HEPH seems to be slowly coming back up. I guess if the big order from HHS doesn't come through then I will need a take-over bid to happen in order for my dec calls to go into the money.
I don't know either. I was doing the same thing when you posted. I can't find anything on Project Bioshield either that is new.
Last time that happened with me was when Ameritrade paid that $6 dividend and they were changing CUSIP numbers. I couldn't trade for a few days.
How recent were those conservations?EOM
I agree. I am long PAIM and I think that there is money to be made but I have my doubts about that much that quick. I hope we are wrong. As someone earlier mentioned maybe a reverse merger could happen. Anyway, I am in for the long haul so it doesn't matter to me if things happen that quickly just as long as they happen someday.
OT: Questions for old-timers in pink sheets.
Who is a good broker for dealing in pinkies that has Level II. I have an account with Scottrade but I don't have Scottrader Elite. Is there one that has good commissions for pinkies and Level II? I have an Option trading account but it is expensive to buy pinkies through them. Ameritrade has something called QuoteScope for level II, does this include pinkies and otcbb?
If you are looking to take a large position in a stock, say a million shares, do you break the order up into smaller chunks based on the daily average volume of the stock or do you just enter a limit order for the whole thing and hope it doesn't run the share price up before it is completely filled?
Do you think the IR guys ever read these bulletin boards. I can imagine that management probably doesn't but it looks like it would be advantageous for the IR guy to get a feel of investor sentiment.
I got a 10k partial also.eom
It certainly is refreshing. I am glad I got in.eom
Just bought some a few minutes ago at .045. I guess it is still possible to pick up below .05. I am in long term and don't mind waiting as long as I think a company is making progress. I appreciate the effort that has gone into this board.
Anyone watching this one? I read in a post that they just completed financing with Cornell and that may not necessarily be a good thing.
Thanks, I thought I had read that somewhere. Maybe I'll still be able to sell the Dec calls if everything falls through.
Hey, maybe they could change the name to Ewing Oil...
They could have shareholder meetings at Southfork Ranch.
Younger folks may not remember the TV series Dallas from the mid to late 70's where the Ewing family had an oil company in Dallas.
I have been watching for announcements. Did I miss anything? Of course I have only been watching for news concerning Hollis-Eden and may not have seen the announcement of gov contracts being awarded.
Does anyone know for sure if this email was definitely Hollis-Eden. I think the deadline for the gov contract announcement was 9/15. I have some Dec 10 calls.
I could use a ride. I have to cover the loses on all of those blue chips the last few months.
So much info, hard to digest and connect it all. eom
Probably nothing. See 15341,15342,15345.eom
BWWC is probably Black Warrior Wireline Corp and of course Black Dragon is Black Dragon Resources. I think I read where Black Warrior recently sold a unit or some assets. Maybe they sold them to Black Dragon. I suspect this picture doesn't have anything to do with BIGN but I don't really know.
I hope you are right WarEagle.
I still like Tyche....
According to pantheon.org Tyche was the goddess of fortune and change, and then of prosperity. Maybe the company will live up to its namesake!
On making oil deals...
Again, when I was working in Midland, Tx one of my more fun jobs was doing what is called a mineral takeoff. I had to do a couple for parcels of land in Ward County, Tx. What this means is I had to go to the abstract plant in Monahans, Tx, the county seat for Ward County, and find the tract book for my parcel of land. I then had to make a list of all of the instruments that effected this tract and then go the courthouse and look every one of them up and determine if it effected the mineral ownership of this tract. When I finished I had to provide a list of mineral owners, the rights they owned, and their ownership percentage. I also had to determine if the interest was held by production. This was for one tract of land. Once I was done the info went to the attorneys and you better believe when they got hold of it, it was a time consuming process. Some of these title chains were very messy with lots of owners. Imagine what is involved in buying an oil & gas company. The East Texas oil company probably doesn't own the mineral rights, they are probably just leased, but it can still be quite a process to verify everything. I have seen lots of little things get in the way of oil deals. It takes time to resolve them. I hope this is the case with the Bign and the LOI.
Again, I will continue to be patient for awhile.
Years ago I worked for some oil men in Midland, Tx. We owned abstract plants in several counties and dealt with a lot of oil men in and around the area. It was not unusual for them to share office space and have temporary offices. You could not judge their success by the size of their office's. Some of the richer guys had the worst looking offices. You could go into an office suite and there might be 5 companies represented there.
We set up an office in Tyler once and if you drove by and looked in the window you would have just seen a bunch of computers in one room. It looked like a bucket shop but we had a data entry operation entering land records.
I guess the point is, I am not going to jump ship just because of office space and no pictures on the wall. Now the guy that was rude may be another matter. I've heard two names mentioned. Gary and Boyd. Isn't Dale Boyd the IR guy for BIGN? If he is rude then it is a problem. That is not good IR. He is supposed to be good with shareholders, that is his job.
I have been holding Bign for nearly a year. I would just as soon it take another month to go up so that I get long term gains, LOL. Just kidding, I wouldn't want it held up for me but I am in for the home run even if it takes awhile.
Speaking of drilling in the front yard...
Years ago in Texas I worked for a man who drilled a well in the middle of a residential area in a small town (mine). The well site was about a 100 yards from the Eagle's Club. The club was at the corner of a large vacant lot and there were houses and apartments across the street. On the other side of the vacant lot there were residential areas about 200-300 yards away. He said they had to shutdown because of the sulfur gas.
Back in April and May Ignis was at 1.47. Unfortuantely I bought in over a year ago before I knew anything about penny stocks. Bign is much more company and has so much pending compared to Ignis it doesn't make sense to have the much pps difference.
Tyche Dallas Address
I posted this on the Tyche board last night.
I just found this website a few days ago. It is good to find a source of so much information. I have been sort of following BIGN for nearly a year now and have a few of the Tyche shares from the dividend . Another company that I am also following is called Ignis Petroleum. I just noticed that the address for Ignis is 100 Crescent Court, 7th floor, Dallas, Tx. I also noticed that the new address for Tyche is 100 Crescent Court, Ste 700, Dallas, TX. Does anyone know if these are related or is this just concidence? It is probably just a suite with several small companies but I just found it interesting.
