Sorry, it's a hot stock. T-trades are common. Not evidence of the company selling shares.
Please show evidence the company is dumping shares-I have seen no evidence of that. TIA
Zuckerberg's donation of $25M will be used for:
The gift "will provide flexible funding allowing [the] CDC to address the most pressing needs as the epidemic shifts and evolves," explained CDC Foundation president Charles Stokes.
The money will go to the CDC Foundation's Global Disaster Response Fund, "to help expeditiously address needs that are identified by CDC experts on the ground, and that could otherwise go unmet," the statement said. Those needs include things like:
equipment for community care centers
training local staff
generators
vehicles to transport lab specimens
identifying Ebola cases and tracing their contacts
support for safe burials
translation services
More than 1,000 CDC staff have been involved in the Ebola response, and 150 will soon be on the ground in Liberia, Guinea, and Sierra Leone. Frieden has repeatedly emphasized that the only way to contain the outbreak is to get it under control in West Africa.

I'm sure some funds could be provided for Hemopurifier if it is shown to be successful
If Hemopurifier works, the stock price will skyrocket, no question there. The biggest concern then, IMO, is how fast can the company manufacture it? It would be nice to get $$ from Zuckerberg's donation to CDC to pump these things out enmass!
I've been here a number of years, and am still holding strong. I invested (and recently increased my holdings significantly) because I believe in what AEMD is doing and their product. No way I'm bailing now to make a few bucks. These are the moments I've been waiting for! Hopefully the Hemopurifier can make a huge difference in many lives during this ebola crisis (and with other diseases in the future, also.)
DECN about to explode upward! What will $50M, or $75M or $100M settlement with JnJ do for this company? IMO, the settlement is coming soon!!
Lots more posting today--IMO something good coming soon to DECN :)
Hope the meeting goes well with Lilly. Maybe we'll start hearing some news/progress reports re. court case/settlement/etc next week. DECN headed to much bigger and better things soon, IMO!
Recent discussions on this board have questioned whether the Hemopurifier works to reduce the ebola viral load, or minimize the body's immune response and the cytokine storm that ends up killing the victim. This excerpt from the DECN press release yesterday indicates that both are targeted by the Hemopurifier:
In the care of ebola-infected individuals, the Hemopurifier targets two unmet medical needs: the rapid elimination of circulating ebola to inhibit continued progeny virus replication and the direct targeting of shed glycoproteins that overwhelm the host immune response. The device can be deployed for use within the global infrastructure of dialysis and CRRT machines already located in hospitals and clinics.
Also, the initial article in the Italian newspaper was published on the 10th, which indicates to me that the Dr and DECN team were at least in Frankfurt by the 10th (Europe time) administering treatments with the Hemopurifier. IMO, odds are, that DECN knew the patient was progressing well with treatments (2-3 days of treatments) or they wouldn't have issued a press release yesterday. Due to the fact that the patient was in later stages of infection (as per press release) when treatments started, it will probably be some time for the patient to recover from the life-threatening effects of this virus. Hopefully those effects have not been so severe as to prevent recovery.
I like it...sounds like a good plan to me. Our time is coming soon, maybe next week starts to light the fuse???
LOL ghost ship! This is more like a missile getting ready to launch to huge heights!! Countdown to launch has begun.
Great stuff! Thx for posting. Maybe we'll also get a follow on article from Forbes soon.
Thank you so much for coming to save us from nasty DECN managers. LOL
With each post I realize that he's here because of the incredible value inherent in DECN.
Oh you mean after a 15% increase yesterday? Who cares--it'll be up and down for some weeks until the settlement comes. Boy will it be nice then!! BTW, thanks for all your posts today-they keep me encouraged about my decision to remain long with DECN.
It will happen in the market's timing, not yours. So good that you're posting-I take great encouragement from that for my investment in DECN going forward.
Volume means nothing right now. It'll probably be in the millions once JnJ settles, and I'll love where share price is then.
I find it revelatory that most stocks move before "facts," or "news" even come out. They move on speculation or anticipation of what the market feels may happen. Also, valuation of most companies is based upon anticipation of what is going to happen in the future. Neither of these is based upon facts, but rather anticipation. That will be the case with DECN once legal issues are resolved-and I think soon.
Thanks for your question, Lion, it helps me to focus on what's most important. Unfortunately, you should contact the company to get specific info re. when financials will be provided since that's something I don't control. I'm sure when the new CPA firm is ready, all the financials will be brought up to date promptly.
I guess when you say it's "pure speculation" that isn't good enough. LOL
After a settlement is completed, I don't think DECN would accept an offer of a buyout from JnJ due to the fact that they fire everyone after acquisition. I understand KB desires to keep his folks employed regardless of an acquisition or not. That's why working with someone else like Lilly makes more sense.
You have great business acumen, Lion. Good luck to you as you go forward!
Thanks for your posts as always, they are really helpful. Yet you seem to be missing the point. JnJ can do anything they want, but there's a cost involved. It's a much cheaper route to pay off DECN and try to limit the competitive damage than to proceed as you've suggested.
Thanks for your post-helpful as always. Genstrip50 will be waaaayyy ahead of any generics still needing to go thru the FDA process once the legal case is over. As you know, the 3 years of JnJ lawsuits are the very thing that has kept Genstrip off the market to this point.
Lion, you just forgot one part of your post to which I'm sure Mr. S was asking that you provide the list of FDA approved generic products:
Generic Brands are probably sitting on the sidelines ready to jump in like sharks.
I agree Leirum. And the cash (BIG WADS OF CASH!) in the bank will fund a multitude of pallets of Genstrip50 (or private label) for shipments to the likes of Walmart and/or private label deals. Each day we get closer to that reality.
So your posts are stated as fact, but are strictly just opinion-without any basis of fact. OK. Just wanted to clear that up. Thanks for your posts. They confirm for me that I've taken the right approach to investing long term in the company that will take down JnJ soon. And the rewards will be HUGE!! Good luck to you. And please keep posting...every post keeps me encouraged on the direction I've chosen.
Could you please provide Proof of your statement re. insiders and promoters dumping?
Looks like insiders/promoters are dumping, and dumping hard. Why would insiders be dumping while at the same time having paid promoters tout the stock?
I appreciate your unbiased opinion Al-always helpful. Your comments help me cement my belief that DECN has a contract with Walmart, and will break the small company mold you spelled out, especially since Walmart came to them asking for their product. That appears to give DECN some good leverage to succeed with them since it gives Walmart what they're looking for-cost advantage. And DECN can sell an equivalent quality strip for so much less than JnJ that they can still make a good profit. A win-win-win for DECN, Walmart and DECN investors!
JnJ has many connections in the retail world...long term it looks ugly
Lion,
I believe the question asked before was, do you have data to support why long-term "it looks ugly" for DECN?
Lion, that's interesting. I thought Mr S had a great question. Certainly a person with a reasonable knowledge of business would admit that just because DECN's product isn't on the shelves of retailers right now (due to monopolistic and anti-trust behaviors of JnJ) doesn't mean that, once the settlement with JnJ is over, contracts (i.e. Walmart, etc.) can't be initiated/executed and product provided to the retailers who would love to have a competitive advantage over others. Don't you agree?
Thanks for sharing Lion. Adds valued perspective about the great victory DECN will have over one of the BIG boys!
JnJ losing 3 times in court already is proof enough for me!! Short term selloffs happen all the time. Normal stuff. DECN will rocket soon when JnJ gets stuffed for the final time. LOL Good times coming for long term shareholders.
Soon! Show evidence that it's not! LOL
Only "eggs in a basket" that matter are settlement with JnJ...it's coming soon and DECN will soar!!
Investing in stocks, by definition, is "putting all your eggs in one basket." Thanks for your consistent advice to the contrary, but I'm pleased with where DECN is, I'll stick to my plans and reap a great reward! Short term stock price doesn't matter one bit.
If rule 36 is invoked, do you think it will take the full 3 weeks for the Court to do so? And is that scenario part of your initial timeline for settlement?
UniStrip Case. I don't believe it says the JnJ appeal to the Patent Court is abandoned (DECN case). Doesn't it say that the JnJ case against Unistrip is stayed pending 1) JnJ dropping their appeal in the DECN case, or 2) Circuit court ruling on the appeal?
A lot changed over that time-it's called more court time w/ JnJ. That should all be over soon enough.
I can hardly wait to see the great Houdini disappearing act for all these naysayers about the 1st week of Dec!! LOL
