I sent IR a message and got a response within a couple of hours. Very impressive. I asked them to provide more information on the LAPT and Bob. Here's their response:
XXXXXXXX,
We will have more information on the LAPT as it becomes available.
As far as Bob Clarke is concerned, we are in the process of building a "Meet Bob the Butcher" page on our site. We'll make an announcement once it up and running.
Thanks for your interest in Vega.

Here's the Butcher Poker site...

Here's a couple links I found for Bob. There's not a lot out there, at least in Google land. Another problem is his name is very common. Hopefully the links work.

mkendra - I have the same question on bob the butcher. I did find a poker playing Bob Clarke in one reference (other than PR's from the company), but that's it. I'm confused on this issue as well.
As for the retirement of the shares...these weren't actually shares that were trading yet. The company listed them as issued to Bob, but their issuance was contingent on him fulfilling some things (they didn't say what that was), which he didn't do. So they took them back and retired them. They were not free-trading shares for sure. So they just had a theoretical affect on the stock price.
Hope this helps.
I may be wrong, but I see streaming video as a HUGE growth market...At some time in the not too distant future, there is very likely going to be internet-based TV service, just as VOIP is there for phone service now. Unless I've completely misinterpreted what Viewcast's products do, there should be huge demand for their products as a result. So this is what I'm basing this off of... Hopefully I'm right!!
Yeah, I just noticed that!!! Posted while I was writing...
But that's awesome news. Thanks for the info.
Assuming it's the transfer agent listed on the pinksheets website (computershare trust company in Golden, CO), I may be able to run up there tomorrow. I'll let everyone know what I find out. FYI, I won't be anywhere near a computer until sometime in the evening.
Edit: The information got posted while I was writing this!! I guess I don't need to go up there, then.
I'm new to this company...does the transfer agent give out the share information, or are they gagged?
I'm thinking one or more of the MM's took it down to cover a short position. I'm new to this stock...has there been a dilution problem lately??
You bet! When I was researching this company before I bought in, two things were pretty obvious:
1: This is an area of tech stocks that should have explosive growth (should being the key term), and alliances within the sector are absolutely vital.
2: Viewcast has a unique product that fills a huge void when streaming video really takes off. In my view, streaming video is just at the beginning of its life cycle. Boy I hope I'm right...
Guess we'll wait and see...I really want to see what the 4th quarter numbers look like.
Excellent!! Finally some news...
I guess nobody knows where we're going!! I'm hoping that the 4th quarter financials will show an upward sales trend. Their products SHOULD be in pretty high demand regardless of an economic slowdown, but that's just my guess.
So that's my opinion (or lack thereof!!).
Good point. Don't want to interrupt the bashing spree. But I guess they already jumped on it (death trap??). Whatever.
I'm going to go completely off the beaten path here...If the dumping happens to be over for the time being, the chart actually looks pretty good. We might get a short-term pop on this thing. But the dumping has to stop before this will happen. Has there been 200 million in dumping volume yet??
KMX - The F-10 chart is old...as of 12-31-06 I believe. But you are absolutely correct...be wary of these. The good news is the management of the company has been pretty straight forward for as long as I've followed this company (since 2005). But if they wanted to play games, they certainly would be able to with this structure.
I don't have a clue...I just saw the pps and started looking into it. I haven't found any news for the company yet, but I've just started looking...
EE - I absolutely agree...
Regardless of which company is doing it, these types of trades show up more frequently when the company is selling shares. I think that's what the REGDEX sec filings are about (I didn't actually pull them, so I am sort of reading between the lines). And we apparently have a T/A that doesn't divulge share info (again). Not a good combination (IMO of course).
It'll take that long for me to learn the song!!!
Nah, I wouldn't make fun of you all. The other day when I went to work at 5:30 a.m. it was about 5 degrees, windy, with about a foot of snow on the ground. I'd take some nice, warm, humid weather about now!!
Take care and enjoy the white stuff while you have it.
Mind - You 'da man!! I knew it was from a soundtrack, but I couldn't figure out which one. I initially thought it was from Good Will Hunting, but that didn't pan out.
Now I just need to learn to play it. When our stock takes off and we all meet years from now, I'll play it for everyone (assuming we can find a piano).
Stupid is as stupid does...
Does anyone recognize the song? I've heard it a bunch of times and can't place it. It's one of those things that's going to drive me crazy(er)until I figure it out!!
Great find, Who!!
And Happy New Year to everyone!!
This is kind of interesting...Looks like our CEO is keeping busy.

That's a classic pink sheet move...file with paper so it takes some effort to find out what the registration is. These are frequently private placements (although this may be something else just FYI). Either way, it's a sign there's something going on that the company doesn't want people to know about right away.
And with almost a million shares already. This seriously sucks.
Company Mascot: The Flounder!!
But either way you smell like fish at the end...
Thanks...I'll check it out. I like the looks of the future for this company. They're pretty leveraged by debt, but at least their cash flow has turned positive. And the float looks like it's pretty small. If they get the 20-40 percent increase in sales they're hoping for, this could be very good for us.
I'm OK with that, too...Especially if he gets a cell with Bubba.
That shows how bad Moody really is...Big Apple doesn't even want anything to do with him. That's bad.
Thanks Prof. I'm sure there will be plenty of chatter when things start moving...I'm hoping for some good 4th quarter numbers!!
But that still wouldn't explain all the trades at the ASK, unless the accredited investors have a way to not sell at the bid...but maybe I'm wrong here.
I don't think so (selling more shares). The vast majority of volume has been at the ASK today. Lots of activity at the BID would indicate the company (or others) selling. Please, correct me if I'm wrong.
Hi all. I'm new to this stock and just wanted to say Hi. To me this looks like a pretty good entry point (.36)...Any thoughts?? Thanks.
Yeah..unfortunately it is still restricted. But I tried like crazy to sell it today!!! Maybe I'll bury a Joseph next to my computer.
Wayne - You have TD Ameritrade? Mine shows a balance now, and for a short time showed the WTCT at the front. I tried to sell them but the system didn't let me. Dang. Shafted again. I hope you've had better luck with them!!
Maybe they could make an honorary run of CT's and call them "skiertrackers" or "cyberskiers."
OOH. I didn't think of that. Probably rented.
