Van, we all know that over the course of 10 years there has been illegal naked shorting going on. There is a lawsuit to prove it, we don't have any clue on the extent of the short position. Could be and probably is massive, but one thing for sure someone is protecting it daily. Destiny's success will determine if this short position goes away and if it does those who stay will be very happy!
I agree, it is time to start hiring some employees and start putting these products in the game!!
Why don't you pick up the phone and call Steve, discuss your concerns and he will answer your questions. The market cap is $40 million, why should it be higher? Potential doesn't sell stock on the OTC, all because their are a few techies that think G2 could become huge doesn't sell stock, PROFITS sells stock, period!!
The company needs to be able to show the world they can turn this business into something, until then .60-.80 all day long!
We are all here on the potential of the company, not what they've done in the past. Once they deliver the stock will go up, BUT if they don't deliver we all made the wrong choice.
This is a gamble, its not Microsoft! Yet!!
Your kidding me, right? What this is the first line. The product hit a wall, the product was introduce Wednesday! Where are the good points?
>>>>So their flagship product has hit the wall they cant seem to monetize it further.<<<<
I'm afraid it will take some monster news release of a contract to get this started and we all know that most of those monster deals will not be made public. So the only other way is hope these contracts are completed and wait for earning to reflect the revs, this could take awhile. I guess there are 3 options, 1) either get out and move on. 2) trade it 3) keep adding $ like a savings acct and wait
Gotcha buddy! :)
So that conference was in Austust of last year, at first I thought that was from today's meeting. Sorry, trying to keep up at work, lol...
Sounds like we have another year to accumulate more shares!
LOL, dumb it down, classic!! Thanks Van for the summary!!
Tim, I'm confused about that and who the market research industry is and how would Destiny get paid trials with transient content and high profile customers first? Would appreciate if someone could kinda go through and tell us what we should expect going forward based on the PR. TIA
Can someone break down todays new release in english starting with the market research industry? Then the Self serve desktop and server based encoder software, support for ad delivery networks, a credit based e-commerce system and marketing materials are all under development. The company expects to roll out commercial offerings to other customer verticals in Q3.
What kind of customers are we looking at in these areas? Been here 2 years and still don't understand the tech side of it! TIA
Common, wouldn't they have disclose if they were selling like they do if they are buying?
Looks like the demo page has changed:
http://dsny.com/g2/showcase.php
So I'm guessing a lot of Destiny contracts will be done without announcement to the public, so the other company involved doesn't have to let their competitors know what they are using. So for example they can land a deal with google but won't be able to announce the name of the company.
>>>>>While G2 could put some companies out of business, it can immediately improve profit margins for many companies. Transcoding companies, ad agencies, content delivery networks dont have to tell their clients about this technology, they can just use it and dramatically improve their profit margins.
If your customer(s) is happy with your product/service and you find a cheaper supplier, you dont tell them you improved YOUR cost do you?>>>>>>>>
There are several posters that talk to Steve on this board, has anyone asked him if G2 will ever provide HD quality video?? I'm sure there is a market for lesser quality video especially for advertising and that would make DSNY a good stock, but HD quality video compared or prepared for youtube would make this a "very big stock". I for one won't sell if the answer is no HD, but someone knows. TIA
The videos sure look like HD on my cell phone, crystal clear!!!
I may be mistaking but I believe Destiny is in their 3rd qtr.
I agree, time will tell if they can get the pure HD quality into G2 but you have to admit they have come along way. If it runs without delay and they can improve the video a tad, then there would be no reason a company wouldn't adopt this technology. All because today the quality isn't perfect doesn't mean they can't get their eventually and if they do this will be a goldmine investment.
I just watched a video on yahoo, a interview with the Michigan basketball coach, the interview was approx 2 minutes, if took atleast 5 minutes to get through with all the pauses, terrible!! This morning I watched the jump video again with one pause, now that was nice!!!
Good to very good quality on all devises the will be a very good investment imo.
HD quality video on all devises then this is a one in a life time investment imo!!
Time will tell....but because its not perfect today doesn't mean they can't get there tomorrow!
I agree, most investors will wait to see if they can sell the product before buying shares, but we should wake up once the commercial version is ready. I'd rather be waiting for contract news and getting the release behind us. My guess we'll find out in the next 3 months if Destiny is going to be a major player or not.
Any news relating to Google or Facebook with Destiny would eliminate all concerns of the short position in this stock, lol
I can say yesterday was much better then before but still not perfect which I don't think is possible on my computers, even the youtube videos pause when watching, so I have other issues with slow internet and older computers. I've sent Steve updates on what is happening and everyday I see improvement, I will check again tonight. They are doing a great job working on this, hope they finalize G2 this week and roll it out next week!
Van, have you spoken to Steve about your concerns with the markets in Canada/Germany and has he said anything about what they might do about it, TIA?
I take that back, having trouble watching hockey tonight and tried some youtube vids and having problems with them. My network must be terrible.
What percentage would everyone put on G2 actually working properly as advertised? Right now I'm concerned, I can watch a live hockey game on my computer without interruption but cannot watch Destiny's videos. I mean work on all devises and computers. TIA for anyone willing to guess!
Guido video --continuous stops downgrading, slow CPU
Sita - samething pauses evey 3 secs
Jump - played perfect
Play MPE - terrible
Wow, not good for me!
Come on are you serious? There are several of us having issues, just because yours is working doesn't mean they should bring it live. It needs to work for everyone!
If it does everything below, then it will definately be worth the wait and we all will make a lot of money :)
Destiny Media Technologies Inc. announced that a pre-release prototype of its new
disruptive video technology is available to view at http://www.dsny.com/g2.
Clipstream G2 is a new cross platform streaming video format which will play
directly, without a player plug-in, on smart phones, desktop and laptop computers,
tablets, e-readers and any other device with a standards compliant browser. Once
encoded into G2, the files and web page code are uploaded onto any brand of web
server. This simple, standards based approach makes it easier to protect and
secure content, enables nearly 100% of the viewers to stream the video and
reaches many times as many viewers with the same infrastructure and bandwidth
as other solutions. Prior to Clipstream G2, there was no standard streaming video
format on the web as different browsers play different streaming solutions. Video is
typically encoded in common formats such as Flash, WebM, H.264, Ogg Theora,
Windows Media, Quicktime, etc. and must be encoded into more than one format to
reach a broad audience. This conversion process (transcoding) is expected to cost
the industry $1.6 billion by 2014, according to a 2007 report by Frost and Sullivan. In
addition to the direct transcoding costs, extra formats require extra storage and
increased need for data center real estate, IT staffing, air conditioning and power.
By contrast, Clipstream content is only encoded once, eliminating transcoding
altogether. By using HTTP progressive download and eliminating the need for
streaming servers, Clipstream G2 is able to harness the power of HTTP caching
servers already widely and globally deployed at ISP's. To save external bandwidth
costs, ISP's automatically make local copies of popular web content, so that their
customers can access without going to the source web server. Because G2
streams look like web content, they are also copied locally, so subsequent visitors
from that site can access the local copy rather than burdening the source server.
This recycling of streams can have a tremendous impact on cost and reliability. In
2012, Accustream research estimated that $3 billion per year is spent on
outsourcing hosting to content delivery networks. If the stream is recycled, it means
that the source site can save 99% or more on infrastructure and bandwidth costs or
reach 100 times as many viewers. Because the cached stream is "close" to the
viewer, latency is reduced and the quality of delivery is improved. Destiny"s
proprietary cross platform streaming video technology is protected by seven patent
applications, which are currently pending.
I respect your views but still disagree with them. My point of view is that Van knows the potential and is sharing it with as many people that want to listen, the company is trying to get the product ready for launch, until launch there is no product to market. There is nothing worst then marketing, telling the world your product is going to change it, then never bringing the product to market. To me that would look like a pump and dump company trading at .70. If and when the product works and if it does what they say it could do then the contracts and publicity will follow. Again these are just my opinions and I do respect yours!
Right now my concern is getting the product to do all that its suppose to do, if that happens the contract announcements alone will be enough to let the world know about our Destiny!

Brooklyn, now that were friends I have a question regarding your lack of confidence in Destiny's ability to market G2. Why do you believe they will not market G2 properly? We all know you cannot market a product before it's ready for market or properly protected and I believe we all know it's not ready just by trying to play it on our computers so imo marketing it now would be a big mistake until completed. jmo
I look at the history with their only other proven product MPE, I believe the company has landed every possible large company they could with that product. So they definately did a good job marketing MPE! (Universal, EMI, Warner, Sony and one thousand other labels use Destiny's secure distribution service to deliver most of their pre-release music to radio, online retail, DJ's, sports stadiums, journalists and VIP.)
Personally I think we should hold judgement until after the release of G2 to the market before we worry to much about marketing. If they land these type of customers in the video field as they did for MPE then I believe that $40.00 target we are throwing around on this board could be realized, again jmo.
So again please explain your consistant stance on Destiny's marketing flaws so I can try to understand your point of view? I really want to understand! TIA
Sounds good brooklyn! Going forward I'm just going to focus on G2, the Company and making some money! GLTY
Thanks Common, thats good to hear that this just isn't me. I didn't want anyone to think I was a basher, lol....I'm with you, I'm sure they are working to get everything right.
Tried Google Chrome this morning, still not working properly on my computer, sent note to company on what the problem was, hope it helps.
I did try firefox tonight, I have internet explorer which I used this morning and tonight when I got home I tried firefox which is my default browser. I wrote down exactly what it said downgrading slow CPU error then it kicked me out all together, I tried again and it wouldn't give me a play arrow, it was like a still picture. It has to be my computer, because it works fine on my phone and laptop. Tomorrow I'm going to reinstall firefox on the computer and see if that clears it up. Been getting alot of redirects using firefox anyway.
My main computer speeds ping 135, download 2.48, upload 1.15, still having major problems watching the video, getting a downloading slow CPU error, then it booted me out completely:
Laptop speeds, ping 195, download 6.67, upload 1.41, not getting any errors on the laptop
Your right, I not getting the connection speed bad like we were before, if it runs slow in just stops and spins, then starts again like any other video would. I'm somewhat in a rural area so my cable and internet have never been perfect, as long G2 works good for those who have high speed internet I'm happy with that. Like I said the other day was perfect, today not so much. I'm going to check my speeds when I get back to the house. I'm sure Steve will get it right, I'm betting on it!! Thanks for the update!
dd let me ask you this then, have they done anything with their videos on the website since they put them on line, I am under the impression that they have been updated from some of the posters today and yesterday. If not no big deal on the quality right now, what is Steve saying about the issues, if you don't mine sharing, thx!
On my laptop I'm using Mozilla Firefox , not sure if that make a difference.
I just tried it on my cell phone and it was perfect. Crystal clear with no chopping at all. I'm not on my home network so that may have helped, not sure. G2 on cellphones a massive market!
Thanks, going to check tonight. I'm guessing it's pretty slow if I'm the only one having this problem.
Tim, I will report back on mine later tonight, I'll do both my computer and laptop. My wireless is through AT&T and has never been stellar.
