Chart looks like someone may be quietly accumulating trying not to draw attention.
Ifinix http://www.ifinix.com/ifinixrealtime/ it's working it's way out of the beta stage right now so it's a little rough around the edges but the price can't be beat.
You need to learn and understand technical analysis, mainly candle stick charting, to help determine entry and exit points. Go here #board-7882 the iHub T/A board. Stock_Analyzer is the man you need to learn T/A from.
Q&A's ......
Q: What is a Level1 quote?
A: A display of the last price, volume and change from the previous price of a particular stock..
Q: What is a Level2 quote?
A: A display containing Level1 information plus the MM's who are making a market for a particular stock.
Q: What is a Market Maker or MM?
A: A broker who holds shares for the stocks it handles making a market for those stocks with it's Bid and Ask prices.
Q: What are the Bib and Ask prices
A: The Bid is where MM's are holding buy orders at, the Ask is where they are holding sell orders at.
Q: Why do some stocks have a larger spread between the Bid and Ask than others?
A: Larger cap stocks that are more liquid will have a smaller spread than a smaller cap stock that is less liquid.
Q: What does the term liquidity mean in the stock market?
A : Liquidity is determined by the level of trading activity and the ability to convert an asset into cash quickly.
Q: Why do different MM's show different Bid prices on the same stock?
A: Each MM displays the highest buy orders they are holding. When the MM at the top of the list has filled his orders he
will drop of and the next MM in line will be displayed as the current best offer. If a new MM comes in with a higher buy
order or a current MM receives a higher buy order, he will go to the top of the list.
Q: Why do different MM's show different Ask prices on the same stock?
A: Each MM displays the lowest sell orders they are holding. When the MM at the top of the list has filled his orders he
will drop of and the next MM in line will be displayed as the current best offer. If a new MM comes in with a lower sell order
or a current MM receives a lower sell order, he will go to the top of the list.
Note: If you are wondering how a trade can go through at a figure outside the current Bid or Ask without the MM list
changing is that it happens so quickly there is not enough time for the quote system to react to it.
Q: The Bid and Ask prices are the same? What's going on?
A: Called a Locked Market, where opposing MM's Bid and Ask prices match, usually occurring in highly volatile stocks.
Q: While watching Time and Sales, how do you know if a trade was a buy or a sell?
A: A trade at the bid is considered a sell. A trade at the ask is considered a buy. A trade in the middle can go to whichever
is closer.
I wonder why there isn't an MM at the bid with your buy order?
When you see those groups of small orders where they are gathering shares for a larger order it shows you that people are holding their shares and not selling.
Feel free to post the ticker for illustrative purposes so we can see what you are talking about. Just no pumping or bashing allowed.
Not sure I follow you entirely but when an MM fills all his outstanding orders he leaves the bid or ask and the order volume goes to the next MM in line.
If the trades all take place in a matter of seconds, it is an MM gathering shares for a large order.
Good morning. We had a good day yesterday, and were looking good. Let's cover a couple more topics today. I restated the Q&A's last night so take a look and possibly give me some ideas for other questions I should cover. Thanks
waller I found a definitive answer
Each MM displays the lowest sell orders they are holding. When they are filled they will display the next higher sell orders. Also about the Bid prices, each MM displays the highest buy orders they are holding. When they are filled they will display the next lower buy orders.
NHred I found a definitive answer.
A condition where opposing MM's Bid and Ask prices match, usually occurring in stocks that are highly volatile. It's just coincidence.
I just looked at time/sales for today and it traded while it was locked so the situation should not be a concern.
Was trading halted during that time?
Sorry for the reposts of the Q&A post. When I add to it I need to repost it for the iBox link.
I will add it to the Q&A's
Definition taken from investorwords.com
"A market for a stock in which the bid price equals the ask price (in other words, the bid/ask spread is zero)".
I am still looking for a reason they would do this.
Thanks, I added the link to the iBox.
I will find an answer if some one don't beat me to it.
Yes, not a problem. They are easy to do, cut and paste. Also, to put a picture in you post just use [chart"] before the link and [/chart"] after the link and leave of the HTTP:// from the beginning of the link. Also disregard the " after the word chart, I put them there so the site would not execute the chart command.
The bottom link in the iBox is a Q&A link. Questions and answers from the board will end up in there so it will be a quick place to check for answers. But feel free to expand on anything you find there.
I considered adding them to the iBox but decided not to as they are unconfirmed. I personally believe there are signals used but unless they can be confirmed I don't give them much thought.
That can get quite involved with screen captures and hosting the pics and such. But I'm sure links to infomation already on the web can be provided.
No problem, I subscribed to Realtime and need the education also.
I hope he is correct on this one.
Good morning. Let's see what today brings.
22 bookmarks in the first in 22 hours of the board. Nice
I am a new subscriber so everything will be OK now. Relax and have a few kegs of brew while we wait. I am going to plug my new board now so don't delete it overhead. LOL
If you are new to Level2 and need some questions answered go my new Level2 Education board #board-10298 I just started it and it's still under heavy construction so be patient.
He is stuck and trying to get out. LOL
.
Correct. They buy and sell just like we do except they buy at the Bid and sell at the Ask and the spread is their profit margin.
I will archive all answers on the board to compile a Q&A section for the iBox. Thanks
I believe that is where they are holding sell orders at. I will try to verify and get back to you. If anyone knows a correct answer please feel free to post.
Thank you, I thought it could come in very useful. Don't be bashful, if you see anything that could be useful let me know.
I still have a lot to learn myself. That's what the board is about. :)
I know I am probably in over my head so if anyone would want to be an assistant mod please PM me.
If you know of any posts or web sites or articles on the web relating to Level2 education that I can link to, please PM me.
<<I cant believe people still think this is a scam/lmao>>
