If the judge doesn't grant that motion, what do they argue? Even if the motion is granted, their whole case is based on a non-existent patent.
The ONLY thing that matters right now is the hearing day after tomorrow. That's why I've set my GTC sell orders for DECN above $10/share!! LOL
When your plan all along is a "scorched earth" policy, why would they change anything now?
Really! That's news to me.
You can bet your bottom dollar that if a stock is going to soar or crater because of big after market news, good or bad, many with $$ get that premarket privilege.
In a premarket that is not open for trading pennies, I often wonder who gets the "privilege" of buying or selling? Today, a whopping $50+ was invested premarket for 20K shares of VGPR. Go figure....
Thanks for taking the time to explain - fascinating stuff! But I don't understand the timing of this all and exactly how it works. If JnJ fares poorly as you expect, then do they have a certain period of time to settle with DECN before the court's ruling becomes official? or does the court ruling mandate penalties, etc?
I've just increased my GTC orders for DECN into the teens-don't want to give them up on the cheap.
If anyone is inclined to pick up some shares of DECN, this might be a good time at these prices, IMO.
Looks like the wheels are turning at JnJ! Great info!!
I guess the market response today to DECN shows just how much of a non-entity the 10Q NT is right now with bigger fish to fry (figuratively and literally) this week.
All these side issues are irrelevant-smoke and mirrors.
The ONLY thing relevant right now is Friday's hearing (or a negotiated settlement by JnJ). If DECN wins, then the business will move forward in multiples IMO. I wouldn't bet against DECN at this point considering the USPTO Court's recent ruling.
Thanks for the update, and send our thanks to your partner, also. Ladies and gentlemen at JnJ, the phone lines are still open for you to call in and receive settlement counseling. Tick tock, tick tock-4 days remaining for JnJ to cut a meaningful deal and avoid Friday's impending debacle. IMO
