Trexville, maybe that's a nice "feather in our hat", but until I see a PR announcing a beneficial movie deal I'm not going to get too excited. Why should I?
Do we have a serious financing problem here?. Even tho I've detected a positive spin that NVEI has had offers, they are looking for a good financing deal, I'm real concerned.
I feel potential financiers want to see "solid evidence" that the tech will make money before they invest. But NVEI might not be able to get to that point without financing.
excel, while this "blackout" forces us to wait helplessly for news about the tech, it would be nice for a notable, independent publication or media outlet to recognize NVEI's potential.
I am a long-time shareholder and at the present time the ONLY thing I know FOR SURE about NVEI's situation is that "right now it's not bankrupt". I truly wish NVEI would actually DO SOMETHING to validate itself. ex. A movie deal FINALIZED not just talked about, a financing deal FINALIZED not just talked about, etc. Actually, I'd be satisfied if an independent expert would say something positive about the tech.
cosmoworld, "but many said that about shares that I bought over a year ago (that it would run in a matter of months)"
That sounds familiar to me, too. Only it started farther back for me.
excel, as a long-time shareholder, I'm tired of "false alarms" ex. the touting of the original tech, reverse split/NASDAQ, movie deal, financing deal, etc. I'm in too deep to sell right now. But if some have a lower average and see the lack of movement on the movie deal and financing deal (more dilution possibly ?), realistically, there could be some more selling unless NVEI "proves itself" with something significant.
Where is the share price heading without some significant news?
If just drawing their salaries is their ulterior motive, shareholders may continue to suffer. I hope this is not the case. That's why my "cut salaries now, salaries restored later with nice bonuses based on ACTUAL production" should be given some serious thought if no financing deal, or movie deal or positive tech testing by Shareholders Meeting. It would demonstrate to shareholders a firm commitment to ACTUALLY achieve something that will benefit shareholders.
Good report excel. Thanks for sharing.
How about a "good faith" 50% salary reduction until tech revenues are "in the books". Then nice bonuses along with restoration of full salaries.
excel, I feel like I'm "under the table". lol
I've "had it" with the "maybe next month" mentality with financing and the movie deals. I'll believe it when I see it. Any wonder NVEI is embarrased by zero volume today?
I wish now I'd have done the same.
"they are waiting to see the cards laid on the table."
Isn't "zero" volume a tad embarrasing to management? Is this something shareholders should be concerned about on top of the "sick" share price?
poorboy, you call this tech news "blackout" exciting? LOL
poorboy, that sounds like something Ray might say, lol.
Did the Brink's truck get lost on the way to NVEI?
deeba, have you ever noticed how some stocks go up before really good news hits? Coincidence?
Northern Trader and deeba, I'm not just talking about NVEI.
Maybe I am being naive, but if NVEI's tech is on the verge of being a "blockbuster", wouldn't there be some "leaks" from somewhere that would result in at least a little more buying resulting in a progressive improvement in the share price?
Didn't Ketch say that NVEI should be getting tech revenue sometime in 2003? Please correct me if I'm mistaken.
Probably in July.
cosmoworld, what do you think are the chances of that happening by the shareholders' meeting?
If this is true. What does he do for NVEI to be compensated like this?
"our $2,000 per week man himself, Mr. Ivan the Banker / Lawyer / World class Investor."
Is he really getting 2 grand a week?
Is Ketch indicating indirectly how testing is going?
"We remain convinced that we are still able to deliver faster speeds over the longest distances, and thus stand alone."
Obviously, testing must be going well for Ketch to make such a confident statement.
Am I wrong to assume that Ketch wouldn't make a statement like this if there were indications from the prototype-testing companies that the tech wasn't meeting their expectations?
Just trying to read between the lines on how testing is progressing.
I, too, am baffled by the apparent lack of of enthusiasm for this "super tech" from domestic financial institutions and/or financiers.
"We remain convinced that we are still able to deliver faster speeds over the longest distances, and thus stand alone."
It makes me wonder why the share price wouldn't react more positively to such a statement. Obviously, testing must be going well for Ketch to make such a confident statement.
jeff, I agree. Looks like NVEI is making progress. But a substantial "spike" in the share price looks to be "down the road".
When was "Step Into Liquid" slated to be released initially?
Trexville, thanks for the info, but what are the "big boys" waiting for?
"Right now they're waiting on some of the big boys who have told them they will definitely be making offers."
Has NVEI not traded this morning? What's up with that?
deeba, you may be right. My first reaction was that they were still "stomping" for more interest. Hope to see that movie deal soon.
I guess it's safe to say the tech development will not be getting any help from movie revenues for at least another month. Sheesh!
thegreatone, what do you think about the status of the movie deal and the financing deal? What if nothing definitive on either by the end of April? Would you be concerned?
Will there be any reason for concern if we go ANOTHER month without a real movie deal or the financing actually delivered to NVEI?
Groovemaster, what makes you think NVEI is on step 4?
Please NVEI, just show that "2+2=4" on something. Anything!
Cobra, when's the movie deal going to be announced, IYO?
milerman, you have certainly gotten my curiosity up. Why do you feel this way?
Thanks spokeshave, that's exactly what I was wanting to know.
